Am I the only one who really liked Christoper Eccelston as the doctor?
We all do, son, we all do.
Nobody hates Christoper Eccelston. He's 'ard. Well he's not really but you always get that impression.
Nobody hates Christoper Eccelston. He's 'ard. Well he's not really but you always get that impression.
I can never watch his episodes the same after watching him advocating the rape of a child in 28 days later
It wasn't him really he was acting. He's good though so you probably didn't notice.
I've never seen 28 Days Later, can I get some context to this?
Neither have I, I was joking. [editline]8th September 2012[/editline] sorry
12 hours. [editline]8th September 2012[/editline] Thank god for VPN, waiting till 9 is unbearable.
But I think it was because at the time (to the Doctor and the Daleks knowledge) the Dalek race was completely wiped out. But because Rose touched the Dalek locked away in that prison chamber, it had some of her emotional DNA, which brought to light that the Doctor would look at that Dalek in another way. But for the rest of the series, they were just normal Daleks who were just themselves usually full of hatred and destruction, the other one during that episode had an emotional feel to it. (Again, it's just my opinion and please don't take it seriously.)
That isn't the point. The point is that they pulled that completely out of their ass, you'd think the Doctor would at least have some hesitation before committing genocide against pretty much all survivors of the war that already resulted in Genocide caused by himself. Also, it's a bit bullshit that he banished the Meta-Crisis Doctor to Pete's World because of "Committing genocide against the Daleks" when he himself did it countless amounts of times.
Today's the day!
And I can't watch it because I'm working at the Paras :,(
I've never seen 28 Days Later, can I get some context to this?
in the film he heads a bunch of army folk and has broadcast a radio message saying the answer to infection is at the house they're at. their 'answer' to infected is to rape women and impregnate them, because they believe the whole world is fucked (it's not, it's just britain) the main character travels with one woman, a girl, and her dad (he dies before the base)
It's not the actor that pilots the TARDIS, it's the Doctor that does it. :v: In other words, I think Smith's performance is a little bit more better than Tennant (while that's only my opinion.) I think he did great with emphasising the part of the Doctor that doesn't really know how to blend in (ex: those episodes where he works with James Corden) with other people. It shows off the part of the Doctor that is supposed to show he is just a little weird alien to us to knows oh-so much about us, but can't act among us. Tennant I belive didn't really show off the wacky side of the Doctor, it was always serious, which isn't bad. But when it comes to plans, the Doctor said (Even through his 9th and 10th stages and so far) he says many times throughout the show that he makes his plans up as he goes along either to impress his companions when they ask of a plan during danger, or HE REALLY doesn't have a plan and goes with the flow. While everything has it's pro's and con's, Tennant (for me) seemed a little over-dramatic at times when it came to the stuff relating to the other Time Lords and the whole deal of the Time War. But with Smith (in my opinion) it's a new fresh start for Doctor Who as in show terms, it's time to leave certain things behind and try and stay fresh not thinking or dragging what happened before around like a dead animal. While I'm just spilling a few of my opinions, you don't have to take them seriously or in consideration.
To me Tennant always looked like he was wearing pyjamas
The most important line of AoTD will probably turn out to be "You can do a lot in four seconds."
The most important line of AoTD will probably turn out to be "You can do a lot in four seconds."
I only last three :(
Am I the only one who really liked Christoper Eccelston as the doctor?
Of course not. I think some people found him a bit serious and dark, which I can understand but considering the doctor had just come out of the time war it made a lot of sense for him to be like that.
At least we all avoided the ovbious joke about Ecckle-Becckle's performance as The Doctor.
Which is?
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Brilliant
I will be streaming tonight's episode here. I'll start about half an hour before the episode starts, which is about 1900 British time, or about 2 hours from now.
Thank you, can't wait for this to start off! I mean It's Dinosaurs on a spaceship ..DINOSAURS
One hour to go! By the way, if Christmas is mentioned in the episode - make a note of it, won't you.
This is sort of Doctor Who related, I was playing SWTOR and saw a player named "Rivir Sahgn" I'm assuming the Sahgn is suppose to be pronounced/sound like Song.
Thank you, can't wait for this to start off! I mean It's Dinosaurs on a spaceship ..DINOSAURS
Hopefully it'll be better than Dino Crisis 3. [editline]8th September 2012[/editline] The intro was a different colour this week. Is this the new thing? Are they doing different colours now?
So many torches, feel like I'm playing BF3.
Christmas was already mentioned.
Watching it now with two kids I'm baby sitting. They weren't impressed with the pterodactyl scene because " it hasn't been proven that dinosaurs would eat people"
