But doesn't the series have a history of throwing in subtle clues?
and reusing props [editline]4th September 2012[/editline]
I think it might just be me, but while I am completely in favour of you in Dan vs Day, September 2012, could we maybe leave it out of the thread? Like I said, I agree with absolutely all of your points, it's just kind of.. petty. And it leaves not much room for other discussions, such as why the fuck dinosaurs are on a space ship. Just putting that out there.
As far as I'm concerned that's the end of it anyway. I don't want to post about it too much as it makes it into some side-picking nightmare. [editline]4th September 2012[/editline]
The better question is, why aren't there dinosaurs on more spaceships.
Immigration would have a fit [editline]4th September 2012[/editline] Here was a US only prequel for Asylum. Who's eyes at the end? Why are they there? [editline]4th September 2012[/editline] And WHO THE FUCK WAS THAT!? This adds a whole new level to the fucking episode. Why was it US only? Why wasn't it just broadcast? [editline]4th September 2012[/editline] What is that reflected in the eyes? It's so weird. [editline]4th September 2012[/editline] Episode 4 is rumoured to have the Brigadiers Daughter as a main supporting character. Excited, but mostly excited for the second part of the series as I know so little about it. Rumours of Gaiman writing Cybermen, apparently an episode set in the TARDIS and an episode where Jennas character dies and The Doctor is told and afterwards he says "It's not that simple". Very interested in her character and this second half.
Well, that certainly explains why the Doctor was on Skaro inside a giant Dalek.
Wait, didn't Skaro get blown up with the hand of Omega?
Wait, didn't Skaro get blown up with the hand of Omega?
It was in an adventure game too so I assumed they retconned the fuck out of that Also, I thought Jenny only survived the gunshot because of the teraforming device thing? The shit she breathes out looks like the energy from it. I don't think she can actually regenerate.
That or similar to how The Doctor re-grew his hand that one time.
The Doctor was still in the first 24 hours of his regenerative process, or something like that, which let him regrow his hand. I don't think Jenny was going through anything like that, but I could be wrong.
She was "born" less than 24 hours before getting shot, that may be significant.
I believe the Doctor when he says that she can't regenerate.
I believe the Doctor when he says that she can't regenerate.
There are lots of things the doctor hasn't expected..
There are lots of things the doctor hasn't expected..
I figured he'd know more about this, seeing as it's Timelord Biology. Plus I don't think she'd get the ability to regenerate from a simple skin sample.
I figured he'd know more about this, seeing as it's Timelord Biology. Plus I don't think she'd get the ability to regenerate from a simple skin sample.
Didn't she have two hearts?
I figured he'd know more about this, seeing as it's Timelord Biology. Maybe the Doctor was letting his prejudice get the better of him.
Didn't she have two hearts?
It's one of the only episodes i've only seen twice, so I don't remember even so, I don't think Jenny will EVER come back. Terrible character from a terrible episode.
Wait, didn't Skaro get blown up with the hand of Omega?
Time travel [editline]4th September 2012[/editline] Earth also got swallowed by the sun. Guess we should stop visiting that too. [editline]4th September 2012[/editline] If she did come back it would only be fan-wank drivel unless it's a cameo. Georgia is kinda busy raising a new child anyway and I wouldn't want somebody else in the role just like that. The energy she breathed was because like when The Doctor when he lost his hand or when the Nazis shot River. She was still in the first 24 hours of her regenerative cycle, she had just been born.

Halfway through Miracle Day and it suddenly gets better due to surprise John de Lancie
But Skaro got blown up in the 1980's
So? That doesn't mean you can't visit it in the 1970's. And did they ever say on camera "This is the 1980's Skaro". It's implied the Timelords and Daleks are much older than our race anyway so would they date it like that?
I liked the fact that they put some original series Daleks in the background.
Halfway through Miracle Day and it suddenly gets better due to surprise John de Lancie
Wait for the flashback episode. You'll be hating RTD after that
I just watched that one. When the fuck was Jack immortal in the 1920s? I know he's gone throughout history, but I have a very clear memory of the Doctor abandoning him in the 2000s.

He died on the Game Station (not the popular Youtube group) at the end of Season 1, then got rezzed by Bad Wolf, though he got left behind. However he used a Vortex Manipulator to bunny-hop towards the present day, but went a bit far and he ended up in the 19th century; his second death occurring during 1892. He was found by Torchwood in the 1890s, and ended up in their employ for the next century or so; in the 20's/30's he was assigned to prevent a time-altering event from messing up the timestream, namely a parasite being used to influence the president.
Wow I completely forgot about the episode where it explains where he joined Torchwood.
I kind of half-predicted that plot twist, frankly.
Wow I completely forgot about the episode where it explains where he joined Torchwood.
why are you wasting hours of your life on that shit seriously miracle day should be put in the same cupboard that Love And Monsters and Fear Her occupies Destroying Classic Who? Fuck that, destroy Miracle Day if you own the DVDs
The writing is completely random. For the first half, the only thing the writers remember about Jack is that he likes to sleep with men, and is immortal. Then about halfway through, they remember "Oh yeah, he's known for fucking everyone, so lets give him long lusting looks towards all female characters." Also, Earth's Vagina.
Then his blood turns out to be the thing's blood
The entire exchange about blood reversing it makes absolutely no sense.
then whats his face being immortal made even less sense
So urhm, just to clarify... Miracle Day didn't make sense?
jack's blood makes anyone immortal basically so yeah it doesn't make sense
