That's cool stuff. I can't use it, however.
1. It contains copyrighted images.
2. It's Grand Theft Pizza Delivery.
Great work though.

If we do something for you, and it looks that good, you should probably use it.
And using copyright images doesnt matter as long as the game is free.

or pizza
Good for you getting it funded, and hope there are some people that will enjoy the game.
Everyone has to start somewhere and if it's Grand Theft Pizza Delivery, why not?. (I don't know the backstory) but, if it was just an at home project where the parents, or even if the parents weren't giving you the support, to get it on kickstarter and funded is great. It's also good to know your first game at such a young age got some buzz. Even if it's mostly sarcastic, any news is good news. [sp] unless it's something horrible of course [/sp]
This game will truly be the on the cutting edge.

I'm sorry about your hopes but we will try to get the game greenlit. We don't know whether we will be able to, knowing about how hard it is to get on. But our fans want us to try and we will.
On a related note, Our greenlight campaign should be up in about a week.

I am sorry to inform you but as soon as this gets greenlit you are going to be sued out of your ass for the "Grand Theft" alone in the same font as used as the franchise.
Most anticipated game of 2014 for sure i hope my old computer can play this stuff

Here at Shandy Pants Studios, we put a lot of work into making sure our game does not violate any copyrights. We are ok with the"Grand Theft" name. Other companies, like "Grand Theft Audio", etc have not had any issues. We may have problems, in which we would be required to change the name of the game. As for the font. "Pricedown" is free for commercial use.
We spend hours of research into this stuff. Trouble with the law is the last thing we want.
I suppose it looks better than Ubisoft games do after E3.

i hope you realise i know this is your dream, but you might wanna build on this dream a bit further before you move this to steam greenlight. further on this can be used as practice for a future in the video game industry. there was a guy who made stuff like this and it took him about a decade to finish it into something fun and playable and something i might dish out cash for.
none of us are gonna stop you, hell you even have my vote on greenlight since i wanna help you achieve your dream, but be aware that you might just have this blow up in your face.
This reminds me of the early '00s when me, my brother and my cousin dicked around in Game Maker. I remember we made a game in which you rode a minimoto into the city, crashed it into this independent game store's window and smacked the owner's hairy arm with a pop-sickle stick.

will be able to punch people if they refuse the pizza service.
We will see if we can add that in. Why not?
Shandy, the art would look better if you didn't use MS Paint. I'd personally reccomend Paint.net.

paint is part of the game's charm and aesthetic, I disagree.

We will probably not change the graphics program / Graphic style. This is because itwould mean that we would have to redo our current sprites. That would lead to more delays. We want to move forwards with the game. As it said in the 13 year game development video, he wanted to redo his sprites as the game went on. We want to keep a good pace in development, so we don't want to redo some of the already decent sprites. (We've already remade all of the sprite/Backgrounds since the original prototype.)
13 year game development...
I doubt you've been working on this for 13 years.
He's talking about the video that was linked in this thread earlier..
Edit:
I thought it was linked in this thread. Idk, he's referring to a video where a guy took 13 years to develop his game.

I have a feeling the people that funded it were like "oh fuck" when it actually met the target though, considering you get refunded if it doesn't anyway.
The game was funded in 3 days. People kept funding it many days after. People had a chance to cancel, but they didn't. I guess that means there is a supportive community for Grand Theft Pizza Delivery. It's nice to think that people like your work...
Funding came through today.
Just imagine the potential for this game to attract a strange cult following that starts out ironically but transcends into legitimacy
What if this kid gets super rich and starts his own video game company because of this? :v:
then it would be the biggest joke ever to those who have tried getting funded and failed for their actual projects with potential
then it would be the biggest joke ever to those who have tried getting funded and failed for their actual projects with potential
It's a shame to see game which never get off the ground. Usually it's just because the funding goal is too high. Games like "Dino Run 2" looked awesome. But since everyone needed a pay check, the funding goal was outrageously high. Most of the time, good games get funded. And that's why I think kickstarter is so good.
