Wait so only $12.45 and your 18? I get $14.56 an hour at mcdonads and same age. But no one gets time and a half if they work over their normal hours. Only get extra on public holidays, and managers normally work those shifts.

Are you working part time or casual? There's about 25pc difference between full/part time and casual, same jobs.

I'm a part timer, if I was casual I would be getting about $20 an hour. But instead I get 3 4 hour shifts a week, one of them on a Sunday.

yeah Casual so that probably explains why. Tho I don't think the managers get extra as well. But that's probably because they're managers.

Yeah, better than paying 1k per subject per semester, and 6k per subject per semester for professional doctorates.
Then again, if you joined the army they'd be paying about $13k per subject (debt payment taken as income), and would have to go on and do a four year internship with them for ~$70k a year (which you have to do anyway).

It depends whether they are casual or part time or full time. Pretty sure that most of my managers are full time and only a few part time, but they work at different places and are students at uni, mainly doing teaching.
You get paid 25% more as a casual because they don't have to give you sick days and stuff, and can just tell you to fuck off whenever, or reduce your hours to like 3.
25% extra for no job security. IMO worth it considering they're secondary market jobs.

General Service Officer was my no 1 choice, I chose another one that focused on legal studies, or training in that kind of area and my final choice was aeronautics
