Wow, nice guitar! How does she play?
Thanks! It plays really nicely, but being my first Floyd equipped guitar, and because it was shipped in pieces, I haven't got it set up perfectly yet. There's still a bit of fret buzz I'd like to get rid of. Makes my Squier feel like a toy, not to mention I'm already used to the wider 7 string neck :v:
Nice man, what pickups have you got in it?
Hopefully my guitar should come within the week. I kept sending emails to the guy asking when he would send it and he wasn't replying so I just sent more emails but then yesterday he emailed me saying he was delayed because his mother in law died. I feel really bad for harrassing him with emails :(
Well did you respond with an apology? Makes you look better if it's sincere. Also, what's actually happening with your old guitar anyway?
Man, that thing's beautiful, Guru.
Nice man, what pickups have you got in it?
I believe it has a Dimarzio New7 in the neck and an Evolution 7 in the bridge, as I've been told that the New7's don't have chrome poles.
Man, that thing's beautiful, Guru.
Thanks! I believe I was quite lucky to find this model in such good condition.
I believe it has a Dimarzio New7 in the bridge and an Evolution 7 in the bridge,
2 bridge pickups? what about the neck one?:v:
Well did you respond with an apology? Makes you look better if it's sincere. Also, what's actually happening with your old guitar anyway?
I'm still trying to sell my old guitar, hopefully there should be more interest closer to christmas.
2 bridge pickups? what about the neck one?:v:
Oh, haha that was a typo. The New7 is in the neck position.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2973442 My take at the epic solo Just don't beat me up too hard for ruining it :ohdear: It was a real milestone for me, that was one of the things that made me pick up the axe Oh and btw, the 21st fret is popped up that's why the high notes don't ring out properly at about 2:47
Oh guys, just in case you don't know. The Gibson Les Paul custom gold top is the most metal guitar ever. maybe it doesn't look it but listen to the damn thing
Entirely subjextive man, some misguided fools believe that bc rich warlocks are the most almighty metal guitars ever, some think teles would work.
I'd play metal with a tele.
I'd play metal with a Gretsch.
Awesome! Now we need some guy with a cajon, shekere, and chakra chimes
I had to google every single one of those. :v:
i had to google gretsch :downs: [editline]10:40PM[/editline] fuck google bing is where its at
I'd play metal with a tele.
Motherfucking Jari Maenpaa would play metal on a Telecaster. (Wintersun)
Goddamn! :v: [editline]02:16AM[/editline] Holy shit, single coils too
I just ordered one of these, can't wait for it to arrive OH GOD ITS POINTY EVERYONE RATE DUMB I bought it because it has very nice pickups, plays very well, and is pretty affordable. Just because it's sharper than some of you might like doesn't mean it's a bad guitar by any means, regardless of whether you think it looks stupid or not.
I'm planning on learning bass, and for that I'm gonna get myself one of these at Christmas: http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_squier_pbass_special_rw_ab.htm £260, about as far as my budget will take me. I don't really know anything about the technical aspects of bass, but it's a precision guitar and I'ma metalhead so it should fit the bill. Although if any bass players want to help pick me out a better guitar, preferably cheaper (and nice looking), it'd be much appreciated. And I'll need a hand with getting an Amp, because I have absolutely no clue. I think I'll just get a training amp for about £50 or so though.
Can't go wrong with with squier basses if you're on a budget. Though check out the Ibanez GSR series too. For bass amps the golden rule is : stay away from Behringer. Also this thread on UG should help you out : http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=737491
haha, I have a behringer amp :( but yea, its very mediocre though, but its okay just for practice
The biggest problem with behringer is reliability. As long as yours is in working condition you should be fine
Yeah that's why i don't wanna cheap out on a bass, I want it to last a long time. I don't wanna spend £100 ona guitar and have to pay another £200 for a decent one.
I highly recommend the Cort GB series for an entry-level priced bass. I have a Cort GB34A like this one: And this will last. I've been playing bass for 6 years and it's the only bass I own, I'll consider getting another one when I need more strings :v:
What would you guys recommend for a bass compressor pedal? I'm looking to tighten up my sound a bit. I don't see myself going much higher than $125CDN, what with my budget, and my GASing for countless other things
Bravehat!!!! TO THE RESCUE!!!! Found out what i think my next guitar is gonna be, T C Ellis Mantis, Wolf or V... or almost any other guitar the guy makes they're all so awesome and he is up for almost any possible customisation you want, the mantis II's are normally trem or hardtail, i asked if he would do a string throu and he said yeah, and you get bareknuckle pickups if you want em.
Strongly considering getting a PRS Paul Allender SE after Christmas and maybe some saving of my paycheck It looks absolutely goegeous, have to to go GC sometime soon to try guitars again :D
I just traded my 60's Peavey Falcon, for a Charvel with JAckson pickups, it has a floyd rose and everything. Man this thing has so much kick and punch and the pickups are so hot. Its Aweosme!
So guys I've been messing around with the eBGDGD guitar tuning. Has anyone else experimented with this? I'm liking being able to play A string power chords (now G) with one finger, which can also be extended down to the D string. It's a little quirky but I like it v:v:v
