You need one of the two that can curve, so you finger isn't locked, it will get very annoying like that. [editline]02:05PM[/editline] Also, I had know idea those knifes didn't lock, all my multi tool knifes have very strong locks.
I don't believe a swiss army knife of that size could do such a thing, but thats just me.
And you used a Magnum stick as a splint, oh dear boy :buddy:
Ill keep this in mind the next time I decide to close a knife on my finger.
I have exactly the same Swiss army knife knife as you. The screwdriver heads come in useful. Watch some films and play some point and click adventure games as everyone else is suggesting. I recommend the first two Broken Sword Games, the Gabriel Knight series, the Monkey Island series, Machinarium, Samarost, the Sam & Max series, Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Mansion, and Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis.
Just wiggle the hand a little to the left or right when you want to click. If life throws switchblades at you, you have to be resourceful!
Haha it's funny because a switchblade probably wouldn't have gotten him into this mess (<3 you Jallen)
Happened to me as well but my tendon grew back. Pics of the finger as it was healing: (Bear with me as I had a shitty 0.3MP camera at the time)
Take this as an oppertunity to do the challenge that I was never able to beat. Watch all 6 Star Wars films in the right order in a row. I got to half-way though 2 before I walked off. Then again I cannot concentrate on anything. Anyway, I feel for you my dear sir, I took the flesh off of the top half of my middle finger on my right hand. I did it by hiding behind a door that somone came through, and the door went straght through my finger, leaving the flesh hanging by some skin. I just had soem of those sick-on stiches put on, a dandage put round, and within a week of getting on with life I was back to normal. apart from a small scar. I may take a picture. Diagram: At age 10 that shit hurt. Damn doors, they always seem so innocent.

Use this in your favor, become Ambidextrous.
Did you sue the makers of that knife? you probably could seeing as there should have been a locking device when there wasn't
Classic Victorinox Swiss Army Knives have never had a locking mechanism. In many places, having a locking mechanism makes the knife illegal to carry in public, and Swiss Army Knifes are designed for everyday use. The OP should have been using a locking knife (which Victorinox also offers). It's not the fault of the company.

I honestly considered the fact OP hit something other than bone because tendons are also white. I made the right diagnose. I feel like a true FP doctor now. :q: And to OP, good thing you got it checked. Next time be more careful with your knife.
There are only three Star Wars films
No... there are 6...
Good thing i'm left-handed :smug:
Buy every Lost season, thatll last 4-6 weeks
Oh man, I have the same knife and it doesn't lock. It actually came down on the pad of my thumb once, didn't really bleed, didn't really hurt. But I'm going to be extra careful now.
Wow. I always leave my swiss army knife at my desk and I'm always cutting things.
play canabalt, it's addictive and uses only the spacebar [editline]03:10AM[/editline] also i cut two of my fingers off in a salad slicer when i was 12 but had them reattached and it's all good today (my typing WPM is something like 170 max)
Dwarf Fortress.
No... there are 6...
go away you don't exist *throws darts at picture of George Lucas* why George why... I loved you... and then you made pr-pre---prequels *shudder*
Happened to me as well but my tendon grew back.
Sorry but that's impossible. How long has it been since you cut it? You either did't cut through the tendon or you are going to have to watch your finger slowly curl up over time and are in a much bigger shitstorm than me. Extensor tendons cannot heal natually after being severed because the ends must be touching, and tendons naturally receed. A tendon also takes about 10 weeks to heal to its full strength. As well as this, if you cut into the joint capsule, infection is extremely likely which will probably leave you with an arthritic finger.
Aw dude, your click finger... I feel for ya
I was about to buy a new knife too, but I would suggest slavehack. It's probably easy to play one-handed and it's pretty good.
:( that sucks man.
OP, how the hell did you type all that.
OP, how the hell did you type all that.
Rated you clocks, as that answers your question.
hey! My brother has that keyboard. but really, the best thing for pain I found is gaming, but if you can't do that I recommend House, if you don't know what it is, it is a TV program you can get on DVD.
hey! My brother has that keyboard.
Why do you keep bumping old threads? Also, if the OP finds this again, how's it going? Hope everything's ok now :buddy: I recently whittled an airsoft magazine with a pretty blunt none-locking knife, and now I feel like an idiot :smith:
