Seems so. And there's a focus on flickering lights too.

Where did the lights flicker in Asylum of the Daleks?
I'm actually really excited now...
Oh goddddd
Where did the lights flicker in Asylum of the Daleks?
At the start with Amy, but I think it was "explained" that it was just the Dalek/Human revealing itself.

Completely distracted by my avatar in the background.

You could argue the light going out in Episode 2 was a faulty bulb. Or Episode 3 was the spaceship having a crappy connection. But none of them are ever directly explained.
Six minutes away from the first review of The Power of Three.

Exactly! What I meant was that I think everyone just assumed it was connected to the Dalek/Human.
I think I prefer this kind of "build-up" to the final story (if it is all connected). Instead of like Series 5 where the camera would zoom in on the crack.
Kind of like Bad Wolf in series 1.
I would laugh if it was a red herring where the fifth episode has the brightest titles of all.

Also, Moffat on The Angels... quite good timing considering the above discussion.
Head writer and showrunner Moffat explained that he had devised the characters' exit while in New York, which influenced the episode's setting.
"There was something about [returning monsters] the Weeping Angels and New York that just seemed to make sense to me," he revealed. "And I thought of the story for this episode while in New York.
"It's always good to find a new form for [the Angels] and we've got little cherubs this time. I had loads of ideas for the Weeping Angels on both the previous stories that I never got anywhere close to using, so it was good to find the opportunity."
I think it's probably the setting, but this next episode kinda looks like it would've suited a Sarah Jane Adventures episode. Maybe it's a recycled idea or something? I wouldn't be surprised if that review is anything to go by, [sp]considering it's more about the characters than the invasion, so it would probably make more sense to use a ready-made idea than to come up with a new one.[/sp]
Still look forward to it though :v:

I specially liked home based modern day episodes.
The Lodger and Closing Time are my favourites for that reason. Smith is always brilliantly hilarious in them. The inclusion of Brian and some UNIT action is a massive bonus.

Sarah Jane Adventures? When were their drama in SJA? It was funny stuff and action. Dinosaurs was more like a SJA episode. This looks more like a classic RTD episode. Which is fine.

Wish it was Amy complaining about the soldiers as she's in her pants. Some fan service before she leaves would've been nice.

I worded that wrong, I didn't mean the drama side of it, I meant the idea of a very slow invasion of Earth with a bunch of cubes seemed like the sort of thing you'd get in a SJA episode :v:

Also, I'm headed up to Uni tomorrow, so I probably won't be posting in here as much, if at all, depending on what the internet's like up there :(
I thought universities had sanic-tier internet connections
I loved all the cliches in A Town Called Mercy. The Three Amigos one closer to the end was the best, in my opinion.

The toothpick, holding onto the belt, the stand-offs.
It was lovely.

The lynch mob scene, that was like every other episode of Gunsmoke, practically.
Back to the whole "title sequence" stuff, I'd absolutely love it if the sequence was pretty much normal for the first half, but then just cuts out as it enters the orangey/red part.
Similar to how the end of The Pandorica Opens was just this music building up, and then it just cuts out. That still gives me goosebumps.
i love it when the doctor gets angry
Look for the filaments not cracks :v:

DALEK IS THE GREATEST EPISODE EVER
Seems like they're getting kinda lazy with their special effects.
For an example, the latest episode.
When the ship explodes in the closeup shot the explosion is big a fire-y and it rises somewhat slowly
[img_thumb]http://puu.sh/15AA7[/img_thumb]
Now, when it goes back to the town the explosion is just a small puff of smoke and seems like its right behind the building.
[img_thumb]http://puu.sh/15ABk[/img_thumb]
no clue why this bugs me
but other than that great episode
