How's this?
This is by no means a finished product, it just gives you a general idea of my spriting ability in cartoony style and what I gathered from your description, I could also make it larger or smaller, if needed, and change the style a bit if this isn't what you're looking for.
thats good except it would be nice at a larger size. i like the cartoon style too. but is it possible to look more 16-bit ish? i dunno but like stuff from the SNES (AKA more detailed)
EDIT: keep that though, because i'm not sure exactly what size we're using yet.

I like. Could be bigger though.

I drew what I personally think he might or should look like. Very sketchy/messy. I'm not very proud of it but oh well.

Alright, I made him bigger, but I couldn't really add more detail, since his outfit is so simple.
That's really good. Are you capable of animating?
That looks pretty cool, Spud.
Need any tiles or anything done? Or some type of robots, as I'm not very good with humans.

we'll need floor tiles and backgrounds (if you can do bg's in ms paint well)
the tiles should be some partially futuristic (like metallic) and probably some organic stuff as well (like dirt or something)
same with the bg's. like the indoors of buildings and maybe outdoors like random planetscenes.
dunno if we're gonna need robots though, i'll get back to you on that. but we definitely need tiles.
That's really good. Are you capable of animating?
Yeah, it might not be the single most professional animating you've ever seen, but I have decent skill.
If you've done games like this before...
Could we see an example maybe?
I might try making some wall/floor tiles later on.

Also, as the guy above me says, have you made apps/games before, or are we about to waste our time?
I didn't realize I was trying to recruit people to pay for spriting. We just asked for some simple sprites, you guys already sprite obviously, it's not like you would be wasting your time. If you don't want to make some tiles which wouldn't take more than 10 minutes, then don't, but don't expect me to supply games that i've made because they really aren't relevant and still NEED sprites, there is just placeholder graphics made by me. And the applications I make wouldn't interest you.
Kk, sure.
We're making 64 x 64 tiles here, am i right?
Kk, sure.

yeah.
I didn't realize I was trying to recruit people to pay for spriting.
Nobody said anything about getting payed or paying for sprites at all.
Anyways, I'll help with some of the spriting, do you have a Steam account?
It just feels like it, because we're getting the third degree.
Yes I do, what's yours?
Is this anything like what you guys are looking for?
Constructive criticism please, if i'm doing it wrong, tell me how you'd like it to look.

yeah you're doing fine, it's seamless so gj. would be easier if i could get the steam/msn of you guys, instead of checking this topic
From now on, just request what kind of material you guys want, and I'll attempt to make it.
It will always be seamless.

You are absolutely wrong.
I am very interested in seeing those examples to know you actually can code properly.
I do sprite sometimes on my own, but it's just that, I choose what they look like, what size etc. There are no guidelines or standards.
I can help a lil with level design, and maybe spriting. And scripting, and music.
I can help with coding if it well documented and isnt a cluster-fuck.
Steam id: Same as my Facepunch nick.

Properly? Are you a programmer also?
I have not done any C++ coding, but I have done python for BF2-BF2142.
It's irrelevant really. I would like to see some examples of your work, however WIP you claim they are.
