Some kind of Flying V Ukelele.
wow that red one is very versitile, one single coil and a built in amp, good tone.
I want a Charvel Model 6.
I have one Jazz III I've been using for like 2 years now and it's still sharp. It also has tooth marks from a dog on it for better grip. There's no pick quite like it and I only play with that specific pick. <3
Are you serious?!
Either you must pick extremely light, or only play classic guitar. My Jazz 3's are worn down to not being sharp in a week or so of playing.

I've been using the same couple of Jazz IIIs on my electrics for the past half year or so, and I used to really attack the strings pretty hard (been working on making my technique a bit lighter though) and they're still sharp. They're equipped with 10's at standard tuning too.
I find a relatively sharp pick, of about 1mm in thickness, to be nice. Though I sort of want to force myself to use a "normal" shaped pick, since if I lose my pick or something and someone is like "here use mine!" and it's a rounded (normal) one, then I won't be able to use it.
that's what I've been doing, I'm trying to learn the main part to AC/DC's you shook me all night long and it sounds better if for G major if you have the d on the b string pressed down.
I have to then use my fourth finger for it, and I can't get it right and it always sounds fucked. When I strum it just sounds really crappy, I'm in the middle of practising now anyway but thanks for your help
Wait, do you mean you're using your fourth finger on the B string? It's significantly easier to use your third finger on the B string and your fourth on the E string.
Am I the only person that only likes to use sharp picks like this:

I find normal ones don't catch the strings and therefore don't really make a very good sound.
I use triangles
I use 1.14 or 1.5 Gator grips or tortex, reg or triangle.
I use the black 2mm version of this pick.

Do some exercises that constantly work the fourth finger. Also make sure it stays in position when you aren't using it. Takes a while to get, I've been working on training my fourth finger for over six months and I'm getting to the point where it stays in position and doesn't go off in some random direction. As far as using it for playing, you just have to practice.
Thank you, I'll keep trying

oh and also
Through a couple of different guys I know, I could get my hands a Gibson SG special for about 500 bucks ASD.
That would be my first electric, and I'm really considering buying it. I was orginally going to buy a Epiphone G-400 but this seems like a really good option.
I don't think I'm worthy to have one, as it's such a great instrument but currently I have the money to buy it
What do you guys think I should do?

Play it first. See it in person, compare it with authentic Gibsons online.
Make sure it's real if you're paying for a real Gibson.
that's a good point
the same guy sold my friend a huge line six stack amp that sounds like a dream for 300 bucks
and atm I can't play for shit lol, I could get my friend to get it lent to him then get his opinion however
Hagström (Hagstrom) yay or nay?
not played any of there guitars but they are supposed to be pretty good.
By the way can anyone give me a hand working how to play disruptr by Devin Townsend, and yes diruptr is spelled correctly
GOD FUCKIN DAMNIT THE SONG IS SPELLED DISRUPTR!!!!
Hagström (Hagstrom) yay or nay?
Yay, their guitars are really good for the price, my friend has a Hagström H2, wich is one of the cheapest hags (even though it has almost doubled in price since he bought it). And it's a really good guitar for the money. I've also played a hagström super swede, that one was also awesome, and rather cheap.
Awesome. Thanks!

I just play like once every 2 weeks. :v:
I can't be bothered to practice or anything anymore, I just play when I like, improvise over records and stuff. And yeah, I try to get my picking as light as possible like Esa Pulliainen's picking.

It's pretty cool that you can sustain skills without playing. A shame too.
How much is an amp that one could use for playing a bar/small club/something similar? I'm pretty much going for the low end of the price range, and have no preference as long as it for metal stuffs.
Well I just bought a new guitar, a new amp, a new strap and stand for the guitar, and some picks.
I went with the Vox VT15, and an Agile AL2000 Slim in the Root Beer finish.

Nice, I've heard good things about Agile. I would have considered getting one of their seven or eight string models but they don't have any warranty when shipped overseas and I don't want to risk just throwing away $1000 or so.

That's a really nice looking guitar, I love the finish. And you can't g wrong with a Vox VT.

What skills? :D
I use these. Most people react the same way when I tell them. I've had a few people say "omg you use bass picks". I didn't realise it was a bass pick. People just surprised at the thickness of it.
Who else uses these?

I didn't know that was supposed to be a bass pick.
Also I use those for electric guitar, but I use a completely different pick for acoustic and bass guitar :buddy:

I use thinner, and I'm a bassist. :p
Although I do use the same thicknesses on guitar as I do bass.
What you all think about this?
Good few mistakes only learnt it yesterday and its cold here :)

I got this rather artistic looking plectrum from my step father the other day:

You won't see these in a while i believe.
Steve vai 's special signature , made by a luthier for the album "the ultra zone"

And another one made by another luthier for Yngwie Malmsteen . Dumbass story, it was sent to florida, YJM never retrieved it , and it was stolen by someone else.

And here's my own babe.

I'm soon gonna buy a Dean razorback too, but i dunno if i should rather choose the classic two tone with licensed floyd or the slimebolt ; which looks ugly as hell imo; that carries an original floyd. The price difference is almost inexistant.
Anyone got an advice on the difference on original and licensed floyds?
