He's also contemplating getting an SRT-4. Funny thing, a few months after he got his Charger, he supercharged it at a local shop and then split his rear diff to shreds the next race he ran. A lot of times with half-shafts they will knock when moving or rotating. I've only ever had my front half-shafts go bad, so they usually knock the worst at full lock, but rear axles can pop at speed rather than as they toe out.

He rebuilt the engine, redid the brakes and a bunch of other things, but cosmetically the thing looks out of Mad Max. Mismatched colors , and the QP's are pretty rusty. This is going to be a long term project for me, so it'll probably go to a shop eventually, but i'd like to do as much as possible.

That actually looks pretty solid. Good rockers, fenders, and door. You either get a car with good quarters, or totally fucked ones because even an "okay" fender will need to be replaced. To do it properly you need an AMD full quarter panel that goes off the factory seams, you can get them for $600 I think? REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY nice quality piece pressed from the original dies. Also a trunk drop off. All you have to do is hack the old one to shit until its not there, heat the lead up on the B pillar seam, clean up the old spotwelds so that its flush, then pop the new quarter on there and re spot weld it. Their insurance called, I see their repair shop tomorrow for an estimate to get my repair check. Since the work will be done myself, I'm not worried about getting a dozen estimates to get the highest for max dosh. Just want enough money to get it going.
