World access unlocked. Try now.
I still don't know where that money could have gone to. I can't even fathom how that could be lost.

Still having the issue I am getting "500 Access denied. File can't be downloaded."
Congratulations to the BroHoster team. We can't even appreciate the amount of work you managed to do just for all of us in the last days.
I'm having all my files back as we speak and it's awesome =D

YOU ROCK!!!! Thank you!!!!
P.S. Are you doing to hint to JWJ after LD launches to think about Terraria?

We're not going to be part of LD.
Currently in the process of pulling all my files. I'm glad.
However, I'm sad to see Brohoster go. The help they provided was incredible, and their pricing was very reasonable. I own a server that only I and two other friends build on, and it was nice to have a cheap plan for that purpose. Does anyone know of a different host I can roll with? I'm looking at some, and they want about $19/m for the service I was paying $6/m for at Brohoster. That's uncool.

I have no comment on that right now.

I thought JWJ hired you guys all on since Brohoster folded

I guess he offered, but the team turned him down.

Thanks for taking the time to tell us this, it means a lot to me (and the rest of the staff, too, I'm very certain). When we worked actively for BH we hardly got comments like that, and depending on if we were suffering from internal drama at the time, it made it really hard on us. We're human, too.

We didn't initially.
Larry just sent a mass-email from Club Uptime:
To All of our Bros,
I would like to start by offering my apologies to all of the customers of Brohoster and Club UpTime. We realize that the past few days have been a frustrating experience for all of you.
As many of you are aware, Club UpTime has had to close its doors, and an unfortunate side effect of that is that its subsidiary company Brohoster has been dissolved as well.
The remaining ex-staff of Brohoster along with a co-owner of Club UpTime have been working around the clock for the past three days to provide a solution for customers to retrieve their data. We have worked with SoftLayer to come to an agreement that allows us to open the public ports for all of our servers so that customers may log into their old services and retrieve their data. We have agreed upon a window of 72 hours for this access, so ask that you take advantage of this time.
Refunds will be issued to all customers who have already paid their invoice for the current month, and will be prorated if paid quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Please be patient as this process may take up to 4-6 weeks to complete.
I wish to thank the following people who have gone above and beyond to stick with us while in restoring these services as our primary goal has been to ensure our customers were taken care of:
Andrew McWatters – System Administrator / Tech Support (Brohoster)
Tyler Salwierz - System Administrator / Tech Support (Brohoster)
Terri Detlor – Tech Support (Brohoster)
Melodi – Community Management (Brohoster)
Brian – Silent Partner / VP (Club UpTime)
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the above mentioned individuals who have worked so hard to have your server access restored are also reorganizing into a brand new company which plans to offer the same high quality services and customer service. We will announce further information regarding this transition in the coming week.
We will have full support options available with the launch of the new company; however, in the meantime we will do our best to answer any questions we can via the standard channels of communication we have access to such as WebHostingTalk, FacePunch, FaceBook and IRC.
Sincerely,
Larry Detlor

we are very sad as well being the bh staff. thought we aren't happy with what happened we are fucking stoked that sl was willing to work with us and we were able to get things back online.
we the bh staff are working on getting a new company for mc hosting to start and who knows baby!!! obviously we haven't figured EVERYTHING out yet but our plan is to bust ass getting that going ASAP.
We will be transitioning old BH members over to a new project with a much more stable infrastructure and management. (None of this drama nonsense.) The individuals in charge will be overqualified.
Honestly, if those at Brohoster were to run a new, different hosting service, I wouldn't be afraid to resub with them. I'd even be willing to wait it out, despite being a very impatient person ^.^;
OH! Then we have a choice of LD and "A-team ex-hoster staff"?
As I already pre-ordered LD... on the assumption BH staff were going there haha. Good thing it's only $5 I paid.

I think that should be the name of your company "A-Team Hosting" with a tagline of "We will do anything to get the job done"
This incident is your resume.

lol loving the name but dunno how well that will fit on a biz card.
I never went with Brohoster in the first place, but I've just informed #bukkit and #minecraft about this.
Andrew and everyone else: You've done an amazing job handling this situation. You've taken an absolutely horribly situation and turned it around, at least to the point where you can help the people you can.
I'm wondering if we should see about mirroring these files somewhere else? We could probably throw them on S3 for a while, as 72 hours might be a little shorter than desired for some people.

It's 18TB of data. That might be a little difficult to transfer.

I'd have no problem sparing some bandwidth and some hdd to archive some stuff for people. If the servers become available with the web interface, I'd definately help out with that.

S3 could do it, it's bandwidth that really needs money.

It's just HTTP, it just takes a recursive curl/wget script to slurp down the files. You could then just offer indexes and voilla - brohoster mirror.
