My friend bought a caravan in terrible shape last year, plan was to strip the insides and clean out the mold and stuff. Plans change though.. [/t] :v:
He didn't have an engine to deal with. Getting the propane system running again is one thing but getting a Ford engine and auto transmission that's been sitting for at least 15 years is another. I'm going to go look at another one that just went up for sale down the street.
it's retarded looking and that's why i like it
And that's how I felt about my VW Passat "35i" [sp]not my car though, but except for wheels and foglights, then it's identical[/sp]
Decided to buy a new dashcam after my NextBase 402G shit the bed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSTpumNOiHQ Records pretty decent quality and the package included two cameras, one in front and one in the rear. Works perfectly well and there's this cool app where you can update the firmware and view recordings. Anyone else here have it? It's called the Blackvue DR650GW 2ch.
How much did it cost? and is the rear camera just a standard composite video signal one? Because I'm also pondering about installing a rear-view camera, but having 2 cameras in the rear when a single one can do the job feels redundant and silly.
And that's how I felt about my VW Passat "35i" [sp]not my car though, but except for wheels and foglights, then it's identical[/sp]
That's shit is ugly.
That's shit is ugly.
It's as ugly as it's aerodynamic :v: The facelifted version only retained mileage figures because they had newer and more efficient engines, that's how aerodynamic it is. But I'm also a sucker for pre-facelift Ford Sierra's, so there's a theme in my tastes.
Well fuck, I'll probably have to bite the bullet and buy a welder then, since I'm only able to bring parts to work to weld right now.
Always have an air gun ready when you weld on a car. The stuff on the inside of every panel can catch fire so you want to cool it down for each cm of weld you apply.
you have no idea how much fire happened when I welded the floor on my beetle.
you have no idea how much fire happened when I welded the floor on my beetle.
I think I do. I've welded a piece of shit BMW, remember? :v: Well I kinda still am.
Always have an air gun ready when you weld on a car. The stuff on the inside of every panel can catch fire so you want to cool it down for each cm of weld you apply.
I can confirm this, almost set fire to a VW T4 transporter 5 times when I was welding in new sheet-metal, in the back of the van. Undecoating is surprisingly flammable. Also the 'scope creep' of the rust work, originally just a few holes ended up being replacing 1/4th of the floor with new metal, fun :v:
Scope creep .. Well I see a little bubble I guess I had better tackle.. ..
That's why you weld using TIG on a low amperage or pulsed.
I have stick and oxy fuel. stuff is gonna catch fire sometimes
Argon mix mig 4 days Until your cylinder dies
nah man oxy fuel is where it's at [editline]2nd June 2016[/editline] there's nothing like lighting your cigarette with your welder
I can overtake just fine tyvm [editline]1st June 2016[/editline] Probably my 3.55 rear end though
I've always kinda wondered how a Retired Police Vic would fare against the Gen 1 Charger LX platform's SXT AWD. They have similar-ish horse power and gearing is about the same (I mean, we can exclude the AWD's 5th gear since it's practically useless for most people, honestly). Granted, I think the Charger's got a taller rear end and shorter gears than the Vic, so it'd be interesting.

I love ARC. I just love how it just doesn't care about anything you fucking do with it. Paint? No prob. Rust? Nah don't worry about that. Powercoat? Eh Turn me up a little higher to get started but your be fine. That is why ARC is my go to rig for quick and good repairs that look just as good as both MIG and TIG when done properly. And it penetrates nicely.

Always clean your welding surfaces if you can.
My friend bought some Spoon wiper blades for his EK9. The text on the box was amazing.

If it's possible to be in love with a car [sp]and not in that fucked up mechaphile way[/sp], I am
god I love those Camaros, they're so bad but they're so good
god I love those Camaros, they're so bad but they're so good
I have a couple albums of it here and here if you're interested. When I got the Camaro, I went from driving a '94 GMC 1500 to it, so it felt tiny and light and nimble and such, but now that I have the MR2, the Camaro feels like a tank :v:. [editline]3rd June 2016[/editline] But going between the 350 in the Camaro and the 1.6l in the MR2 feels so weird. One's got dat torque, one's got dem RPMs.
aaa I nearly bought an IROC but I was really nervous about the early emissions control stuff so I didn't and I've regretted it ever since. also it had t-tops so it was leaky and the interior was ruined but shitty interior doesn't bother me that much, it's not like the factory interior in those is much prettier :v:

Plus the 4-speed is a bonus, seems really hard to find a first-year thirdgen (1982) with one.

I strongly considered just putting a strap around it and hope for the best, but I ended up passing on it. I would've just torn it all down and built a trailer though.

You sit so low down in a Pontiac Firebird even people in smart cars look down on you.

Just through some Pirellis on the front and some Super sports on the rear of the deuce for a night of racing on the 9th, should be a good time.
