Sounds like a useful strategy in the current economic climate.
looks like the next doctor who game will be a side scrolling platformer.
Well, it'd be different from the third-person adventurings we experienced in the previous adventures (The Gunpowder Plot seemed kinda buggy in the final stage, i'll say this now; I fell through the world a couple of times, even if it did warp me back inside Parliament). We'd need to see more of the actual gameplay mechanics in The Eternity Clock before we make our full judgements, though.
Also i'm sure we knew that it'd be a sidescroller from a trailer some time back, before the UT3 Multi-Platform trailer came out. Speaking about UT3, I was unaware that the next Adventure Game would be made in Unreal 3. It'd probably look much better now, especially after the sub-par work I saw in Gunpowder Plot, even if they implemented "weapons" like the Sound Blaster and Slingshot.
Ben Browder has been annoucned to guest star this season.
[QUOTE=Ithon;34569066]so what aliens has moffat created or linked to? angels, silence, vashta nerada, the empty child, what else?
angels = fear of what you do not see
silence = fear of what do you see
vashta nerada = fear the shadows
empty child = fear of being touched
just curious if there's a pattern which could give a clue to what's ahead. Maybe a silent angel, or a silent vashta nerda angel that turns you into one and sends you back in time, "be careful of dust bunnies"[/QUOTE]
FEAR OF WHAT YOU SMELL
SHIT IM A GENIUS.
SMELL NOTHING and you're dead!
Also there's some Sylverter Mccoy reprizing his role as the 7th doctor for some un finished work.

[QUOTE=ironman17;35022739]Kinda sounds silly when it's put that way, but it's probably not just anyone; maybe if it's a certain person who finds out, most likely Amy since she's got that weird memory of hers from growing up with a Crack in her wall.
Also the universe wouldn't [U]instantly[/U] disappear; even a dream persists for some time after awakening, and sometimes you remember fragments of what happened. It'd be kinda like what happened when the TARDIS exploded at the end of The Pandorica Opens; the Something was probably disturbed from it's sleep and had to take a piss, and once the Doctor rebooted the universe It fell unconcious on the bathroom floor and is now in the hospital. (not the best analogy but whatever)
But it's just wild mad guessing anyways; very likely not going to happen. But if the Question is so dangerous that the Silence thinks the Doctor would be better off dead than answering it, you know it's gotta have some pretty serious repercussions. I mean, it's probably gonna top the succession of apocalyptic events that tend to comprise nearly every season finale in modern Who.
And on that subject, do you think they're overdoing it in that regard? I mean, eventually they're gonna run out of apocalyptic event cards to draw, and I thought that all of Time happening at once, and dying in the process, was pretty much as high as one could go. I mean, what's next; every parallel universe being condensed into one massive continuum clusterfuck? Probably not that, but it's likely gonna be apocalyptic.[/QUOTE]
Visual pun ahoy

[sub][sub][sub][sub]because you waffle on a LOT[/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]
What do waffles have to do with the universe falling unconcious on the bathroom floor?
Also, what if the next "weird monster" is in fact not a monster, but some sort of writing, a sort of self-aware piece of knowledge that spreads by being known, gradually replicating within the brain and overwriting all our memories and "system data", until the secrets are all that remain? Has a sort of SCP vibe to it, doesn't it; the kind you'd need to use Class A Amnesiacs to defeat.
You didn't get the joke, Read the small print.
Oh right, that old chestnut. I'll admit, it keeps happening; it's how I do most of the time.
So it's general consensus that Deep Thought doesn't hold the Gallifreyan language so instead translated the Doctor's name phonetically?

guys.
stop thinking so hard, chill out and just be cool.
your over thinking this.
maybe there's not going to be a HUGE ass finale for the 11th doctor.
maybe he just gets shot.
I hope he trips over his Fez and breaks his neck.
I hope he shits his organs out
BAD WOLF was written in chalk all over campus today... should I be worried?
If the campus doesn't confess who wrote will people be enacting 'silence'. *rim-shot*
Just started watching the series, halfway through the first episode. It's pretty good so far :D

Just wait until "Blink" in S3
[editline]14th March 2012[/editline]
you will shit a breezeblock
Blink is the episode that got me into Dr. Who.
I mean, when someone explains time as "wibbly wobbly timey-wimey stuff", it's either awful or genius.
The only downside is that now I'm rather afraid of the eagle statue I have sitting on my desk.

Good thing it sits right in front of me.

Doesn't look like stone (or an angel) to me, I think you are safe.
You never know...
I'm so scared of Weeping Angles that my Bronze Eagle terrifies me.
Weeping Angles? Sounds like some variety of a geometry-based eldritch abomination, a street-corner that bleeds horrors into Arkham.
Either that or it's a euphemism for a bleeding knee or elbow.
are you my mommy?
god damn this is creepy

...Looks more like a typo to me :v:
Well that's just, like, your perspective, man.
Friend got a pic of the TARDIS next door to our uni :v:
