I did another dumb and left my door popped for two days. My battery died and my neighbor had to give me a jump. I hope I didn't run it completely flat and a couple days of driving'll sort it out...

Put it on an actual charger and you'll be okay, alternators don't really charge the battery that well unless you have some huge one and plan to drive it for a long distance but even then all you're doing is making it really hot.
I reckon this is good enough?

Or should I pick up something with more current?

Normally I'd check Harbor freight first, but their ratings and prices aren't really filling me with confidence.
the slower you charge it after it going flat, the less damage you do to the battery. If I leave something to get really dead, I usually like to stick it on my 2 amp battery tender for a day or two.

From what I understand, pretty much all cheap chargers are the same. The more expensive chargers have the ability to better regulate, charge and recondition a battery as well as being able to charge AGM and more fancy batteries which can be damaged by using a conventional charger. Good chargers aren't cheap unfortunately, you might be able to find something good for a good deal but it probably won't be local. I'd go with whatever seems like the best bang for you buck and try to buy cheap if you don't plan to use it often.
s5 active usually fetches a premium, get an s5 with lifeproof, your life will be much better and your phone will be stronger
The prices aren't too far off.
I'd like an S5 active with MyBat case. I'd trust MyBat over Lifeproof from experience.
I want to throw my air compressor off the tallest object I can find and watch it come apart or maybe chain it to the back of a buddy's truck and drag it for a few miles.
It takes over an hour to blow out 3 computers with it and it can't even move a 195/55/15 tire from "28psi" to "38psi" without needing to rebuild pressure. Also does anyone have recommendations on a tire pressure gauge which doesn't suck since I seem to have about 4 which all read between 22psi and 30psi. All I wanted was 32psi in the fronts and 34 in the rear. Instead I left and got food while it filled up and then checked each tire about 5 times with 3 different gauges which read differently pretty much each time.
I can't wait to switch to the other garage with all the glorious 240v and deep enough to fit both my cars with a foot to spare length wise because this garbage compressor is getting tossed.

The road outside my work flooded out today and 2 suckers tried to drive through it, no hail fortunately
Some street was also flooded yesterday, someone tried to pass but flooded engine, removed my shoes and socks and pusher her car out, while getting slaughter by hailstorm, 2 week ago street was flooded too. Weather is insane this year.
I was doing some reading and it looks like it's possible to register my minibike if I get all the lights and mirrors and shit. I looked on Amazon and going with the most el cheapo lights I could find, it would be around 70 bucks for all of them, plus around 20 for a 9 ah battery to run them. My insurance with probably cover it if I tell them it's a motorcycle.
Oh boy so tempting. I really should wait until I put a brake on it though. Two days of riding it and I tore up the tread on my shoes.

What compressor do you have?
On a tire like that, either of the 3 gallon oilless compressors at Harbor Freight (usually $50 each) should fill it up pretty quick.
I went with the 26 gallon oilless from there and couldn't be happier with it.
Gauges, i use Slime gauges. Supposedly pretty accurate. You're supposed to have them calibrated yearly or replaced (all of them), but 99% don't do that. My Slime gauge still seems accurate after 2 years
Also, try to get the right gauge. For a manual gauge, you want your pressure to be right in the middle of its range for the best accuracy. .

No filler tho because I only have thick as fuck filler (and I instantly get parkinson the second I have a filler rod in my other hand :v:)
For the first time in its life, it can finally move some dirt

Merc's getting sold and the green beetle's getting wrecked so the plan is to only have red beetle and toyota
What do you guys think of the Subaru svx? I know they're uncommon and...not exceptionally fast, but I don't really give a shit about that. Being a flat 6 they're probably horrible to work on too, but I still like them.
Anyways, I'm gonna be going down to California for a month for work so I'm going to stack money up along with my per diem. I'm going to bank my pay for a few months and see where I'm at.

god I would rather have not known. gaskets and rings are fine, noticed when I was building it that the deck height was way wrong for the crank I have. was hoping I'd at least have 100 PSI but nope. should theoretically be getting 202 PSI with that head but the deck height is so far off that I've got like 3.6:1 compression ratio instead of the 11.5 I was going for

I like SVX's, especially with an aftermarket exhaust because they sound very exotic, almost like a Maserati.
From what I understand, pretty typical Subaru problems such a heads leaking oil, usually just needs to be tightened up, but they also have the glass automatic transmissions. I'm sure someone can add onto me or correct me.
Yeah ive heard about the transmissions too, manual swaps, or even an auto out of a later subaru, seem to be a common move.
Well I might be solving my garage problem soon enough.
But goddamn I like where I'm living currently.

Youre building a pole barn?
Gross, the city I'm going to next month was over 100 all week and humid as fuck.
God I hope the most recent rumors about the new Supra are true (and that it actually exist). The FT-1 concept and the potential look of it as a road car could be awesome. Especially with MkIV Supra badging.
Youre building a pole barn?
Pole barns are cost effective by a long shot but if your getting a slab poured it's better to just go a traditional metal building style. If the size is under a 30x50 then it's cheaper if you but the material and make all your beams. You can buy a turnkey metal frame from anywhere all you have to do is put sheets on it.
Or you can buy one of those cheap carport dillys..... I don't like them at all because they will rip to peices in a storment. Plus you can't over enginer them to handle a fully portable engine hoist to go everywhere in the shop.
My friend is buying an olds toronado in nebrasky this weekend, he found a gooseneck trailer, and were taking my truck to pick it up. So excited.

Las Vegas is a sin.
A friend of mine just bought an old Citroën SM, it's got an original Masaratti V6. Don't have any pics yet but this is how they should look.
What do yall think are my best options for a transmission? The car I need it for is a 95 Cadillac Deville, I'm thinking maybe go junk yarding or have the old one rebuilt? Anyone have any knowledge on costs or anything that might help me?
deville's use a 4t60e for the non-northstar base model lots of cars use that same transmission (however 12 different drive ratios so do some checking) they're relatively cheap to pull at a junkyard (200-400) unless you get the guy that thinks he's got gods gift to man. rebuilding one is gonna be alot more expensive then that (600+) unless you rebuild it yourself with one of the 100-200$ kits which isn't horrible but I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you've fucked with transmissions before

Even better. We're getting evicted!
My city has a couple parks that have places for park residences. My family is in such one, and the city is deciding to shut all of them down, citing upkeep and shit.
But the thing that makes me and my dad pissed is that we've offered to do so much to the house on our own dime.
We wanted to blacktop the driveway.
Denied.
Paint the house (which is out profession).
Denied.
Build a garage.
Denied.
Bunch of other things too. They've let the whole park get rundown. But the city was so shortsighted to not let us do it at the time, and are now wanting to tear it down. My house is historical, with horse barns and the like attached. We've become really attached to the place ( i remember my first shit in the place), and we'd hate to see it get eliminated for such stupid reasons.
So we're currently in the process of getting in touch with our city rep (who I happen to be friends with his son) to try and get a better explanation/plan out of the city.
But hey, the garage on the house we're looking at is 5 space 440 sqft.
