tl;dr
This seems like a movie, things play out all too well for the narrator.
If it's actually real, there needs to be a movie about it.
If you think about it, it's insane how if the Narrator never had shown Van some sort of kindness he would have been dead. Fact or fiction this was a great read.
God damn the ending was brilliantly executed on The Man's part
Man I don't even care if the story is real or not, it's one of the best stories I've read in a long time.
I love how people are going on about how this story is better than books they're read. While this is well-written, short stories that are well-written are almost always going to be more captivating and riveting than some random 200-paged book.
Or you guys just need to get better about picking books.

I never found a source I just read it from another forum who had said they had seen it before. The source seems to be unknown from the other site but I would really like to hear a source or more stories like this. I found it odd that he had such a profound vocabulary.

I remember reading this a long time ago, good read
i remember listening to a rap song about some teenager who dealt drugs. The song goes on to say about how he wanted to join a gang and to do so he had to rape someone. So they wait for a victim at night and they see one, they put a bag over her head and drag her to the roof. He breaks her jaw because she is screaming, then they all take turns raping her. He then has to kill her after giving her a good beating so he takes the bag off her head to see that it is his mother who he had raped and beaten, he jumps off the roof and kills himself, the other guys kill her. I hate rap music but this seemed interesting, apparently its a true story but i dont really think so.
