(Nice ride btw if thats yours and not just an example of the rims)
Well it's super similar to what I used to drive (I kept hubcaps over my wheels for max granny spec), I would like to get another black VX someday though.

Results of a few photos a local photog took of my car on Sunday (we had a car club meet and he took photos of all of our cars). That fucking feel when you have to pay a fine for a bullshit reason and you won't be able to spend a single fucking cent for the next 2 months. Fucking pieces of shit. [editline]23rd August 2016[/editline] 70% of my monthly income for an administration mistake.
Girlfriend thought she was so pro at pouring oil into the Civic that she didn't need a funnel, instead poured it all over the valve cover and down the block getting less inside the motor than outside. Had to help her clean it all up and show her the mess she's made doing that before. She got all stressed out since it was one of those I told you so moments and didn't put the oil cap back on. I couldn't find my engine degreaser so I figured Simple Green and car wash soap would make some good quick stuff, instead it etched the shit out of my paint and ruined my valve cover which wasn't that bad before. Guess I'm forever sticking to soap from now on, already ruined everything I own with these shitty chemicals. Turns out my brand new one with it's super fancy gasket fucking lets in moisture even more! This was really annoying since I couldn't move it in my driveway. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5601782/EF%20Pics/2016-08-22%2022.26.46.jpg[/t] Then some piece of shit hit the car at some point when my girlfriend was at work yesterday I guess. I don't think I've ever used a funnel for anything but tranny fluid. a little bit of oil in your engine bay just prevents rust anyway. you should see the smoke that spilling oil on your headers makes too
I almost always use a funnel because the fill/dipstick tube is up by the throttle body and intake manifold. However, I once used a funnel with a strainer to catch dirt I guess, and I was topping it off in the dark, didn't see that I was overfilling the funnel, and promtly spilled oil all over the engine... Smelled real nice when it got up to temp.
I like my engine bays clean, while my Integra only just barely seeps from the oil pan gasket my Civic leaks from the front main, oil pan, drain bolt, breather box seal, pcv on the breather box, valve cover gasket all around, cam seal, and the trans may leak from the shifter shaft. It doesn't drip though, it's good and leaks all over itself instead of my driveway. I'd also rather keep the oil inside the motor since most of it has been replaced by the oil change anyways. :v:
Bad connection
If my tachometer sometimes stops working while the speedo works perfectly all the time what's the most probable cause of that? Sometimes hitting the dash will make it work again but other times you just have to wait until it comes back to life. It's an '04 a3
Get a VCDS cabble off ebay or some shit or use a OBD scanntool and see if the engine rpms are droping to 0 when the dash also says 0. I've seen plenty of dash LCD's go out on these audis but never their gauges.
The speedometer and tachometer on my 03 Tacoma stick at 0 sometimes. I took the plastic lens off my instrument cluster so I can just poke them and they spring right to where they belong. Probably should look into fixing it. Buuuuuut my finger works too so until I have to I'm probably not gonna do anything about it.
Finally got around to replacing the headlight modules on my Eclipse. The brights still do not work. On the driver side the cable for the high beam has come out of its port and I can't get it to go back in, but that doesn't explain why the passenger side high beam won't light. The cables are fine, the fuses are fine, and the switch is fine. I would assume the bulbs are dead except this is the same thing the old modules were doing and these are all brand new.
While were on the topic of engine bay cleaning I made an attempt to clean up my civic. Its not perfect but for my first time doing it I think it looks decent. [t]http://i.imgur.com/DipygZI.jpg[/t]
So I'm trying to buy my first car and I absolutely have no idea what I'm doing. Currently I am active duty military and I live on-post. I'm looking for a used car, preferably a sedan, to get me to and from work and the surrounding areas outside of the base. My price range is somewhere between $4k - 5k.
03-09 Mazda 3s can be had within that range or lower, get high 20s, low 30s fuel economy. The back seat is kinda cramped, though.
The biggest pain I have about manual transmissions is when you add more gear oil. can't fucking funnel down there. You gotta sticks a tube in, route it up past the engine and jam the other end into the cone tip of the bottle and squeeze like a bitch until either you've emptied the bottle or you fill it completely.
So, I'm kind of thinking it might be new car time soon, guys. I'm looking to pay my car off early in my next payment, and I don't really know what I want. I'm torn between getting another AWD sedan that I can use on my paper route or a Mid/Full-sized truck. I also contemplated something more in between with like a Jeep Cherokee/Wrangler, but my area doesn't seem to want to give them up. I can't find a single early 2000s Jeep of any kind with less than 200k for less than $15k, and it's ridiculous. Any recommendations? Right now I'm just at the go test drive and see what I like, since I don't really have any true requirements. Budget wise I'm looking about $15k top end and preferably around 50 to 90k miles top end if I can help it.
Jeeps for some stupid reason don't lose their value, even when they are worn the fuck out. Find an early Tracker. The parts are interchangeable and they're often really cheap.

Anyone here driven a Jeep Renegade? My boyfriend and I were thinking of getting one since Uber doesn't accept Crown Victorias(!!!!!), I want a tiny SUV, and I quite like the looks of it. I'm looking at the base model 1.6 turbo with a manual and 4x4 with a handful of options. It'd be bought new, since manual cars don't exist here unless you order them.

I'd probably go with like a used Element or a newer Focus or something. Oh those Subaru Crosstrek XV's look pretty damn nice and I've seen them absolutely everywhere in Oregon and Colorado when I was there. That being said, reviewers generally do like them.
My co workers have a jeep patriot rental car and its awful. I know its not a renegade, but its a fwd, 4cyl jeep and its just terrible. Jeep seems to hate back seat passengers too. The seats aren't uncomfortable, but there isn't much room and the back doors are way too small. [editline]23rd August 2016[/editline] My rental altima feels like a luxury car in comparison
Nothing is bad as the fucking Liberty. My dad had 2 of those as a company car, never again. He got an Outback 2 years after those and I was so happy.
finally put cb on

They're not a Patriot or Liberty piece of shit thing that could never stand up to the former XJ Cherokees.
truck wouldn't shift into reverse earlier, guess it might be time for some tranny fluid
