Iron Sky was a tragedy of film making because they went and chose the worst possible plot idea and absolutely abysmal writing for what was more or less advertised as the most unique of science fiction movies instead of making a movie about the supposed Nazi project in their antarctic base in New Swabia and an attempt to launch a lunar rocket from there in the wake of an incoming secret US operation.
It's cool to see a hollow earth movie at least, I actually don't think I've ever seen that used before in fiction
except some of the most famous books ever but ok
The only thing I enjoyed in the first movie where the space battles. The rest was pretty crappy with few jokes working for me but with the rest I cringed.
Iron Sky was a complete failure and utter garbage imo. a great opportunity completely wasted. this looks even worse.
Iron Sky could have been an amazing action movie about motherfucking moon Nazis but instead what came out was a half-assed political satire that was already dated with every joke in it overdone by the time it came out It was a fucking tragedy of a film
I want a movie about Moon nazis where the Nazis win
i just wanted this in movie form: but instead of even trying to do that they just made complete schlock
Iron Sky was a perfectly fine and serviceable B-Movie, as that is all it really was and all that it was ever going to be, just a B-Movie with flashier effects and getting vexed that it wasn't something more is rather naive. It was about Nazis from the moon for crying out loud, sure the actual invasion was short but it did the job as well as was to be expected. This one... well... Eeeeuuggghhh... At least it's different, not just the same on another planet but what's the angle? Lizard people running the world? Great so... Why do it as a sequel? I mean the original movie ended with the planet getting nuked, who the hell are they supposed to be ruling over?! And that's not a spoiler as it's in this trailer so meh!
It's cool to see a hollow earth movie at least, I actually don't think I've ever seen that used before in fiction
Its not overdone, but its certainly been done before.
Iron Sky was somewhat disappointing, but it was still pretty enjoyable. Just don't set the bar too high for a movie about moon nazis and subterranean lizard-men.
could soneone ells remake a movie like this.? not in name but the same basic idea. like nazis either made 70 year's latter by living somewhere remote building there tech like how it was done well in Hellsing,(maybe not vampires or the moon but a remote realstic place) or more like Wolfenstein where they won World War II and rule the world with an Iron fist. But with a SERIOUS TONE.
I think the idea is that the subterranean lizard Nazis aim to fight the moon Nazis or martian communists.
I hear Finland really really hates America
who told you this?
who told you this?
Buddy on steam, plus a Scandinavian steam mate with a bitter anger towards Americans. Plus the first Iron Sky just reeks of Hate :v:
I just remembered, around the time the original Iron Sky came out, didn't some "mockbuster" film company try to capitalize on the hype by making a movie about Nazis coming back after hiding in the center of the earth? The sequel is a knockoff of the knockoff of the original.
Buddy on steam, plus a Scandinavian steam mate with a bitter anger towards Americans. Plus the first Iron Sky just reeks of Hate :v:
finland isn't part of scandinavia and making political satire doesn't mean we as a people "hate" America. it's honestly baffling that you'd come to a conclusion like that based solely on two Steam contacts and a rather shitty satirical film. hell it almost sounds like the stereotypical "they hate America and freedom" thing; they criticize the US of A, that means they must absolutely hate us. as a side note, if a nation actually hates "America" they most of the time have a good reason for that.
Iron Sky was somewhat disappointing, but it was still pretty enjoyable. Just don't set the bar too high for a movie about moon nazis and subterranean lizard-men.
why not? a good amount of cheesiness and dumb action would have made for a great ride of a movie. All we had was some pathetic satire with little to no decent action and a almost slapstick retarded plot following a bunch of terrible characters. I would have been happy with a classic formula of "alien invasion" style movie with nazis, but they didn't even manage to do that imo. The cgi was also pretty bad overall, but I don't mind that too much. you don't need a huge budget to make a good movie.
These movies are joke movies at best, I don't see why people get super serious about them. They're entertaining to watch and give you a good laugh.
They're entertaining to watch and give you a good laugh.
Outside of a few moments I'd respectfully disagree with you on this, it wasn't funny and that's the problem most people have with it.

Once again, I figured it might nice be fun, corny stuff like Mars Attacks. I want Moon Nazis fucking up earth.
Star Wreck is still the best thing ever.
i thought the first movie was so fucking retarded. I mean it has a pretty good plot but at the same time it's like what the fuck this shit sucks
TBH how was the Iron Sky soundtrack? Just want to see if its worth my time.
TBH how was the Iron Sky soundtrack? Just want to see if its worth my time.
It was the 2nd best thing about the movie. First best being the CGI and the Moon Nazi design stuff.
