Let me fix that for ya buddy

I want this thing
Ok... I have decied to go with the les paul, just because there are no Epiphone or Gibson flying v's under 350 without a floyd rose. Since the Flying v is used and the les paul is new, its now kinda obvious with a 50 dollar difference. But tomorrow if it turns out there is a flying v under 350 without the Floyd, then i might think about getting it. I love your input though and thank you, i mignt have made a bad decision without you guys and with your help i will make the right choice. but you never know what will turn up on black friday... I really like the wood look to this one, except with a glossier finish. and this was the flying v, well except with the floyd rose bridge. I think I'm probably going to buy a roland micro cube Up at cash converters they've got a 15 watt one for $150 opposed to $200 new at my local music store
Anyone can recommend a cheap acoustic? I really don't care to spend too much on tone because it's not my main concern. Also, here is the electric of my dreams. I just like it a lot, played it at a few stores and seems cool to me. I like my Strat, but I'd like something a bit more out there.
I nearly bought one of those but the pickups didn't have quite the hi end I wanted
Coulda just swapped 'em out for new ones. If what I hear about Muhammed Suiçmez's signature Xiphos is true, I may well be very interested in one of those...
[rant]It's nothing to do with sound or comfortableness for me disliking V's. I simply think they are so dull. one of the most uninspired, sterile looking guitars ever made. You could make a nice, smooth looking design with nice wood and ergonomic part placements; One you can't help but stare at for hours on end because of the stunning colors and appealing shape. But instead, Gibson makes a V for a body. Real fucking original. Even the most beautiful paint jobs or beautifully figured wood doesn't make them look interesting, it just ends up looking unfitting and out of place. I mean, you can have a guitars like these: And then you have this... It's not that they are really bad, or they are offensive to the eye like some guitars, it's just that they are so plain. For me it's just the definition of "meh." They have no character at all. [/rant] As I said, it's not really that they are "ugly" it's just that I don't see what people see in them.
"gibson v's are so uninspired and sterile *proceeds to post the 3 more over used shapes in guitar production*"
As I said, it's not really that they are "ugly" it's just that I don't see what people see in them.
I personally dislike overly rounded shapes in most circumstances, I don't know what people see in them... It's all opinion.
"gibson v's are so uninspired and sterile *proceeds to post the 3 more over used shapes in guitar production*"
Do you even know what character means? Just because a body shape is overused doesn't mean it's bland. A V shape, painted cherry red or black is something with no character. By sterile I just mean that's it's plain. Why not make a guitar with a rectangular body if you're going to do a v? Anyways, The fact that you only looked at the body shapes of the guitars (not the wood grain/color, not the color contrasts) shows you have no taste anyways, so obviously you can't see my point. At any rate, I think painting a guitar (granted it's not poplar or plywood or something ugly) is always a waste of nice looking wood. Curvy shapes always compliment the grain of wood, and make the shape look more natural.
"gibson v's are so uninspired and sterile *proceeds to post the 3 more over used shapes in guitar production*"
Yeah but how often do you spot gorgeous spalted maple caps, on a v. And those shapes are used because they are appealing to the eye
ok so i'm in a prog band and my friend Rob(lead guitar) wants to use seven strings but over the past couple days i've been thinking about it and i really don't wanna use them that much. Could you guys give me some advantages sixes have over sevens? i don't really see any.
Flying V's are meh, etc.
Unless you find something like this:

Dunno if it's just me, but that shape doesn't appeal at all. It just looks... wrong.
Unless you find something like this:
I hate those retarded pointy guitars, Gibson Vs/Explorers with rounded points look a lot better, and less...well, retarded.
I really don't like the rounded gibson Vs, especiallty the headstock. King Vs, Rhoads, the Esp V-II, that's where the party's at.
Yeah, if im going pointy then i don't want rounded corners, i want the guitar to be so sharp i could charge into battle with it, like this

I ended up getting a les paul studio premium plus with a glossy wine red. In fact it was the last one there... Man how i love this guitar, and so does my family, thanks again. Hopefully I should be getting new pickups and a new amp for christmas. I'm thinking white EMG 81/85, and a Blackstar HT-5.
I hate those retarded pointy guitars, Gibson Vs/Explorers with rounded points look a lot better, and less...well, retarded.
I really don't like rounded edges on Vs and Explorers, I feel like it's the kids version Rounded V Rounded Explorer Sharp V (note: not Gibson) Sharp Explorer (note: not Gibson) I'm sure you've seen these all before, but I put them here so whoever is reading can see alternatives for both body styles.

I want to find some of that textured metal, would love to cut out a pickguard from that.
Hopefully I should be getting new pickups and a new amp for christmas. But the blackstar HT-5, haven't got any quarrels there :v: Looks very likely that i'm getting a marshall Valvestate 8100 100watt head and 2 x 12 cab for about 180 pounds Oh also hypno, that metals called diamond plate, and heres where you should be able to find some http://quickshipmetals.com/

It's the KxK warrior V made for karl sanders the guy in Nile
Oh also hypno, that metals called diamond plate, and heres where you should be able to find some http://quickshipmetals.com/
Do they ship to Canada?
not sure man v:v:v just found em quickly googling
bare knuckles, they sound infinitely better than EMGs
Well that's your opinion isn't it. Though I am considering bareknuckles, It's either EMGs or Bareknuckle Nailbombs. I'll probably end up getting the BKs, I don't think I could even fit a battery in my guitar.
ok so i'm in a prog band and my friend Rob(lead guitar) wants to use seven strings but over the past couple days i've been thinking about it and i really don't wanna use them that much. If you're a Dream Theater/Porcupine Tree style prog band you really don't need it.

Definetly what i'm gonna be getting when my mate builds me an 8 string :v: EDIT: sorry if the recommendation for bk's came across as a bit cuntish :v:
