My hobbies are bodybuilding/the gym, cars, biking, and I'd like to get into long range shooting. I drift between bodybuilding and cars/mechanics, its very hard to do both so I usually do one more than the other for a while and then switch back. Sometimes I get frustrated with bodybuilding so I go back to cars and it gives me a quiet cognitive outlet whereas bodybuilding fills the loud physical & social needs. They are also both really expensive hobbies to do properly... If I could give you an idea clutch, perhaps try refurbing things... stuff like old electrical appliances or radios? Actually, a radio would be right up your alley! I'm just thinking of something that would allow you to branch out on your skills with electrical. Or take up a physcial hobby, gym, rockclimbing, biking (but set a goal), stuff like that. On another note, I pulled the carpet out of my dodge, hosed it off, and painted it black with Duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint (shits awesome). The backstory is after I drove home from work up north I forgot a 4L jug of milk in the back seat... well it got all stinky and leaked onto the back seat and the whole truck reaked! I had a leather back seat already, so I figured I may as well go get a front seat to swap in, and since they're out I'll redo the carpet! Also swapped in some Lightning Audio L65's in the back and its night and day! [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsjqpwflx7.jpeg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsqjze6qlu.jpeg[/thumb] I think I'll throw some new 6x9's in the front, any recomendations?
Looks really nice, but I'd prefer the cloth seats over the leather ones simply because of the damage. They look cleaner imo
Nothing worse than sitting in a hot car with black upholstry while wearing shorts.
Sitting on hot leather seats with no shorts is worse I'm pretty sure.
So I was looking for a winter pickup and I found this: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/cto/5717557192.html Should I? [editline]21st August 2016[/editline] Holy crap that exact listing was featured on Barnfinds [editline]21st August 2016[/editline] I think I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna stop in the bank tomorrow methinks.
Sitting on hot leather seats with no shorts is worse I'm pretty sure.
I've got black cloth and black plastic on the interrior of my car (Inverse Earnhardt style), and it is miserable. But this I'll agree with you on, and is why I've never understood leather as a luxury item.
Black car, black plastic, black leather, no garage, no AC. Get on my level

But this I'll agree with you on, and is why I've never understood leather as a luxury item.
Leather on newer cars is fine by me, but the leather used on like pre 2010 cars in general was horrible. My grandpa's Porsche and CTS have cooling seats though, they're nice.
Looks really nice, but I'd prefer the cloth seats over the leather ones simply because of the damage. These are the nicest seats I could hunt down, for 18 years old and in a pickup truck its really hard to find an unripped set. Leather is a lot easier to get in and out of and clean, and it looks much better inside with the leather. They are also both dual power and heated so its a plus in Canada. The truck has 418000km on it so I figure she don't look half bad as is, still have a few more things to do inside before I'd call it finished!

Im a little late for the hobby discussion, but aside from fixing my constantly breaking fleet of reasonably cool garbage, i like to adopt more garbage into the fleet. Ressurect the old minibike, buy a pile of shit motorcycle and fix it up, ect. Lately ive been trying to remember what i missed in electronics class as i try to make cool shit with my raspberry pi and a couple ham radios. I just bought a lot of used laptop batteries to harvest the cells and make battery packs for all my lead acid powered small garbage. I used to play puter games more, and i probably will again for a while with the new wow xpack. I consider myself a wizard of wirecrimps, an angle iron cowboy, booger weld bad guy, beer drinker, wrench turner, propane torch proficient, harbinger of old hondas, carburator cleric, armchair anarchist, scraper of grime, filler of leaked fluids, failed emissions test poster child, truck camper gypsy duke, disguised as a mild mannered server admin by day, sweaty basement dweller by night, ect. I used to detest the animu, but i have seen the light. Anyways currently im just bored chillin in my camper of the way back from the black hills, pic included.
AC and tinted windows works for me with leather
Haha my brother had a black 95 mustang GT with black leather seats and no AC CAUSE HP AND TURBOS! that was fucking murder in the summer in GA
How. I actually can't understand.
driving is misery but when you step out of the vehicle all of a sudden it feels better than sex so everything is great
driving is misery but when you step out of the vehicle all of a sudden it feels better than sex so everything is great
I step into my air conditioned vehicle from this 99 high humidity hell and everything feels like sex. Though it hasn't been very bad since I got back to the states.
Can't you just pull a fuse or something to kill the heater when you don't need it?
you can turn the fan off all you want but hot air still comes out of the vents. don't really know what the deal is it only recently started doing it and I haven't had the time to diagnose the problem yet

Hi all, Ive possibly posted a little about my car here in the past. It's a vz sv6 Holden Commodore and I'm "doing it up" (new rims and fixing the paint) over the next few months. Once that's sorted I want to save for a wrx/wrx sti impreza as a weekender -likely between 1998-2004. there anything I should know about them to look out for? (Good or bad haha)
I always thought this was a good image to look at. But its from 4chan so.. [t]https://i.imgur.com/W8uq0Pn.jpg[/t]
/o/'s sticky is so outdated, I wouldn't use this at all. A lot of these cars have all jumped in price and availability
Anyone remember how to log into that big giant library of car shit? this thing http://search.ebscohost.com/
Guess what I got! I personally wouldn't get aftermarket wheels if that's there you were going. I don't know everything about the gc8 subes but just expect every model you come across to have been thrashed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be worth buying though! Check for Timing belt and pulley replacement history, I've worked on cars have had T-belt replaced, only for one of the idlers to fail. The gearboxes tend to be pretty weak in the non-sti examples from what I hear also. The other members here will probably have more info.

If I wasnt on mobile Id attach an image better but heres a link I got quickly from google haha http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/attachments/vt-vx-holden-commodore-1997-2002/132886d1327303768-wheels-vx-calais-6.jpg And yeah searching for a car like that is basically a matter of finding which one for sale is the least thrashed. I'd prefer one that's done less than 200,000ks but we'll see how I go. Realistically I'll likely get it for my 21st in Feb but I want to look into any potential issues with them early, cheers :) (Nice ride btw if thats yours and not just an example of the rims)
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21270004/Pic%27s%20%28clean%29/Cars/My%20eclipse/resized/_DSC0208.jpg[/t] DSM got its first wash in about 5 years, clear has deteriorated and hazed, paint has faded and feels like sandpaper, but it's registered after 7 years of sitting and gets driven straight to the shop[sp]my work[/sp]tomorrow.
We need more DSM photos, stat.
