I Currently have a Schecter Omen 6 Diamond series guitar. It sounds good, but I'd like to slap some new pickups into it.

that is a fucking sexy guitar
Anyone know a good way to train my pinky to stop flailing around. I'm trying to keep it down towards the fretboard like the other fingers, but it wants to point upwards. I can help it if I am playing slow, but it's a lot harder with faster passages. Any articles, exercises, or whatever would be nice.

shame they have fixed bridges though
I have an epiphone les paul 100, a gibson les paul SG, a squire strat, and some old ibanez guitar that I asked my brother to string. He strung it backwards. :\ Also, some old paramount acoustic guitar from the 60s or something.
My amp sucks pretty hard. I told my parents that I wanted some marshall amp for christmas. They bought me a POS digital amp saying it was cheaper and the store clerk at walmart said that it was better. Goddamn parents.

i hope you learnt your lesson now. never ask parents for technical related items or you end up with shit you don't want. save up some cash and buy the stuff yourself in future.

There's no way that's even remotely playable.

playing at a block party or something.
In a phenomenal case of bad luck, my guitar is broken.

I'd actually like that situation. You have good motivation to learn the songs. My biggest issue with learning songs is that I don't have much motivation.

and the tiny issue of the broken guitar... I've actually got a lot of work done prior :v:
[editline]01:48AM[/editline]
I Am The Law I'm already done with I just need to get the order done...
Holy Wars is gonna be a massive pain in the ass.
Divinations... well I'm gonna hate tuning to D mid set.
and the finger picking part on Hallowed Be Thy Name is really fast... then again I've been playing it for maybe 30 minutes.

It might take a little getting used to but it looks pretty playable. Neck doesn't look very wide for an 8 either. Pretty nice looking guitar too.

But seriously, do we really need that many strings?
You will if you want to play Meshuggah.
i got a question about frets. are they meant to be grinded down a bit on where the strings touch them?

Wow, that's one sweet lookin' guitar, too many strings for my extremely inexperienced abilities though.

Frets are supposed to be smooth, otherwise, how do you think guitarists would bend the strings?

Uhh... damn
Aren't the strings like hitting each other when they vibrate though?

I think they're supposed to, I don't know much about guitars or basses but:
12 strings in 6 courses, which produces a richer, more ringing tone than a standard six-string guitar. Essentially, it is a type of guitar with a natural chorus effect due to the subtle differences in the frequencies produced by each of the two strings on each course.
the top layer of metal has come off the frets and you can see lines going across now. thing is i've only had this guitar for about a month now.

Uhh... now that's strange. What brand guitar is it?
Did you restring it and accidentally put razor wire on it, instead of guitar strings?

its a dean.
Les Paul was an amazing man. This is a sad day for music.
les was awesome. rip :crying:

"If you only have two fingers [to work with], you have to think, how will you play that chord?" he told CNN.com in a 2002 phone interview. "So you think of how to replace that chord with several notes, and it gives the illusion of sounding like a chord."
Fuckin hardcore.
