driving up to buller with my dad and his friend in some big 4 wheel drive (i wasnt driving)
if you've ever taken mt buller road, you know how narrow it is
anyway, on the way down we can hear a bus roaring down. no biggie, pass them all the time.
but as we were passing the bus, this dog size animal jumped out on the road
bus would've been going about 75. animal hits corner of bus.
animal explodes all over the front windshield
the smell.... THE SMELL...

I have been banned by my parents from driving up mt. Buller. Apparently it's to dangerous for someone on their red p's.

it's very dangerous. the last time we came down the mountain, a car going up and fallen off and gone down the embankment. traffic was banked up all the way to the top because it there was only one lane, and we were relying on people to be kind and let traffic through.
took 3 hours to get down the mountain, and then one hour to mansfield.

You think everything is depressing, think how many great artists sat alone drinking till they passed out. It is a stupid restriction people have on what we can do, like many other social stigmas. These things are only problems because people think if you do one, you must do the other, more worrisome activity with which it is associated. Fuck that, I know what I do and I do unhealthy things while remaining healthy. More than can be said for people who stuff their faces with sugar.

I wish I was sophisticated enough to drink wine, dunno where to start, and friends don't drink wine so I drink coffee alone in my room instead :s
Wine's apparent sophistication just comes from it's prevalence on the Roman Empire. Everything of the old time is seen as amazing and sophisticated, Latin being no better a language than anything else is revered as the language of intellects. Wine is simply an extension of that. It holds nothing no more value than what we place in it.
Least it tastes better than most beer I drank
beer is 100% better than wine. how can you say otherwise
