Making Australia look even worse than it is.
If it was genuinely a meet-up thread, it should look similar to Hezzy's at least.

Who went to FMF?! I went yesterday and it 'showered' for most of the day so we got drenched in foam at 4pm and then shivered ourselves through every song right up until 10pm. I got home and took off my soggy shoes and my feet were a different colour to my legs :/.
AWESOME!!!1

Why are we in chat threads...
Also, Australia is a fantastic country, but I don't want to live here for the rest of my life.

Yeah its not where I see myself , say 10 years from now
so, do we want nuclear power?
Since its practically the only viable option for safe, non polutting energy for the foreseeable future, yes, i support nuclear power.

If the Aboriginals would stop being stubborn cunts we could build large, solar arrays and get a shit load of clean power.
Hell, if they'd stop being so stubborn we could pump a heap of water out into low lying areas in the outback, flood them, and grow trees near the water. We could effectively terraform large parts of the land, but... noooo, that'd somehow taint the land.

Good luck convincing people of the safe part. We already had Chernobyl, now Japan will probably fuck things up even further.

Just wait until Peter Garrett comes out in full force...
...supporting it

Agreed, Australia is a good place to grow up in, but I don't want to be here forever.
Where is everyone planning on going?
States or Europe

For the most part it's not Aboriginals, it's the scare-tactic Greens and ACF.

Winland or?

States.
The Journalism industry in Aus kinda sucks.
I'm sure the States could use another Lawyer.
I hope to one day move to Canada. It's like the states, but with less retarded people.
don't move to the states
trust me on this
I got no problem living in Australia. Might not get as much work as I'd like here but if I did move, it would be just so I could work. If I had to move to the states, I'd hope to be getting twice the wage I would here.
What kind of journalism are you looking at?
Canada's pretty decent.
Do not for the life of you, ever move to the states. period.
What kind of journalism are you looking at?

International Journalism degree, doubled with an International Law degree.
What's wrong with the States? D:
Moving to the states also has the benefit of being able to buy guns of all shapes and sizes. Definitely a plus.
its not that the people are bad or anything,
but living there, isnt enjoyable. a few points:
Unless you're a government worker or covered by something like Defence Health, you will need to pay for health insurance, which is notorious in the US.
All the food has corn syrup added to it, makes all the food unbearably sweet, the only really good food i ate there was either Chinese or traditional american food (crab cakes, pecan pie etc.)
The state of the economy at the moment makes it one of the worst places to live, the country is snowballing and id would rather be in Australia when shit hits the fan there, so at least the fallout from that fuck up wont be too bad.
I've been to the US several times, my family was actually going to move there because of my father's work, but im much happier we didnt, you can only do well there if you already have money.
Well if I move to the US, it will only be because I've got a very well paid job. That should not be a problem.
