That's right. I am a pathetic slab of hambeast and it is my goal to lose weight. I'm tired of being slow, and general lazy. I'm 15, 5'11, and I'm pretty big. Holy shit, right? It's my goal to lose enough weight to where everything is in correct proportion to my height. I'm going to start running for 10-15 a day around the park, doing sit ups, lifting weights, using exercise bikes, everything. I started earlier, doing 30-40 sit ups and lifting three pound weights (Start of small, eh?) I'm going to refrain from anything unhealthy, drinks included, and focus on healthy alternatives, such as fruit and vegetables. I'm doing this for myself, my social life, everything. Seeing all these scrawny facepunchers makes me jealous. Why should I be the odd man out in life? I'm not going to be, after this. That is all.
Dude you're gonna need at least fifty of these. I suggest rock-type pokemon because they fucking own fire types.
Walk 30 min a day for 6 months and eat healthy and I guarantee you will lose at least 30 lbs.
Walk 30 min a day for 6 months and eat healthy and I guarantee you will lose at least 30 lbs.
why wait 6 months when you could probably lose more in 3 or less from exercising properly
Start a routine. STICK with it. Do something like... Monday- Chest Triceps Tuesday- Back Biceps Shoulders Wednesday-Legs Thursday- upper body max (Forearms, biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest Friday- Rest P.S Don't be intimidated by the really jacked up guys, toss out your ego when you go into the gym. Suck it up and use the 20 lb barbells because you've got to start somewhere.
Also those really jacked guys can be really awesome people, and they won't laugh at you for being weak or skinny or anything. They'll either mind their business or help you out. They started at the same level as you, so they know what's up. Any questions ask them, they know what they're doing.
Home workout kits work quite nicely, big shops like Argos or Costco usually have indoor gym sets. And yes, its nice to see people doing something about their weight. :)
Awesome. Good luck buddy.
Lawl I own all of you :3 15 years old,6'2", 135 pounds. Good luck with working out though.
The gym won't make you slim, in fact it'll make you look fatter because the muscles grow beneath the fat layers. Start jogging regularily and ride the bike to school, I've lost over 7kg unintentionally this way over just a few months.
Assuming you stick to it, good luck.

STICK with it. It's too easy to join a gym then not bother going. You've taken the first step. I'll be pleased for you when you stick at it and achieve something.
i'm doing the one hundred pushups in 6 weeks, try it but stick to the timetable, i did sets on monday and on tuesday, whereas it's monday, wednesday and friday the good old 6 pack pains somewhat
Before and after picture please!
Okay, and?
I essentially alternate my plan. One day is Easy abs and Legs, while the next is hard abs and Arms, going back and forth and running every day for about 2.5 miles~25 minutes. I've been doing it for the past 3 weeks and I'm actually getting good results, losing that little bit of fat I had on my stomach, developing a 6 pack finally and getting some actual muscle on me. I do it on monday tuesday wednesday, just day after day. I don't really need the rest day they throw in there, I think that's there for if someone is really out of shape..of course I leave plenty of time for the muscle to rebuild and grow inbetween weeks.
I dont care, I doubt anyone does
I've become loads slimmer in the last year, I've cut down on snacks/soda, generally started eating less, did some gym workout, rode around on my bike in summer, nothing too complicated. Also, I grew a bit height too, it helped.
So? I'm overweight too. I've given up soda completely, drink only water. I've cut my daily food consumption in nearly literally half and changed the diet itself to healthier food, and do 3 sets of push ups, 3 sets of pull ups and 3 sets of reverse push ups every day, plus a jog for my legs. You don't see me make a thread about it. Good luck nonetheless.
It's possible for anyone to lose weight I lost 65 pounds on my own. Just remember to stick with your rountine, and don't stop till you reach your goal. Cuz once you get it going it gets really easy

I heard the one in Viridian city is nice.
Pic before and after please.
Most gyms don't allow kids under 16. I've been working out since 7th grade and I'm about your age. And I'm doing pushups, different variations of exercises with dumbells aswell as training my abs in different ways. You get better effect of jogging if you're doing it outside. If you don't have any weights just tie a rope to a tree and lift yourself up in different ways.
I wanna join a gym, it's not that I'm fat, I'm average, not scrawny, and not chubby, I just want some muscles. But my severe lack of them make me hesitant to go to a gym where everyone has an abundant amount of muscle.
This is what I dreaded, but just buy some dumbells and do some pushups until you ache and you'd be surprised how you can put on some noticable muscle. For me, the arms are a problem. I have pretty much the muscle in my legs as a 100m sprinter has or footballer, my torso is decent for muscle, but I find it really hard to keep the muscle on my arms or increase it in size. There will be some other area you'll have a problem with but nothing is impossbile.
I did a half hour walk today. Around half a mile-to a mile, maybe more. Took the long way to and from. Did 30 sit ups, lifted weights around 100+ for each arm, starting off with 3 pounders, building my way up.
ok bitter furry
Great comeback, how about you insult my sexuality too

You're starting off by doing too much at once. I guarantee if you do all of that then you'll have given up within a month of starting. You're clearly way out of shape so start off by easing your body into it, if you dive in at the deep end then you're just gonna injure yourself and won't be able to train properly. Start off by going for fast walks or bike rides, get your heart and lungs used to a bit of cardio, after a week or two then increase those walks to a slow jog and at every week or 2 week increment, increase your workload. As for lifting weights, it's a great idea but remember not to overdo it. Make sure you have rest days, for example, you can work your arms, shoulders, chest and abs on monday, rest on tuesday, work your legs on wednesday, rest on thursday and work your back and abs on friday. That's my routine and it works well. Diet is important too, stick to healthy foods but don't eliminate proteins and amino acids from your diet, if you do that then the weightlifting will be pointless. Have healthy lunches like brown rice, chicken and peas or a tuna salad roll... There's loads of healthy snacks which still give you a well-rounded diet about on the internet for free. Don't go by weight either, numbers are a load of bollocks... It's all about how you look and feel.
I'm going to do the walk later but time myself. I ended up making one of my legs spasm out in the middle of the night so now it's sore. I'll skip weights for today, but I'll do sit ups for sure.
