She did the right thing as long as she reported it to the police later. It wasn't safe to get out of the car, she probably would've been beaten. The police will understand, especially with video evidence.

It looks like the driver had a green or at least yellow light when he hit that person. I'd get the fuck out of there too if there was a mob trying to get my head. There's always time to call the police after you avoid being torn apart by drunken idiots.

I like how the first thing her friends do (the ones walking in front of her) immediately go to the driver instead of checking on if the girl is ok. Violence > safety.

Kinda shit, because it can lead to people intentionally jumping in front of you for insurance money, or a reason to sue. of course, this is all IIRC.
