Girls and political ideology - where did it all go wrong?

I use politics as a way of rooting out girls that are worth taking seriously or talking to, for example I was just getting interested in this girl who Id met that was crushing on me and then she posted this on facebook
Nooo they shuldent have killed bin ladin because now were gonna get nuked
Needless to say Ive avoided contact with her since. Then the very next day in my Social Studies class, a shy girl I was casual friends with said:
All of the news analysts keep saying that the death of Bin Laden has brought the US and 9/11 victims "justice". Im just wondering what do they mean by justice? What qualifies this as justice?
Ive started hanging out with her more often since.
Then again half my school thinks Im a communist because I said I was a liberal, apparently they didnt know the difference.

Sometimes the quiet ones are more thoughtful than it seems.
In Germany, right winged mindsets are accepted mostly in lower class groups, especially the "Chavs".
There's a very simple explanation for that and its that poor people tend to be less educated, they also tend to not think critically as much as those with better qualifications and those who have achieved a certain level of wealth. I know a lot of people who are rich and idiots, but they're usually spoiled and so on. A large group of those who support extremist groups on either side are simply looking for drastic change and have not thought any deeper than populist bullshit that preys on emotion.
so you are upset because most girls you talk to have right wing views
why should you care
As Hana-San said, sixth form is part of one's (optional, in your country) secondary education.
Australia is an interesting example, because most people are entirely apolitical.

What course are you in Hana-san?
Science. So I should probably be interested in some of it just for the course. But I just find it boring and a load of words that will never mean anything.
OP is sexist, and the funny part is that the beliefs he is placing on the stereotypical woman are atypical for even stereotypes.
From what I've seen from experience this painfully can't be further from the truth when it does actually happen, regardless of gender. The last class I used to go to pretty much had a large majority clearly not knowing anything about the political/social philosophy or stance in our own country. It's surprising because most, if not all, were all 17-19 years old.
Also what the OP mentioned;
"prison is way too cushy, people just go there cos it's easy. Prison should be punishment and nothing else - people should be scared to go. There should be no comforts in prison"
I swear is something incredibly similar to what one of my classmates stated at the time.
middle-class, British
That's your reason. Middle class people are generally more right winged compared to the working class. If they experienced life in the gutter for a while, maybe they would consider equal opportunity campaigns.
Most girls I know are liberal.

A girl started dating a Japanese guy. The girl's dad was in the USMC during WW2 and was tortured horribly by the Japanese in POW camps. When the dad met the girl's Japanese boyfriend, however, they shook hands and the dad was really civil and polite to the boyfriend

This is a dumb story regardless, because after WWII, the Japanese fell in love with the US mostly thanks to General MacArthur being such a bro to them in helping them rebuild and redesign their country. Also, this story just outright assumes everyone's racist.
I never realized that prisons were comfortable. :geno:
Anywho, I can see what you mean. They seem to always be teetering to the right wing edge. Sure they don't want to be classified as some dumb valley girl, but in reality, some are. I guess its just a thing we'll have to live with.
Of all the girls I am acquainted with
Witty comment.

The point was to show that the daughter expected the dad to be racist, bro
