I'll take a guess and say that those files aren't technically your property, and by providing a mirror, you will expose the personal data of clients that was only exposed for emergency data retrieval purposes only.

Would you rather everyone loose their data and then blame the hole ex-brohoster team on it? Its either this or nothing, take a pick.
I guess this is a last callout if you want me to get your worlds, just PM me your username.
Good luck with the new company and everything jwj and others.

You do realise he wasn't disagreeing with what they did and was simply stating a probable reason why they aren't going to mirror the brohoster content, right?
Good luck with the new company and everything jwj and others.
Just in case you're not aware, JWJ had nothing to do with the restoration of brohoster data, and the company the ex-staff are setting up isn't LethalDrive. It's Phoenixerve.
Why is this in general discussion... Brohoster was shit anyways, before they shutdown they charged me money even though I dident get service.

Refunds will be processed within 4-6 weeks apparently. Try emailing clubuptime@gmail.com

I did, I got a smart ass response similar to "We will get to it as soon as possible even though you're not receiving your service, its your fault etc etc"

I never mentioned anything to do with restoring the data..?
And I never mentioned Lethaldrive either, just generally wishing them luck with everything.
hi everyone. small update. we've been let know that the servers will be left on for appprox another 14.5 from now - currently 11:30 est. if anyone still needs their data or help recovering please email me at tdetlor (at) phoenixerve (dot) com as i won't be as available as i have been but i will get back to you asap! thanks!
If you need to search for your username still, here is an updated list. Just use ctrl+f in your browser and start to type your username. When you find it, scroll up until you find a server name. Here is the text file.
Its been great having them open the last few days. Got to play a bit more before having to wait for other servers to come online :P Thanks alot guys!

Then just have patience. The whole company went under and all the staff are without jobs - I'm sure they are doing the best they can.
Dallas servers 20, 30, 31, and 13 are giving a nil response.
(I don't have files to retrieve, but I'm keeping up with this regardless)
I would offer to download serverfulls of data, but I think Hexxeh has this covered.
11 of San Jose, 1-02 and 2-02 of Washington are also unresponsive.
Out of those, I could only bring 31 back online for some reason those other Dal 5 boxes are completely nonresponsive.
11 is fine now, and 2.02 is fine as well. 1.02 is fine internally, but refuses to send data for some reason.

9 hours left.
The timer makes me think that SoftLayer will detonate satchel charges placed on all the servers at the exact moment the count ends.

That does not mean they have to give me a jerk response.

No but it certainly justifies it. Think about how many people they are dealing with right now.

No it doesent. They are customer service, they are supposed to remain calm and help the customer. Acting like a asshole is just going to piss the customer off. That is the rule of thumb for business, act as nice as you possibly can to the customer.

They are not customer service any more. They are normal guys like you and I, that just happened to work at the company that got shut down. As I recall as soon as Clubuptime shut down they were out of jobs.
So Be nice to them. They didn't have to do any of this at all for us. We are not their customers as of right now.

just so things are clear here...the folks handling the refunds and inquires of that nature are NOT the bh staff, *we not not and never had any control of the finance side of things. the bh staff have in here with you guys giving info and help where needed. just wanted to clarify that due to ....well obvious reasons.
the former staff of bh - larry/gritten, tyler/darksoul, amc/andrew and me are the ones bringing you Phoenixerve in a short time. we are the ONLY folks from bh that are involved in this.
*added line i forgot

Any opinions? The font is TeX Gyre Adventor, which is free for use.
Just FYI, I'm all sold out of VPSes for now guys.
Thinking of possibly returning to the US again, PhoenixNAP in Arizona. Probably slightly higher pricing, starting at $7.50/m for 256MB, $15/m for 512MB, $25/m for 1GB, something like that. I'll nail down the specifics if there's demand for it.
What would you like to see? More US capacity at the same prices or go back to the US at a slight premium?
Edit: Gonna go for Arizona, will put an order in for a few servers there tomorrow and test the water. Might be able to keep the same pricing as EU, I'll crunch the numbers tomorrow.
I live in Arizona! :buddy:

Awesome. Do you guys prefer one in particular? Is there anything about the design you'd like changed?
I personally liked the first one, the color scheme was most appropriate in that one.
