I fucking love PRS now.
You rich bastard! I love PRS guitars for an odd reason. The headstock. Doesn't look so clunky as the Gibson one.
And guys, I got a problem playing high gain stuff. I always tend to barely rub some other string and it creates a very bad sound. How should I mute other strings, with my picking hand or fretting hand?
Is that a CE Custom 24?
No, It's an SE Custom 22

It's a lower level PRS, still an amazing guitar, but it only cost me $1300 AU.
Definitely with your picking hand, doing it with your fretting hand severely hinders your manoeuvrability.

I prefer muting the strings with my fretting hand. That way I can just smack away with the picking hand.

Palm muting better, you get a far chunkier sound, and mutin with your left hand can cause harmonics.

Anyone Got any tips for barre chords?
The intro to cemetary gates is fucking killing me.

Even if your friend steals it it is still wrong. :cop:
Watch it buddy, he moderates this section. :ninja:

The best way to play that five-string bar chord is to set down your index finger first, in a position that would result in you being able to pluck the strings and you wouldn't have any dull notes. THEN once you have that position down, you add the other fingers. Just get that muscle memory in your head and it instantly gets a fuckton easier.
I'm wanting to buy a ukulele for this bluegrass festival I'm going to in Ohio (of course I'll still use it after that). My budget is pretty small, but this is the what I'm looking at:

Any suggestions?
Lanikai LU-21 Soprano Ukulele (w/ Binding)
I would personally go for the second one... ^
It looks nicer, probably has a nicer sound... But i don't really know much about the ukulele itself...
Just buy one; they are all pretty similar.

What do I fix to make this correct, for anyone that wants to know what it is, you'll know it the second you play it.

I played it..
I have no idea what it is.
Currently i am obsessed with playing the second solo of Comfortaby Numb with a huge amount of Reverb..

Wouldn't it just be so much easier if you just told us?
looks to me like the intro to all along the watchtower.

Well Nick i am so tempted to say the solo to Living After Midnight but i think i'm wrong
actually it's a botched attempt at the beginning solo to All Along The Watchtower... I've definitely got the timing wrong.
I really want a precision bass, anyone here got any experience with squier?

Its fucking beautiful
As usual, here are my guitars as of now, I wish I could use a camera that's not shit.

My next guitar (when I have my own tools after my first paycheck) will be:
- Strat-style custom design
- Neck through, semi hollow sides
- Maple neck and body top, with mahogany sides/bottom, and an ebony fretboard.
- Floyd Rose tremolo
- Langcaster low-impedance pickups.
All of that crap should cost me $500 - $600 to make.
They're all nice and all, but making your own design would make your guitars less generic.
hypno-toad you should attempt to make a sharper design. Even if you don't like it so much it would be a good experiment, maybe something like this:

Though as you said it would cost $500 - $600 to make another guitar, so obviously you would make a shape that you're happy with.
make one that looks like a stegosaurus

Yeah, do an Explorer or V shaped guitar.
Darn I want a new guitar. Even though I pretty much got the guitar of my dreams like a month ago. I need to get rich.
Yeah, do an Explorer or V shaped guitar.
Seconded, I'd like to see a custom-built Explorer.
There's really no such thing as "your own design" unless you want to build your own metal and plastic parts.
Custom designs will always be something-style, because you need to use brand name/licensed hardware. The most you can really do without either screwing up the looks/ sounds is making modifications to pre-existing body design; which is what I intend to do.
Also, I don't like those axe guitars.
Shitty photoshop job aside, this is the concept of what I want to do. The differences are, I'd leave my finish semi natural with an orange and yellow sunburst finish.

The routing job would be mainly what would be more distinguishable about it, as the top side of the horns would be flat, and the sides of the body rounded, giving the horns a "sharp" look.
that isn't a stegosaurus
that isn't a stegosaurus
I'd be afraid if I did that it would become an amputation hazard.

That actually looks like the guitar I'll be building when school starts, except mine will have a different headstock, 24 frets, and it will be ebony black.
Design theft :p
It's not really that orgional, but there's not many guitars like that. But mine is gonna have pickups like this =D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdWjut-WilI
Nice choice, I haven't really decided what pickups I'll put in mine, but it'll most likely be humbuckers.
