I have one and I absolutely love it.. Better than the Les Paul imo.
I think the sound is almost indistinguishable from the LP, and it's lighter and easier to play thanks to the cutaways, and generally being a lighter guitar.
One thing though, the shape sucks for me. Which was thankfully fixed by Samick and their Torino guitars.
Well, hello again everyone. I've changed my mind again.
BEHOLD:

EMG 81 right there in the bridge position (it's atually a EMG 81TW so you get to use it as a single coil as well or something) It costs about the same as the other guitars I was thinking about, and it looks like pure sex.
You're making a great purchase. I love my Schecter because it plays godly. The looks are a plus too.

I own these and a fender acoustic.
I'm fixing a 50's tube amp! Replacing the tubes, rewiring, it's gonna be a chore but it's going to sound incredible.
I reeeeeelly want this. So I'm saving up. Thank god Ibanez finally made a fixed bridge RG with EMGs.
Also to the explorer discussion, I like the shape and all but they're not the greatest guitars to play (not the gibson explorer anyway) I'd want a James Hetfield style one, which is just a ESP explorer, exactly the same shape as the Gibson, in white, with EMGs. Also he wrote "EET FUK" on it, I'm not too sure what that means.
This guitar. THIS GUITAR, I am saving for, can't find it ANYWHERE in Iceland though :(
I'm still not sure whether to get that Ibanez or the Schecter. Obviously the Schecter is a million times better looking, but as far as I'm concerned, Ibanez are pretty much unrivaled in terms of playability, I still find my first guitar, my £200 Ibanez, is easier to play than my £1000 Jackson, though I think that may be down to the strings, I think my Ibanez's strings are a lighter gauge, plus my fingers slide on them a lot better, on my jackson the strings are really frictioney, I can't slide up and down very well.
Logically, the ibanez is probably better, plus it's about £50 cheaper than the schecter, but I want to get the schecter because honestly, I find that a guitar's looks do matter a lot. A guitar that looks nice will keep me interested and therefore keep me playing, plus I want to branch out and try other guitar brands, I need to try them all before I can decide which is best.
However I am very excited about buying a guitar since I will be recieving a large amount of money quite soon :)

....
no.
....
no.
Well... Who would you say has the best playability? Ibanez have the best playability out of all the guitars I've ever played.
And I'm talking Metal guitars here, so don't say Rickenbacker or anything like that.
Hey guys, I have a seriously DUMB question.
Tomorrow I will restring my RG350.
It has an Edge3= Pseudo Floyd Rose.
3 Months ago, my guitar was sent for a setup, and the guy left the guitar perfectly intonated.
Now I will restring the guitar.
after that, Do I need to "Re-Intonate" the guitar???
Thanks in advance for the replies

no you won't

but on the edge 3 you have to keep track of the bridge angle because edge 3's aren't meant to be perfectly flat

Well, Ibanez is a well known name when it comes to guitars and for a good reason. You can't really go wrong with that RG. However, you also can't go wrong with the Hellraiser. It played much better than any other guitar in that price range when I bought it. This is however my opinion. Since both guitars offer similar features, one thing you should look at is the neck in terms of playability. Ibanez guitars often have really thin Wizard necks that people often relate to being a "fast" neck. The Hellraiser however has a little bit thicker neck which I like because I grew up on it. Since this is all preference, I say you go down to a local guitar shop and see if they have those two models or similar models in stock and try them out.

Ibanez guitars are "good" at best.
I like Ibanez acoustics
Ibanez guitars are "good" at best.
...in your opinion.
Two bass guitars and an acoustic
VOX Standard, from 1987, All that's changed I believe, is the strings and had the pick-ups replaced.
Excellent sound for rock, Doesn't sound as good for jazz or blues unfortunately. :(
Oh, and it has a kill-switch! :krad2:

And my beginners bass (with my acoustic guitar, also a biginners guitar), This bass actually sounds really good for jazz and blues even though I bought it for £60, second hand. :v:

It's broke though, the tone/volume dials need to be repaired, don't ask how I broke them. :downs:

Sounds pretty doom-like with a good bit of distortion and a bit faster (with duel harmonizing fuck yrr)
[editline]03:43AM[/editline]
This is the original. It'd be cool to do the rhythm guitar too

The weight thing is probably why I enjoy playing it on stage more than my Les Paul.

What's the guitar Alex plays here?
I'm pretty sure it's a PRS but I have no idea what model
...in your opinion.
Your point? :ironicat:
the point is ibanez guitars own...
the point is ibanez guitars own...
lol k.
lol k.
There are few brandsthat can match thier playability in my opinion, and none in thier price range, and they make the 8 string that dude from meshuggah uses so thats enough for me to say they are pretty good.
Your point? :ironicat:
My point being that many people, myself included, find Ibanez guitars in particular to play very nicely. First time I wrapped my fingers around a prestige RG I was in love.
Done some talking and i might buy a Gibson SG faded something. is it good?

I bought this V copy today. It doesn't play all that well and time has certainly had its way with it. But anyway, I have no idea what this is, nor did the guys at the music store. They said they've had it in their basement for almost 10 years.
Here is the headstock. The logo is a guitar siluette on top what looks to be an "A" with serifs. Has anybody gotten a clue what brand this is?

Hot DAMN that's an ugly guitar
