It's weird how the physics of a man-on-vehicle collision work. The way the guy seemed to get picked up and fly, rather than just get smushed under it.

Reminds me of one time I was crossing a street to a Romano's Macaroni Grill and this guy in the right-hand lane plowed into me trying to make a turn while the light was red and the crosswalk was on. I basically stayed upright with my hands on the hood of the guys car while my feet lifted up, and by the time his car stopped I was five feet from where I'd been standing. I shoved off his car, yelled at him and walked off to dinner, but it was still weird.

I heard about this. Austin has some SHITTTTTTY drivers. It's fucking insane. No other city i've lived in has drivers anywhere near as bad as here. The taxis, the buses, hell even the people on bikes.

I have been to one of these before. The people downtown are really cool, when they aren't driving
