i mean i can afford it, but i can't afford to get a car that's going to chew through petrol
Ah, fair enough.
Whatever you get, rip out the back seats and put down a foam mattress. It's small, but still usable, and weight reduction means less petrol use.

fuck dressing to impress
i dress for practicality purely
often dressing to offend is a lot more amusing than dressing to impress
i own a dozen pairs of black jeans, only a couple of pairs of levis for skateboarding
half a dozen black hoodies
a bunch of black shirts i bought at gigs on a whim, most of them are fucked
the only matching socks i own i wear to work
i dress nice to work, only purely out of necessity, slacks, polished shoes, shirts i have to iron (fucken)
i wear boots and i do pay a lotta dosh for shoes, cause if you're gonna force your feet to do something they weren't designed to do, you may as well do it in comfort
seriously, caring about clothes is a waste of time
though i am thinking about buying this, cause i never paid for any of their music and their gigs were sold out, and i feel i should support them somewhat
http://www.elefanttraks.com/node/7870
it's probably an ignorant view, but i think people that care overly about appearances have a very narrow mind, i don't give a fuck who you think you are
if you have to think hard about what to wear, you should kill yourself and be reincarnated as something less useful, because that's what you are LOL
i am probably late with this, but i just worked the last 12 hours so go me
Awesome.

I occasionally wear my sweat pants to uni with a nice dress top to piss off bogan haters
Hello of a fucking storm this morning in Melbourne. All the appliances in my house went out, had to flip the switch again.
I love modern electrical setups.
had a problem a couple of weeks ago
power kept going out, and there'd be smoke
nobody could work out why. kept switching mains back on after it tripped
10 mins later, goes off. look outside, see what's going on
TREE EXPLODES
the tree across the road kept hitting the power lines and caused the surge protector to keep going off
was nuts though cause of explosion
I went there last year to snowboard
Same. For school and with parents.
Fuck yeah snow! So happy.
I saw a guy at uni today wearing one of those mass effect hoodies, talk about coincidence.

What a stupid decision.
women shouldn't be allowed to serve on the front line.
[editline]12th April 2011[/editline]
though the skype thing is shocking.
why not?
israel (and i think even canada) place soldiers on the frontline, and both have very respectable military forces.

Differences in body structure would require a different webbings and bags, so they can hold the weight.
What happens when you're in the middle of a firefight and she has her period?
What happens when she's captured by the enemy?
They're not as physically capable, especially for special forces roles.
and i guess i could point out the emotional problems, but that would be a case by case thing.
I don't want to sound misogynistic, women should be allowed to do all the things men can do, it's just this one role I believe women should be kept out of, war is a cruel and disgusting thing, something I would prefer to keep away from women.
[editline]12th April 2011[/editline]
that's just my opinion though, im sure there are women alot tougher than I am out there and would probably beat me up if i said something like that.

For a female to want to be on the front line, she would need to be a pretty strong female, and they would make it harder for a female to get in I'm guessing anyway.

i honestly can't be bothered replying right now.
but all those things do have to be conisdered, but the way you've written it makes it seem as if you're talking about them being a 'lesser' person.
why are they not able to enter the cruel and disgusting warzone?
of course, for women, it would be a choice they make once they have already entered the ranks, rather than one they have to make before joining the military
yea, its come off like that, my bad.
I honestly can't decide whether I support it or not.
I honestly can't decide whether I support it or not.
think up some logical reasons that don't involve periods or emotions.
think up some logical reasons that don't involve periods or emotions.
Well, biologically males are meant to be the "protectors" and have a body type to match.
On the flip side no doubt the women wanting to serve are capable.
I'm leaning more towards agreement but it still doesn't sit easy

That argument is useless, think women in combat pilot roles.
They need different uniforms, what if she's captured by the enemy? What if she has her period when flying? She's not emotionally capable to drop bombs and shoot down dozens of combatants? She's not fit for flying?
I think women should have the right to serve in the armed forces in any combat role. The Canadian army has allowed women to serve in combat roles, and has been a success.

I agree with this.
The arguments about all women being more emotional is fucking stupid shit, because that's just the social component.
The women who do meet the physical requirements will be let in, and ones who don't, won't, just the same as men.
Periods? You know the pill has been around for decades, and most women who frequently engage in physically strenuous exercise don't have their periods anyway.
The only argument of merit you have, is that it affects the men differently. Which is just a matter of conditioning the soldiers different. Have them see the female soldier as a soldier first.
On -n3o-'s point, here is pretty ass-kicking female pilot:
biologically males are meant to be the "protectors" and have a body type to match.
To be fair, men aren't biologically 'protectors', that particular trait evolved as the stronger man is better able to have sex with a lot of women.
i think it should come down to choice
cultural attitudes suck, its what makes the world go round

eh
that's a cultural thing, not a biological thing imo
you dudes raised some good points.
each to their own i guess.
