I fucked up muh radiator, it doesnt hold water anymore I was driving through a pasture with a washing machine hanging out of the trunk, for rifle shootin purposes, and I thought I remembered the rock-less path from last year, but the grass was much much higher this time, and whaddya know, I hit a 2 foot tall rock that lifted my front axle off the ground and turned my radiator into a yard sprinkler. I turned it around and got it most of the way top my friends house when I ran out of water. I told friend #1 to ride my minibike back to the house and bring his car back with some water so I could get my car back there. After 10 minutes of sitting around waiting, friends #2 and #3 drove down there to see what the hell was taking so long. Turns out friend #1 was sitting on his ass, after calling friend #4 and telling him to go pull my car back, and not informing me or friends #2 or #3. So, friend #1 didnt want to get water in his $4000 90s civic so he leaves me waiting. Friend #2 brings me a 5 gallon bucket of water in his $40,000 BMW. Pretty damn easy to see who my real friends are and whos a stupid ausbergers asshat. Good thing about a crown vic though, radiators are cheap as truck stop hookers. [editline]14th August 2016[/editline] My AC condenser is pretty bent but it doesnt leak, Im hoping I wont need to get another one.
I would keep a good eye on that condenser mang. My audi when it sprung a hole would run the compressor even tho that she was dead on freon made the compressor ded as fuck running without oil. Good buy bmw guy.
Why do you people keep taking vehicles into fields that you know can't overcome obstacles. You're always going to hit something.
cus last time I had it in that field I raced my friends 4x4 truck across the pasture and beat it, then climbed a 15 foot berm and only bottomed out a little bit. I brought the minibike to scout out the rocks for my car, but the clutch started eating itself so I had my scout park it. My mistake.
Hi guys, I need some advice on motorcycles. I didn't want to make a new thread so I figured I'd just post here. tl;dr: bought motorcycle which I can't ride due to incompatible licence, afraid that by the time I do get my licence the bike will be negatively affected, seeking advice on how to keep it alive. I recently bought a Suzuki GS500F motorcycle which is most likely 6 years old. The guy I bought it from put a load of miles onto it because he used it every single day for commuting (the engine was still warm when I saw it, he used it on the day I purchased it), but he maintained it himself. The number of motorcycles in his back shed and amount of tools makes me believe he took good care of it. Anyhow, I don't have the licence capable of riding that motorcycle. I've only done the Compulsory Basic Training which allows me to ride motorcycles up to 125cc, no passengers and no riding on motorways. I have booked my theory test to be done in early September, but until I actually do all of the theory and practical tests and finally receive my licence, the bike that's currently sitting in the parking lot will most likely be negatively affected. Since I got it, I've been starting the bike up and letting it idle for about 5 minutes daily to keep that battery and engine going, but I'm afraid I might receive complaints for noise from neighbours as I live in a block of flats. The best way to keep the bike alive is to actually ride it and keep those mechanics in motion, but as stated above, I can't do so due to a lack of licence. I'm in a catch-22 here. I also don't really have where to wheel it away from houses or flats since the area here is rather populated with the aforementioned buildings. If I had a friend with a compatible licence, I'd let them ride it daily, but then again I don't know such people. Therefore, I come to you to seek advice; what could I do in order to keep the bike alive, legally? Should I seek further advice from the local police force? Should I speak to the other tenants and politely apologise for any inconvenience caused (although the noise will still be there)? Picture of the bike because I'm a sad show-off: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/cWm1hy0.jpg[/thumb]

Several of my friends in the UK store their bikes outdoors over winter in this manner with no issues. May need to juice the battery before you put it back in but it wont be a big deal. Congrats on the bike! Hopefully a bucket of soapy water will be enough to clean the rest of the bike. Thank you very much for your tips again and hopefully your new bike will arrive with no issues whatsoever. Ride safe!

If you drain the fuel system it can sit for years and be fine.
May have just sold my bike, guy said he wants it but has to check his finances so he'll get back to me Wednesday. I know the guy so I know he's not just saying thay. I just gotta hope his kid isn't born before then or this whole deal is likely down the drain.
Speaking of bikes, was scanning Craigslist for a ninja 250 and saw some guy trying to sell his bone stock, 1986 ninja 250 for $1k... In the ad he says it's been dropped on both sides, fuel tank is dented, missing lights, cracked windscreen, that the engine won't hold constant revs and will sometimes randomly die, and finally -- this is the best part -- that the bike was 'abused by hillbillies' before he got it. I sent him an offer of 300 bucks. I can't wait to see if he responds.
I want to lift a volvo for a DD
So, apparently my primary cooling fan has been dead a long time, but never an overheat problem because fuckhuge mishimoto radiator. I guess it finally got hot enough and I got a CEL for abormal coolant temps and a slight overheat. Picked up a fan from an 05 for my 02 wrx, and did my first plug splice and it works great :toot: [editline]14th August 2016[/editline] ps: burping subaru cooling systems, on turbo models, despite the high up expansion tank, FUCKING SUCKS it takes like 45 fucking minutes of scolding hot upper rad hose fondling
Found out that weird noise was the wheel bearing, again! This will be the third wheel bearing for the passenger side wheel! Firestone also has to send it to Toyota cause they don't have the tools. There is a reason I don't do my own wheel bearings...

Just checked into my hotel in California. My phone won't connect to cell service for some god damn reason. Luckily Hilton has complimentary WiFi. I've been up since 2:30am, with my plane leaving at 6am. Landed in San Jose at 7:30 and picked up a rental car from Enterprise. There was a slight misunderstanding there and they thought I had to pay a $500 deposit on the car when my company was supposed to pay for it lol I did get a free upgrade out of it though. Was supposed to get a "Chrysler 200 or similar" but ended up with a 2016 Nissan Altima instead. Pretty decent to drive actually.

I thought they had leather and shitwile the altima had...... plastic.
a chrysler 200 is a dart with a chrysler badge. which is to say it's basically a base model neon updated for 2013 [editline]15th August 2016[/editline] nissan altima v6 models can actually be super nice, a buddy of mine has one and it's got leather and is surprisingly peppy for a cheap 4 door thing
Its not the v6, but it is quite nice
And it is also super garish in it's exterior styling! New cars take the cake again.
Chem Dipped [t]http://imgur.com/qeVaG5V.jpg[/t] Pressure Cooked [t]http://i.imgur.com/4b8AcfY.jpg[/t] Notice the chemp dipped is basically like polished metal while the pressure cooked one has a dull dark gray color.

Boring as hell, featureless, soulless, and generic.
Also California drivers are assholes. Everyone speeds too, even cops lol

Anyone know where I can get / how I can make an all metal dipstick for my 2000 Sentra? Literally half the time I go to pull the dipstick out, it snaps because the plastic has been made brittle by the heat of the engine. I need this to stop being a thing.

Truck is back, Subaru is off to the mechanics [T]http://i.imgur.com/3cFTUrW.jpg[/t]
I've never had a hood ornament last that long, even if it is a cheap truck. I don't think people are even stealing them, I think they're snapping them off for fun
machine shops r good. aftermarket is good tooo.
Do I just kind of walk up and say "how do I make this metal"? I've never been to one before.
