My legs are just a little bit pale in comparison to my car. If I'm sitting or walking around, I'm fine. But standing up and standing still, the muscles tighten up and it's like when you lose the feeling in your leg and then it comes back, but about 10x as painful. I won't post pics, because nobody wants to see my legs.
How white are you? I spent the entire day in the sun and am not even close to that
He has the same problem I do - white as can be. My third born child, he is the first of my clan to be able to experience the daylight as his genes are a mix of super pale white, and black, so he is the first daywalker. When he is old enough I will be able to ask him what the beach is like. I have only heard stories...
Lmfao! To quote a friend from a car show last weekend when I walked up; "Whoah, holy shit I think I'm gonna have to put my sunglasses back on."
I like the blacked out/murdered out look on Darts. Out of your options I think plum crazy is the best, it's a classic Mopar color and will make the lines pop. If you wanna change the look I wouldn't bother with turbine bronze. This looks sinister as hell, but I dunno if the turbo slant makes the right sound for that look.
Murder black is great, on a drag racing car like that. It is evil in its own right, but I'm not going for evil. You also have to remember on a 4 door dart, it will just look kind of like a limo or something. The two tones hide the appearance of the extra door in a way. Black will accent its existance. One of the things happening before paint is the rear skirts are getting cut to allow the rubber to extend out, and the bumpers may likely be painted as they are in this picture, but body color. The chrome is junk on both bumpers with rust pits and such.
Good point about 2dr/4dr. If you do plum crazy I wouldn't paint the bumpers body color, I'd get them re-chromed decently. Same for blue/white. The chrome will help break up those strong colors. I have a fetish for plum crazy but on reflection I think blue/white would suit the Dart better. Seems to me that plum crazy works best on cars with softer lines like the Cuda and Challenger while the Dart is very squarish.
Two two black and silver, with a red separating line [thumb]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/7d/0d/f1/7d0df1c84c43082d411f762273f3bdae.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/45/10/3b/45103be259aad7ea71de1743afdd9535.jpg[/thumb] It works both ways. I find an extravigant bright color wont fit the car, maybe a raced out 2 door car, but as you said its like a limo/all business. Get it nice and low, black makes it look business while the silver breaks it up and adds a bit of class. Red line for sportiness and separation. [editline]19th June 2016[/editline] If you like copper/bronze, the toyota 1794 edition color is REALLY COOL! I seen it in person and fell in love immediately [thumb]http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/54483487+w660+h440+re0+cr1+ar0/2014-toyota-tundra-1794-edition-front-view-06.jpg[/thumb]

While it's a great combo- the black and silver with red hide-em line it's been done a lot. And in this area I would be branded a huge raiders fan.
Fuck you Valon. Fuck. You. And fuck the sellers. And fuck Canada. I was looking at an identical set, even down to the rubber, but the seller wanted almost $500 for them, because they still had thread (you know those Nankang tyres aren't cheap! ...), so now I'm getting the same rims, in better condition, for 1/4 of the price.

Ok, so there's basically 3 car color patterns that are clearly above all the others, The Viper, The Plum, and the Stormtrooper. I've given some thought to the stormtrooper and it is something I believe would look cool - yes, but I don't personally want it after some deciding. I know that sounds odd - basically saying while it looks good, I just don't want it on my car? Weird I know. So here's the final options. 1 or 2. As a recap, 1. Viper GTS Blue with a white top (this is my favorite so far but still deciding) VOTE AGREE The exact colors: Ford Performance Bright White: Viper GTS Blue: 2. Plum Crazy and Black VOTE DISAGREE The Exact colors: Jet Black Gloss: Plum Crazy Metallic: I would like to decide for good by tonight and get them ordered. This will help sway my decision. Oh sweet top of the page. Perfect for this.
If you're going to go plum crazy, go with extra metallic. I seen a duster with it done and it really pops! The stock plum crazy looks too flat imo. My vote is for purple Now for two tone here are some alternative ideas i seen while trying to find the plum crazy [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsh6jbmdok.jpeg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps92xkbmd0.jpeg[/thumb] Now a third alternative that I thinl you'd be able to pull off is a military/airforce themed paint job [thumb]http://i856.photobucket.com/albums/ab121/bBoxy319/bBOX/SlammedSociety-Fuji-018a.jpg[/thumb]
Speaking of military themed paint jobs, I saw this guy at the autocross this weekend.
How do you get involved in autocross? Do I have to like join a club and pay fees? Do any of you guys do autocross or race around Orlando?
Sally I really do like the plum crazy purple... and purple is my favorite color, but I keep leaning towards blue. Like I think it would look really sexy. I'm still torn though.
On the bright side, I've just inherited a '73 911 Targa. On the not so bright side it hasn't been started in about a decade. Should be a fun summer project.
Helped a buddy do a low dollar budget coilover setup on his Integra today. He was looking at some shitty ebay $375 one piece coilovers which absolutely used some random ass generic $5 shock insert. Instead I went as low dollar as possible and I'd focus on keeping proper geometry and not compromising the suspension. For $230 he's running what I assume to be 350f/250r springs from $50 ebay coilover sleeves on some $180 shortened Truhart "sport shocks" which crazily come with nice poly bumpstops and their selling point is that they use NOK seals instead of some china junk. So instead of ruining the whole setup and going dirt nasty swag yolo low it ended up being somewhere around the same ride height as my OEM JDM Type-R springs. Springs were either slightly preloaded or almost preloaded, the bumpstop perch/shock was spaced up with washers because they stupidly put in shorter bumpstops and made the shock body shorter. So upper control arms shouldn't hit the shock towers and tires won't get carved up violently by the fender seems. Only took a picture of the rears though [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5601782/EF%20Pics/2016-06-20%2016.32.55.jpg[/t] Hopefully the shocks hold up, might end up getting a set for my Civic. His car feels really smooth and doesn't bounce even one bit. He has a torn to piss axle and OEM 230k mile tie rods so I didn't go beat on his car and see how it felt in some real corners.
Ok so I slowly dragged myself out of bed today and got started on the Mustang, nevermind the lobster back. Gutted the interior, gutted the factory wiring.. let's do this. This kit is for 1967/1968 Mustangs and it's pretty spot on. I hammered out all the stuff in the cabin today and I've been very impressed. The manual it comes with makes it super easy. Tomorrow I'll finish the trunk and the engine bay/ front of the car.. then maybe button it up? If nothing else I should have it done Wednesday I'd wager. I see the relays dangling there. Best upgrade for a classic car ever. I decided on color. It was pretty tough, but you guys'll see after it's painted.
Those fellers are actually for the tail lights. It had a triple bulb setup in there at some point (vs single bulb OEM), and word on the streets is 3x .5ohm turn signal bulbs in parallel burns up a turn signal switch (and or brake switch) in a hurry. So the relay does the heavy lifting, same idea. It's back to single bulb tails now, though. So with the new turn signal switch going in I'm not sure if I'll rewire it for the heavier amp load.
My problem with Plum Crazy is it feels like every Mopar guy does Plum Crazy. But I can't think of the last time I've seen a blue and white Dodge.
The Painless guys are awesome. I whore'd a free hamburger and a tour around their facility the day I went to hot rod power tour. I just wish they would make there products for more vehicles and be less $$$$$.
My problem with Plum Crazy is it feels like every Mopar guy does Plum Crazy. Well paints ordered and there's no going back. I guess unless I return it or something.
Looking at an '06 Outback today. It's listed for $3700, books for $3200. Here's my question; It's a used car dealership that likely has 0 maintenance records. Is it valid to talk a dealership down based on maintenance it needs, that isn't apparent? IE timing belt + water pump, a $1000 job. I also hate the tires that it has, but if they have good tread, I won't whine about it. What about if i plug in my scan tool, to find that someone recently reset the ECU and none of the sensors are set in? So if the cat is bad, it has not been run enough to set a code for it? Valid to talk them down due to taking a risk?
There's an 80's Mazda 323/GLC/Familia hatch going for sale for relatively cheap around my area. (Relatively being cars here are subject to up to 115% tax). Its the XG model which has a turbo just for extras. I plan to screw around with it, use it to tinker and mess around as I try to restore it bit by bit. I already have a daily driver so I thought it would be a nice hobby car. But I'm not sure if I can justify the $900 selling price. I bet spare parts are a rarity and there's probably no hope in squeezing more power out of the engine and zero aftermarket parts. Plus my dad would totally kill me as we no longer have any space to park at home. But then I want it so bad. It would be really nice to turn this into this

Guys guys guys guys After 1½ years of it being off the road, it's back! [t]http://i.imgur.com/jurtVcB.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/3zcnt92.jpg[/t] Still has slight injection pump issues (can't really rev above 3400 rpm at anything but full throttle) and the new top speed is 70 km/h, but it drives! haha. It's going to a mechanical injection pump specialist really soon, but the most important thing is that runs and drives!
Awesome! 2.8 six-in-line?
