To me this looks like somone started hosting, got the help of some teens, calling them employees and got fucked out of his "company" by someone else.
I never followed the whole brohoster stuff in the first place but to me it looks like a few people tried doing something they knew jack shit about and failed.
Now the thing to do is to see this as a learning experience and to view it like this: trying is more than most people do.
The only thing suspicious to me is that this looks like jwj did everything by himself. OP what the fuck was your task?
It was.
You missed a lot if you haven't followed along, but out of everyone, (and while I'm quick to say this,) I think I know more than anyone considering I've worked for Brohoster longer than anyone. The owner, or the founder, or any of the staff.
That's the issue. Don't fucking let Jake make it look like he did everything himself again. He didn't. I wish I could elaborate on that more right now, but I'm so tired, I can barely think straight. (Everyone at Brohoster works ridiculously hard, directly related to the aforementioned.) He will destroy his own company again if he becomes a headfigure. The entire staff could not fucking stand this at all, not to mention we never got our staff page back to show who all worked for the company. That's my biggest complaint, besides various technical fuck ups that even lower access staff brought up.
The people who knew what they were doing always kept it going, we never failed. We were the #1 Minecraft server provider selling 150 servers a day at it's peak, only behind Multiplay because they sell so many other games. I made the dire mistake of bringing a greedy backstabber onto the team so I could provide lower prices to my clients. In fact, we still haven't failed - the entire team is just moving onto a new company which is going to do even better.
Well then what's the issue here? If everything is going to end up being better for everyone, why did this whole debacle even matter in the first place?
i am so confused right now
Ouch. Well, it was bound to happen eventually, but it still sucks for those who rented servers, and ESPECIALLY sucks for those who relied on this for income. :\
Looks like Hexxehs site.
Move to Denmark, get education for free.
I'm afraid that chargebacks are highly illegal.
I never found this meme funny. The staff went through more hell than anything during these dramatic times, and all the shit fodder was just point and laugh for FPers.
If you really want to show some respect for the former staff, I personally think you're better off not using that shit around here, but to anyone else from the company, feel free to tell me to piss off if you think it's hilarious. I just remember it being a shitfest internally at the time.

Here is a good chance to get people to notice the new company:

Because regardless that we're all moving on to better things, we have to recreate the business, and under much different circumstances.

Why does your contract not cover this case? The company fucking up I mean.
And what was your task at BH?
to be honest, the entire thing was handled unprofessionally and was bound to fail almost from the beginning.
for the first few weeks everything was ostensibly good but it went sour fast.
That's what happens when a company tries to scale without proper personnel or infrastructures.
Anyone know really what's going on. My site that I never moved out of Brohoster still seems to be online.
Edit:
My attempt to cancel when the mess started didn't work. And now I can't access the host at all. Great.

I'm the former lead support technician, and systems administrator for Brohoster. I oversaw the network for our thousands of clients and maintained it.

It takes time to reformat servers.
You can't just select a bunch of servers, and press the big red button to do it all at once.
I'm pretty sure they have to do this one by one, and that is about 4000 servers to go through.
I fail to see why JWJ was kicked out of Brohoster, seeing as he was such a good employee?

You would be surprised how easy it is to just run a script to delete all the VM's associated with it and delete them all and launch new ones.

He was fired for smoking i think. It was a "I need a excuse to fire you so you cant press charges against me"
Still sad to see all you guys end up like this though, I still have second thoughts about if I should have jumped ship like I did or stayed on until today like the rest did.

Its all just a series of tubes to be honest, just get some Mr. Muscle and clean it right out.

Yea uh, live chat wont just say anything about a account just because to some random person.
After Jake left, I helped maintain operations with the new general manager. He couldn't run the business without our core staff, and besides myself, we only had another support technician, but he hadn't been around even half the time I was.
Me leaving would have had significant weight on the business, and when I was "accidentally fired" Club Uptime made a press release over it.
Since the site is now down, I have it mirrored here: http://andrewmcwatters.com/pressrelease.pdf

At least they're moving onto a new company, where hopefully they'll be able to make a fresh start.

Wow. You say you can't pay for college now and then you say "Fuck my contract".

They weren't virtual. It would have been stupid to operate entirely under VMs.
Who me
wait you're andrew who's the other guy who tried to sell brohoster for nothing
Still sad to see all you guys end up like this though, I still have second thoughts about if I should have jumped ship like I did or stayed on until today like the rest did.
I guess if you wanted to make a few more euros. I would have bailed when Jake left, but they had me by the balls because I needed to pay off college.
I fail to see why JWJ was kicked out of Brohoster, seeing as he was such a good employee?
He was an amazing owner, little questionable at times but nothing that wont stop me wanting to work with him again.
