Different tones of bleeps so censorship doesnt make M programing impossible to understand

It's really ridiculous when they think about cencoring books. I remember the BBFC was thinking about giving books age certificates at one stage.

Thats just the worst thing that could happen.
How can you even think about something like this? Learn your history.
Best kind of censoring is the kind where they redub the words.

And once I was watching Die Hard 3 and Bruce Willis said "Yippy kai yay, melon farmer!"
Why are M programs censored anyway? I take it M means mature in American censorship?
Do you have a TV watershed in America? Basically it means after a certain time you're allowed to have swearing, nudity, violence and adverts for gambling and drinking etc. It's 9pm in Britain

They do in Quebec, 10pm onwards last I checked.
Or you could take a few minites to learn to lip read the swears...

Fuck, fucking, cunt.
Do I win?
I just find it disgusting... Honestly, this is the one thing I actually care about in this fucked up world.
Censorship is fucking stupid, I am tired of some overly worried parents who demand censorship and they get it. So because a handful of people get their panties in a bunch, I have to suffer?
If I don't want my kids watching a show, I will turn the god damn television off.
But it shouldn't even come to that. If parents would do their job, and teach their kids right from wrong then you could show the kid whatever the hell you want and he or she should know when it is appropriate.
I use profanity all the damn time around the right fucking audience, however, I know when not to use it.
If your kids are too fucking stupid to know when and where to use language or talk about certain things, you failed as a fucking parent.
If someone came in and FORCED you to believe in their religion that wouldn't be right would it? So why are these same people allowed to force their beliefs about content on to us?
Unfortunately I fear that the damage is done and can not be reversed. The only thing we can do now, is stop it from getting any worse.
Don't even get me started on the stupid politically correct bull shit.

Ontario it's ~8 on, I've seen.
They should make the volume of the bleep proportional to the volume the swearword is shouted/said.
Here in Brazil some less serious shows do it like "YOU *BEEP*CKING *BEEP*UNTS!" :v:
Censorship is pointless in my opinion.
I mean seriously, its better they hear it on TV and they can have their parents go "You hear that? Don't say that." rather for them to hear it out on the "playground" and start using it everywhere.
Kind of like STDs, if you avoid talking about em' theres more of a chance you'll be fucked because of it.

I'm talking full-blown softcore porn though on TQS come 11.
There is always that one guy who makes the Mario theme song out of random noises.
This would be a field day for him.
In the USA the only things that get censored are public broadcasts (including radio). But NOT paid programming (IE Cable, Sat. Cinemax etc.)
If you are watching cable/sat programming and it is censored then it was a choice (usually) of the parent network or sometimes more rarely by the programming developers themselves.
I hate bleeping. It makes many programs hard to understand and ruins some jokes. they should just rate it, because most of the people who watch M rated programing do not care if it swears.

Beat me to it. Comedy Central is a good example. They generally show uncut versions of stand up comedy and I've seen "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut!" at like midnight. Its interesting to note how different networks have different blacklists for words. The radio is another big example of this. Sometimes piss is blocked, sometimes bitch, or shit. Shit is more likely to be blocked though.
Censorship of tv doesn't even work haha
it's like
shut the f*bleep*ck up f*bleep**half of the a sound*ggot
I personally like when they switch profanities with other words.
