Holy shit watch them in order. You don't sit down with a history book on Nazi Germany an read the last few pages then skip the middle and read back and then read the last quarter.
50 years old but everything you NEED to know is in the first series and reinforced later on. I explain what you ask and you just disregard me as wrong for no other reason than the fact you believe I must be wrong.
FACT: The Doctor can't control The TARDIS because it's intended for 8 people, it's an early prototype model that he stole from a museum, he stole it and never learned how to use it, for ages he couldn't fulfil the simple objective of going home. It's all luck if he lands when he wants to. The TARDIS TOLD the Doctor last series after he accused her of being unreliable "I take you where you need to go". He has no control it chooses where and when it wants to go. His first episode as the Eleventh Doctor he messes up TWICE. He meets Amy as a child and pops off for "five minutes" only to return 10 years later, and then he does it again. Then he does it several times this series. He can't control it.
My analogy was fine. Next time you got a question go to the wiki and read up because you deny our intelligence anyway. The episodes are equalized fine, It's the BBC not my mate Phil down the road with his dodgy phone camera and windows movie maker. Turn it up or watch on a different TV.

Was maybe the first Doctor Who I ever saw. Very fun and silly and camp like the classic series yet sets in place the template of the current series (sort of action and romance and fairy fantasy feel).
8 in the movie feels like a combo of all those before him.
He feels a lot like maybe 5.
