I don't think anyone's bragging about doing 1000+ word essays, if the requirement is 1000 words you do that many. I had to do about 10-20 in year 12, yet to do any in uni.

Then I'm bragging about my profession being better as I do not have to write long, droning essays for whatever reason.
I have to write a few reports but it's basically "wot i did" and I can include as many pictures to fill up space as I want.
