I see, I'm making big choices how my life is going
I just like the idea man, free education, be able to serve my country.
I just don't know what to do, and I expected some respect in that decision. It's just the fact I'm choosing my whole life here. I'm scared, kind of. I want to serve my country but it's a big choice man.

if you're not self important you're not living your own life, it's a good thing
the education isn't "free" though, it doesn't matter if you can't put a dollar figure on it, you'll still be paying for it, in some way of another

love for ones country could be better served in any government position, that includes the armed forces. I would join the army for the lifestyle and benefits, but I wouldn't look on anyone else differently if they joined for other reasons.

There are other things you can do that support the country than be in the army. Hell, supporting the army by being support personnel is supporting them better than being a soldier does.
Volunteer something, work in a government department, get politically involved, they all work just the same. We don't need a big army and it's not helping much by being forced into it by twats wanting to join up.

The peacekeeping in East Timor means we get control of the gas fields between our countries (otherwise we pull out and they're fucked), which sell to China for LODES EMONE.
