i'm gonna go grab some lunch and actually write that thread cause I realize everybody needs a bit more info. 32 players would be in the 768MB-1024MB range, but if you're likely to not fill that up (we don't limit slots as usual) try out 512MB first and work up.
Sounds good. Also, how much disk space would I need? I run a good amount of plugins and I keep backups as well. Would it be possible to create a table or something showing the Lethal Drive equivalents to the brohoster server tiers? That might help a lot. I'm going to finish cutting the grass and then I'll see what's up.

If we do the 10 GB thing again, you'll be fine. It's overkill from what I've seen.
It's not like it's hard to obtain this information. You guys are making this out to be some kind of secret.
When idiots start doing stupid shit, Matt blames JWJ and the police go after JWJ because they are huge idiots.

Okay, I'll remove it from here, but if someone really wanted to do something about this... it's a few clicks away, regardless if I or anyone else posted it or not. They'd do it either way.
Certainly wouldn't want to get anyone else involved, so I shall bring it down.
Good times on the server...

What do you mean? I put the slider to 10 gigs of HDD space and its like $100. Am I missing something? That just seems really expensive. I'm really confused :S
Damn lost all my shit. I was gonna switch to LethalDrive anyway though, didn't know pre-orders were up. Pre-ordered.

Not again...
No notice beforehand at all... what kind of shit is this? Now I have to explain to all of my players that we've lost many hours of work because of this.
Is there any chance at all I can get my world file? Or is it all just gone?
Hey guys, this is Matt's number. snip

Stop with this shit. They couldn't pay the bills. Calling Matt and starting more drama like last time is only going to get others into trouble.
CU Family,
We regret to announce that Club Uptime, LLC will be closing its doors,
effective immediately.
With growing costs and a substantial number of nonpaying clients, we
have been unable to continue our business with SoftLayer.
As a result, we will no longer be accepting new signups or renewals
for our products or services.
We will update this page when backups are able to be made available to clients as we have them transferring to external backup servers right now.
Refunds will be issued to all customers who have already paid their
invoice for the current month, and will be prorated if paid quarterly,
semi-annually or annually .
Please be patient as this process may take up to 4-6 weeks to complete.
BroHoster Customers please refer to http://www.brohoster.com for
applicable instructions.
We've appreciated your business. Thank you.

Just let shit go.

What did the instructions say on the brohoster website i couldnt check because its gone
Yeah, im just praying my buddy backed up the world recently or were a few days behind cause i have no memory and didnt back it up myself...
oh wow the irony with the whole "we don't screw u like a ho" thing they had going hahaha
If you ask me. Brohoster never screwed anyone until that Matt guy showed up.
So I still believe that they stayed true to that.
It's not like JWJ, Andrew or anyone else of the Original Brohoster team screwed anyone over. They never did anything bad to me at least.
While I am concerned that my transfer may fuck up since brohoster decided to vanish. I sure as hell won't blame the original Brohoster team for that.
Since JWJ left I had expected this anyway. Good thing I cancelled.
What did the instructions say on the brohoster website i couldnt check because its gone
There weren't any, and my guess is there's not gonna be any.
Damn, this sucks for you guys. I just catched up with the thread. I am currently backing up my webserver. Which is still online for some reason. Thanks for the thread I would have lost loads of stuff!
There weren't any, and my guess is there's not gonna be any.
No Money back? :(
lmao we had 4000 clients and were selling 150 a day, hardly a failure
haha i keep forgetting that you were a mod
There weren't any, and my guess is there's not gonna be any.
Im not sure who wrote the info on the Clubuptime.com but im assuming its just a bit of misleading bull to give Matt some sort of head start ... that is... if he wrote it, because, yeah, brohoster.com hasnt been up to give any info since it went down earlier today.
Edit:
The thing that kind of gets me is, when Softlayer started disconnecting servers this morning they just instantly clear the saved info (our worlds)? No chance to renew yourselves? What kind of dick move is that?
So just to double check the servers have been reformatted already? How could there have been no notice about the impending reclaim? Wouldn't someone at brohoster have been alerted to the failure to pay, and could have quickly passed it on to clients so they could save a copy of their worlds?
If you did it through paypal just kill it in paypal.
And if we didn't go through PayPal?

I you actually read the thread, all your questions would've been answered before you even asked them.
But let me sum them up.
Only Matt (the guy who shafted JWJ) knew about brohoster sinking, and he even kept the rest of the employees in the dark.
Now go read this thread for all the juicy details.
And if we didn't go through PayPal?
Sue
but you can't
Thankfully I got my Domain transferred to Namecheap a few weeks ago.
