That isn't the point. The point is that they pulled that completely out of their ass, you'd think the Doctor would at least have some hesitation before committing genocide against pretty much all survivors of the war that already resulted in Genocide caused by himself.
Also, it's a bit bullshit that he banished the Meta-Crisis Doctor to Pete's World because of "Committing genocide against the Daleks" when he himself did it countless amounts of times.

in the film he heads a bunch of army folk and has broadcast a radio message saying the answer to infection is at the house they're at. their 'answer' to infected is to rape women and impregnate them, because they believe the whole world is fucked (it's not, it's just britain)
the main character travels with one woman, a girl, and her dad (he dies before the base)

In other words, I think Smith's performance is a little bit more better than Tennant (while that's only my opinion.) I think he did great with emphasising the part of the Doctor that doesn't really know how to blend in (ex: those episodes where he works with James Corden) with other people. It shows off the part of the Doctor that is supposed to show he is just a little weird alien to us to knows oh-so much about us, but can't act among us. Tennant I belive didn't really show off the wacky side of the Doctor, it was always serious, which isn't bad.
But when it comes to plans, the Doctor said (Even through his 9th and 10th stages and so far) he says many times throughout the show that he makes his plans up as he goes along either to impress his companions when they ask of a plan during danger, or HE REALLY doesn't have a plan and goes with the flow.
While everything has it's pro's and con's, Tennant (for me) seemed a little over-dramatic at times when it came to the stuff relating to the other Time Lords and the whole deal of the Time War.
But with Smith (in my opinion) it's a new fresh start for Doctor Who as in show terms, it's time to leave certain things behind and try and stay fresh not thinking or dragging what happened before around like a dead animal.

Of course not. I think some people found him a bit serious and dark, which I can understand but considering the doctor had just come out of the time war it made a lot of sense for him to be like that.
At least we all avoided the ovbious joke about Ecckle-Becckle's performance as The Doctor.

Watching it now with two kids I'm baby sitting. They weren't impressed with the pterodactyl scene because " it hasn't been proven that dinosaurs would eat people"
