In a string of what can only be described as bad luck I've hit a snag... I had accidentally undid the intonation on my guitar, so I had to redo that in about 10 minutes, in my haste I left one of the strings pretty poorly intonated... something I will have to personally fix at a later date... I thought to myself the worst was over... unfortunately not so.. as I was tuning the High E string the I must have not been paying attention or... something but I didn't get past A when that tell tale sign something was about to break occurred... I should have heeded the warning and let it sit so I went to tune it higher, I got to Bb when it flew off the peg, it didn't break but it fell off the peg, thinking it was nothing I went to retune it, but now it won't get past maybe Bb-B without falling back to Bb, this isn't Machine Head Bb this is like an octave down when you just put the string on. So now I've got to figure out how to do my solos without an E string... FUCK
Dude either me, Rob, or Dan can fix that for you. You cant do a Maiden solo without a high E
Anyone that uses Elixir strings, can you tell me if the treble strings go black very quick? With Ernie Ball super slinkies they always go black after less than a week and it sucks.
Umm, wash your hands before playing and wipe the strings after use?
I'm not saying this is an amazing guitar, it's my guitar, and i fancy posting it. :) Heres the link http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_hbstset_2_black.htm I bought it about 9 months ago when i started playing, back then it was about £59, pretty good quality for the price i must say.
i don't care as long as they listen to other stuff by the artist and not just that one song "hey do you like metallica" "yeah their song One is awesome" "yeah but it's not as good as master of puppets" "what's that"
Master of Puppets sucks.
Master of Puppets sucks.
i hope you realise how dumb you sound
Master of Puppets sucks.
um, what are you doing
Umm, wash your hands before playing and wipe the strings after use?
I don't like to wash my hands before playing because it softens the skin and makes it tear easier. My finger tips peel quite easily already. But I also have naturally oily hands which is why I'm interested in Elixirs.
Dude either me, Rob, or Dan can fix that for you. You cant do a Maiden solo without a high E
I'm just buying a new pack, cost efficient? no. Besides, I'm having someone other than me fix it.
I hope you're not referring to any of my posts with this
I guess I am.
I got a "new" amplifier:biggrin: My brother gave it to me for free, since he doesn't use it anymore. An old, first generation Marshall valvestate 8080. It's really good, only flaws that the contour knob is loose and the reverb doesn't work. Otherwise it's perfect to me as a first amp. It looks like this (not my picture) [img_thumb]http://image18.webshots.com/19/7/13/37/207471337XasMkd_ph.jpg[/img_thumb] Tomorrow I'll try to get a group shot with my guitar:smile:
In reference to http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=17143177&postcount=917 so many things going so horribly wrong in tandem you can only imagine it's the worst thing ever... that being said, We were still the best ones there.
These all look really nice Could anyone suggest a nice acoustic?
These all look really nice Could anyone suggest a nice acoustic?
Well.. what are you looking for? Price range? Nylon- or steel stringed?
These all look really nice Could anyone suggest a nice acoustic?
Well Martin makes some really nice acoustics. In fact they make some of the only acoustics I actually LIKED the feel of. But they're extremely expensive.
I'm borrowing a Classical guitar from my friend. What do you guys think sounds good on a classical guitar. I'm learning A Farewell to Kings - Rush Something For Nothing - Rush Asturias - Isaac Albeniz
I'm thinking of getting these for christmas: http://www.thomann.de/gb/emg_zakk_wylde_pro.htm Just a few questions though. 1. Are EMG's easy to wire? 2. My guitar only has 3 pots, what do I do with the other one in the set? 3. Would I need to strip all of the current electricals out of my guitar to put in this set?
Help me.
These all look really nice Could anyone suggest a nice acoustic?
Fender makes some nice acoustics.

Just bought myself a 1975 Japanese Cimar Double Cut Les Paul, fitted with Gibson Burstbuckers, Gotoh machine heads and solid mahogany apart from the Rosewood fretboard. Cimar was a contracted company under Ibanez, before any law suits and shit happened. They were commissioned to make some low end stuff for Ibanez and then also some high end guitars too later on. So it's got a bit of heritage to it, but is also upgraded to sound awesome. This is it: Came to about £200 with delivery, think that's a pretty good deal.
im learning ...and justice for all

This isn't exactly it, but it's pretty much the same but it has silver nuts, and it says Reconnaissance on the headstock. Also mine has a black pick guard. Sounds great, and was cheap.. I tried looking for the exact one but they aren't a big company. My other one is a vintage C-170A Classical Guitar possibly from the 70's or 80's. I'll take some actual pictures some other time.
Well, hello again everyone. I've changed my mind again.
Im thinking of buying an Epiphone SG. What do ye think of that guitar?
I have one and I absolutely love it.. Better than the Les Paul imo.
Fender makes some nice acoustics.
Speaking of which anyone got any idea how much a fender newporter mahogany body and neck acoustic is worth? It's vintage and from the 60's i believe if that helps.
