Okay people, finally unbanned, and i think i have a new amp idea.
A used 100watt marshall valvestate stack from ebay.
Yes i know, ebay amps, shaky shit, but even if it sucks ass i can tinker with it and start learning about amp construstion.
Worth it?
Hooray! I bought my new SL2HT! I haven't sold the SL2H yet sadly :frown: but I'll keep on trying to sell it, I'll probably try again nearer christmas when people are more looking to buy stuff.
Hopefully the SL2HT will be here within the week.
Pic of the new one?
and where do you reside? if it's local i might take you up on it.

I'm remembering the 8080 is the only decent from the Valvestate range and I'd still consider it carefully. What's the price?

I live in west London. But I am willing to ship the guitar to wherever if you pay for shipping, or we can work out some sort of deal.
Also new one:

That's it there, and for the price, honestly I'd happily pay a bit more to get the connections fixed.
This is mine (i know, i know, its nothing fancy. But I havent been playing for very long and i think its a great starter guitar.) Im hoping to get a warlock or flying V...eventually.

If the price doesn't go to immense heights it might be a decent deal. You can probably fix the connections with some oiling or whatever liquid they use.
Currently on a Jackson Kelly and I love it :D
Obviously my dream guitar would be a gibson gothic explorer but that has to wait until cash flow allows :s

Do not under any cicumstances by a guitar on looks alone, and do not buy a low end bc rich.
I sure as fuck wouldn't entertain one, maybe a custom shop archtop supreme, but not a low end.
oh and i think that deal might escape me, if i don't get the money im supposed to get soon, got to get books for uni and shit, and then spend the rest on whatever, and i'm trying to learn the acoustic intro to "To live is to die"
I suck ass at barre's
Right, I'm after a new guitar. I'm not entirely sure what to get, and I hope you lot can help me out. I'm going to be playing mostly indie/hard rock on it, and I'd like it to have a thin-ish neck as I find them more comfortable. The Telecaster is my favorite body design, but I place the guitar's tone and playability over looks. I'd deeply appreciate it if someone could help me out.
I desperately want a JEM:

Being lefthanded only makes this already very expensive guitar even more expensive. :saddowns:

Jesus man...
The JEM's are beautiful and awesome but I'm not about to spend $2,500+ for a guitar if I can't even spend that on a car...
I want a JEM as much as I want Satch's signature Ibanez, but I can't logically afford them any time soon, so I don't let it get to me.
I'd really like to have a 24-fret SG or an ESP Eclipse though (even if it's just a higher end LTD).

Fender guitars are great for indie, and if you want to play hard rock as well, look into HSS stratocasters, and the 72' custom telecaster(maybe even a HH tele, but you'd need to spilt one 'bucker)
If you're on a budget, you should buy a Squier classic vibe or vintage modified series, if you pick out a good one, they're better than some MIM Fenders.
err... Anyone wanna buy my guitar yet?
I can't sell the damn thing :bang:

I have to say, the 72 tele did spring to mind. If I remember rightly, the guitarist from Franz Ferdinand uses one. I should be off to Denmark Street on thursday, so I'll have a wonderful day of trying out guitars. =D

I would go with the Telecaster.
Yeah a proper Fender Tele will sound good.
The list:
Main Player - Ibanez S7320 - http://www.drumcityguitarland.com/drumcitygl/stores/1/images/products/Ibanez%20S-7320BK%20%20Saber%20Model%20%207-String%20Guitar.jpg
Main Acoustic - Breedlove Passport D20 FS - http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/graphics/articles/reports/2007/id_512865_200x450.jpg
Other Electrics - RG550EX (Practically useless since the neck shifts. Everything else is fine but it needs a new body or the neck pocket redoing to be really playable) http://www.ibanezregister.com/images/images-rg/550ex/rg550ex-2002uk.jpg
Viper 400 - http://www.poweralley.com/ESP/Viper-400_STBC.jpg
Ibanez S2170FW - http://www.guitarvillage.co.uk/admin/pages/upload/Solids/Ibanez/ibanez-s2170fw-nat_m.jpg
12 String Acoustic - Crafter D8/12N http://www.themusicroom-online.co.uk/images/D8_12.jpg
Other instruments in the house - No brand acoustic guitar, pile of crap. Cheap violin, another crafter acoustic, a 6 string, cheap acoustic bass, harmonica in every key, jews harp, old electric keyboard, two ukeleles, and a wierd kalimba thing none of us know the correct name for.
I would go with the Telecaster.
This.
Should I buy an Epi SG-310 for a first electric?
I like the price and value of the pickups, shape and quality
I'll probably buy this in the next six months
Amp suggestions too would be awesome
Telecaster seems to be a firm fave then. I'm heading down Denmark Street tomorrow? Anything I should look out for?
...A tele
Maybe one of the old dan electro will the lipstick tube pickups v:downs:v
Who rated me bad spelling eh?
WHO'S GOT THE BIG SACK!?!?!!
...A tele

Yes, I'm pretty sure there's more than one type of telecaster. And I might get DC59 Danelectro if I see one.
Dude there are teleSHAPES not multiple teles, from differeent makers, or maybe there are and i just never paid attention cause fenders make me rage.

I meant Fender ones. But I mean variations on pickups and the like.

Epi SG's are great guitars, got a G-400 myself.
I started with a Squier Strat though.
Someone recommend me a song to learn (has to be in E standard tuning!)
