Private School, but unfortunatly we were'nt that rich and had to stick with pot. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] hahaha some guys in one of my tutorials dressed up a crusaders today and ran around the campus before class started. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] attacking people with plastic swords and being an annoyance to secruity who were like right behind them. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] then funnily enough this saudi guy bring in a real sword n shit.
I went to a Public school. For a while I thought there were plenty of kids doing all kinds of shit, I half expected them to be having random orgies that no-one told me about. Soon learned that all they did was go to someone's place in the country and drink shitty moonshine (not kidding). The cool guy who smoked some weed on one of these things was revered and a few people panicked because they thought the cops would come, while they were on a random property 20kms from civilisation.
Public school, though shit like that never really happened.

Is there much difference between the public and private secondary sector? Like i can tell the difference between Scotch and Bentleigh Sec. but for all those mid range schools.
[url]http://www.abc.net.au/iview/#/view/741699[/url] 4 corners report on qf32 back in November last year [editline]31st March 2011[/editline] interesting to know how close they were to australia's worst air disaster.
Qantas is in this awkward state of never crashing but shit just breaking down
[QUOTE=hehe;28891064]Is there much difference between the public and private secondary sector? I went to a public school and a fairly low socio-economic zoned one as well, but we got just as many students with high ATAR (victorian year 12 mark) as did the private schools per head. We had about seven get into Melbourne Uni out of our 50~ year 12s. We had people doing aerospace engineering, civil engineering etc. I know there'd be more people doing this kind of thing in a private school but they also have far more students than we did, so I don't think there's a large case for paying $60k a year to get educated vs. paying like $400. Their parties weren't even better than ours really. I had more fun roaming the streets while three local friends had public school parties in the same neighbourhood than I did standing around drinking classy drinks at MLC, Scotch and Wesley parties.
[QUOTE=Lonestriper;28900409]Qantas is in this awkward state of never crashing but shit just breaking down[/QUOTE] yeah, shits bound to happen if you outsource your maintenance to some shitty and cheap quality company.
What's the story behind that? My cousin works as one of the maintenance guys on boeings.

Fitzroy. It opened in 2005 after being shut down 20 years before when Keating was being a cunt about public schools. It was a bit scummy and stuff but it has non-traditional schooling techniques which actually seemed to work. We had a pretty high achieving year, especially compared to the year before and maybe the year after as well.
[QUOTE=Mlisen14;28902830]What's the story behind that? My cousin works as one of the maintenance guys on boeings.[/QUOTE] a pipe that delivers oil to the engine had been drilled a few mm off centre (by Rolls Royce), and many stressful takeoffs (due to short runways at airports like LAX) have caused the thing to develop a stress fracture. oil leaked into the engine, causing an oil fire, which then made the engine explode, with the exploding debris going through fuel and control lines.
brutal i've been into to some of the boeing buldings probably the most amazing industrial workshops i've ever seen
You must need to be crazy skilled to work in them

The had this whole open teaching thing. No spare classes yet longer classes. A few people did really well. Then they go and bullshit about how everyone who did year 12 and got an ATAR, got the mark they wanted. Many were thinking they would get a lot higher. I got a 53 when I was expecting a 60. So I was close.
