You know what, this game's gonna kick ass and I'm gonna buy it.
This is admirable. I wish I had the drive to do something this big when I was your age (or even now). I really hope it turns out well.
I hope this kid does well. Imagine in the year 2030, when you're playing the hot new IP from Naughty Dog, and decide to punch in the Konami Code at the title screen, just for laughs, and...

I managed to set up an interview with Shandy Pants Studios to look at their work ethic and how they make their games, I am about to walk in but here is a picture of their studios:
i really hope you don't even try to get this greenlit.
This got so many disagrees, and at risk of being called out on "calling facepunch a hivemind", I find it hypocritical that (most I find) people in facepunch complain about how broken Greenlight is, how AWFUL games get greenlit and how steam is being spammed with horrible greenlight games nobody wants, and most are cheering for this. If this game wasn't so bad it could be mistaken for satire I might have a different opinion, but this just belongs on your quick Google search for flash games to kill 5 minutes. I fear this might actually be greenlit due to people finding it so bad its funny and want to funnily get it greenlit on steam, yet this is doing nothing about the Greenlight problem and only makes it worse. When I go on steam I want to play games developed by people who have more experience, not this silly little game that everyone knows will be sub-tier.
Not to discourage you ShandyPants, but Greenlighting this would not be healthy for the Steam environment and certainly doesn't belong there, not to say you can't be one of those people who have more experience, you wont get more experience without experimenting developing like this, but this is just a word of advice. I would prefer you learn from what you make here, and go on to make better games that are worth spending money on.

I really do understand what you're saying. Steam's greenlight does have flaws, and it has let games like Earth: 2066, or Air Control arise. As for whether our game is suited there? It depends on you.
People have been wanting us to put the game on greenlight. The finished game will not be awful and broken, and in my opinion, quite good. This game has much more depth than most free flash games. We are probably talking about 1-2 Hours of gameplay. We, at shandy pants studios, are happy to put the game on greenlight. The greenlight license is usable forever, so it is worth the initial price.
We are planning to try and get the game on Desura, as I think our game will be well suited there. We will try to get it on soon, and possibly distribute the alpha build through there.

What the fuck, this is a downgrade from the graphics in the E3 trailer.

It may not have as great and dramatic lighting, but the comprehensiveness of the environment is much easier for the brain to understand and improves gameplay. I can see why they went forward with this decision.
It really does honestly bother me that most people in this thread are just being ironically satirical and sarcastic.
Everyone starts somewhere when they go and make something like a game. At least this kid is trying to learn and become better. Although, I will admit that the idea of greenlighting it seems like a bad idea. Publicity is great, but I think you guys would be better off with learning the ropes and getting yourselves familiarized with software development on a much deeper level.
Not saying that this isn't a bad idea. It just lacks depth. I think you need to start small (like you have already) and then just constantly improve. Like that guy who spent what, 14 years of his life making a game? He just kept adding onto it over the years as he became progressively more proficient at programming and graphic design.
You guys should probably consider taking that path, rather than shelling out a game that most people will buy because it's a joke or gag-item gift.

When are people going to realize that these montage parodies are worse than the thing they are making fun of?

I agree, but perhaps with another game. As it is, GTP is a pretty simple game. With a more ambitious concept, I'd totally go for try and improve it overtime, but GTP is a pretty simple game that can't really be that much added onto without ruining part of the charm. You're really only delivering pizzas, I can't imagine how experience would improve the game by a lot.

Wouldn't work and they are supposed to be awful so get memed on ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

People want your game greenlit because they think it'd be funny to have yet another poorly made game get greenlit and to laugh at the piss poor quality of the game, IF they really want to cash out on this piece of shit flash game. I feel people aren't being as harsh as they should be with you, but I'll be the first to say release this as a free game to gauge interest for your next commercial release that can be improved on via the reviews Grand Theft Delivery got. Shandy Pants Studios? you aren't even a studio, you are god damn teenage kid with a few other friends creating a game, it makes you sound pretentious and a bit silly.
We have uploaded a new (Work in progress) Tune for Grand Theft Pizza Delivery. Have a listen.
