I have a peerless tone-master. I just love hollow bodies. And yes i know its orange :v:

It makes the most wonderful warm sound when you play it with a bit of overdrive and you can crank it up to the limits of feedback to get a unique hard-rock AC/DC sound. (back in black as played on a white falcon)
Strings just broke on my guitar, not sure what brand or gauge to try next, anyone got any suggestions, Im thinking bout getting d'addarios

That is.. wow! :iia:
cheap as well, considering. peerless used to make guitars for gretsch who put a label on it and sold it for much more. My tonemaster cost 400 quid, whereas the equivalent gretsch costs about 2000 quid.
The equip on my guitar is not shabby either, two alcino-Vtron gretch pickups. Bigsby whammy bar (SOOOO much fun) and 2 tone and 2 volume knobs, plus a selector switch. not to mention the gorgeous construction.

I generally hate Deans, but my god that guitar is fucking sexy

Get some slinky's, But not the lightest gage, they snap in an instant. get the nest one down.

That is disgusting.

Yeah but light gauges dont exactly have a meaty sound, not to me anyway, i might get elixers again.
Also i hate hollowbodies.
Overpriced firewood.
Yeah, the orange in the picture isn't exactly pretty, but when its there in front of you it makes sense.
That is disgusting.
Get out. Hollow bodies like that are fucking sexy. And hollow bodies are actually way better than most solid bodies. Way more versatile
broke my auto merge! True about the meaty sound. But I'm a gilmour fan so i need to be able to bend.

Just use thicker strings and strengthen your fingers.
yah, but I'm a weak fool with fingers like overcooked carrots. Can still play decent though. want me to upload me just fucking around with it?

You have a beautiful guitar. Far better than most of the crazy spiky stuff I see in this thread
Awww, your too kind. My friend cant stand my guitar, he has false ideas that hollow-bodies can only be used for jazz.
yah, but I'm a weak fool with fingers like overcooked carrots. Can still play decent though. want me to upload me just fucking around with it?
Nah, i'm not a gilmour fan, and if it's on that hollowbody i might have to slice my ears off.
nice image. but i wasn't suggesting i play guilmour. I was just going to ass-around and make a fool of myself.

Baw, I learned to play on an acoustic.
so did i, a steel string as well. no idea why my fingers haven't beefed up. I try to concentrate on making every note, bend and lick just feel solid and well done instead of "set the fretboard on fire" fast. Plus, I've only been playing for two years and I'm already as decent as the friend who has been playing for 6 or more. (I'm persistent)
so did i, a steel string as well. no idea why my fingers haven't beefed up.
There is your answer, my acoustic had copper strings, and those chew up your fingers like a fucking cheese grater at first.
Tell me about it. 10% of my fingertips is callous. I could probably sew it to some cloth and i wouldn't feel it :v:
I'm getting a Line 6 POD Studio UX1 and Guitar Rig 3 (not too sure about software choice though)
Is the pod the right thing to get when it comes to playing and recording guitar on a PC?

That's one nice looking guitar!
I wasn't aware of any further grades in AMEB, next level up was like full on study (diploma etc). But thanks, and same to you! I hated classical while I learnt it, but it's the best thing I've done and I'm so glad I did. And I enjoy playing it every now and then now.
What board handles exams and such where you live? (AMEB = Australian Music Examinations Board)
We have ARCT which is Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto

I think firewood is a harsh thing to say. Alot more craftsmenship goes into making hollow bodies. and they are all made my hand. The few solid bodies that are made my hand, as in carved out and resinned are also incredibly expensive.

Go for some set of .010's then
I just bought some DR .010's, and I'm going to have my guitar reset professionally to hold them because currently .009's barely fit
Plays great for a starter guitar, thanks to having it set up.
Awww, your too kind. My friend cant stand my guitar, he has false ideas that hollow-bodies can only be used for jazz.
Well yeah, they can be used for lots of music, but they're most definitely not for any sort of metal
Classic rock, blues, jazz...but definitely not Metallica or Lamb of God or Pantera...
I like solid bodies because so long as you're aiming for the electric tone, it sounds great for almost everything.

What's with all the hate on the Iceman!? It's a fucking awesome guitar.
What's with all the hate on the Iceman!? It's a fucking awesome guitar.
Well, it's certainly not shit, but I wouldn't say it's awesome either. The huge penis coming off of it is completely unnecessary, and the body design is meh. I still like it better than most spiky guitars though.
Also this is my Ibanez ATK300 bass

It's sweet. Very diverse with an awesome 80s look.
