I really like your spare tire swing.
thx, its real simple but pretty beefy, it's designed to hold up to a 42" tire, but right now I've got 35's. I may bump up to 37s or even 40s down the road depending on how much dosh I have. Regardless any more stuff will probably be 3+ years out.
I've been thinking about finding a lift kit/rims/tires for my F-150, but the FX4 suspension is so sweet and I don't want to mess it up....
Guys, I am wondering if I should get a year 2000 5 door Hyundai Galloper. Does anyone has any idea what are the cons of this vehicle?

Its bolted to the rear to the body!?! I would almost assume that the weight of a giant 40 would make it pull out of the sheet metal. I looked at more manufactures of thoes dillys and they almost all look like they go into rear door or panels. Except afew that do it into the bumper.... What kind of freaking sheet metal is back there?!!? Fuken 1/8" !?!

Not even worth $1200
I kinda like them because they're not a cheap Jeep, they're a beefed up Fiat AWD small SUV thing.
Anyone here driven a Jeep Renegade? It'd be bought new, since manual cars don't exist here unless you order them.
Eeuuugh, me and my friends took a test drive in one a few months ago. It was really roomy and comfy inside, but everything seemed superficial and cheap. Gutless as an empty box of mike n ikes too.

Base model ones are boring, but function well it seems. I've talked to the owners, and they seem to love them though, so there's that. Reviewers do as well. I'm supposed to hate the F in FCA as a mopar guy, but if I was looking for a babby SUV, I'd go for it. If you're getting it new, most chrysler dealers offer excellent warranty. Dunno if you're going to need it, they seem to be reliable by most accounts, but it never hurts to have.

Bought an '06 Mitsubishi Eclipse for 100 bucks today. Apparently the car just stopped starting one day, so the guy left it there and bought a new car. I'm thinking it's the starter that's gone bad, so if i'm lucky i'll basically have gotten a decent car up and running and registered for like 300-400 bucks. It's a manual too, good way to learn how to drive one of those :p
2004 Audi Allroad, 2.7 V6, Twin Turbo. I've got a number of things done to it. Only issue is it being a god damn automatic, the EYK transmission is absolute garbage. Plan on doing a 6 speed manual swap, $2500 for the kit + a fresh 01E. Looking forward to that down the line. Then there's brackets for the tire carrier thats bolted through the tub of the body, and through the 3/16" steel. It's pretty damn strong when all is said and done. ive had my tire on there and i've jumped on the spare plenty and it's not going anywhere. I also had someone back into the back of it in the parking lot. Moving up to 37's is possible, but not recommended. The rear will most likely be "fine", but the front needs help. Once you move from 35's to 37's it's a whole new ball game. axles should ideally be swapped for 60's, then you need to go with ram assist steering, new gearing, brakes need to be upgrades, and then you have the power issues with this poor v6. You have things that just build on eachother once you reach that point, where if you get x, then you need y, and if you get y then you need z, etc. That's why it'll be a while before anything else happens really.

I bought rear ended allroad back in the day yanked out the 2.7 and 01e with most interior bits for only 1,800$ then resold it to somone up in oklahoma as a shell for 600$. If you could possibly go the donor car route I would highly suggest it as you can physicaly SEE were everything came from / will go on your car. Plus you get more bits for cheap. Also it look like you adjusted your rideheight. Nice. Onlythign I can suggest on these cars is litterly....go fast. Because god damn they can do it so well and not give a single fuck. Mine only broke when going slow. :v: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1031910/Canon%20T3i/IMG_4304.jpg[/t]
I checked the low pressure loop for my A/C compressor today, it was well over 110 psi before I even charged it. :wow:
I'm so impatient. Picking up the car tomorrow, but I already want to start making it perfect :(

Takes a lot of the headache out with ripping things out as well as parting out a second car. It's more of a space/budget issue with me being a college kid. As far as the ride height, it has the Arnott air ride system all the way around, but it's absolute rubbish. I just ordered the A6 coil spring conversion kit with sport springs, I'm worried more about keeping it tight around the turns more than the stance. Plan on upgrading the sway bars next. With the few decent things I have done to it, it hauls absolute ass. I'm more concerned with managing/handling the weight of the car at this point. Chassis upgrades, bigger brakes, weight reduction, etc. Have taken the car 140MPH+ though, absolutely love it.
Does anybody know if a Nissan Pathfinder's Arb Bullbar could fit on my SUV? I'm thinking of getting rid of the old bumper since it's so worn out and dented and I don't think I can order a custom one for a car this old. I want to turn this into a nice off-roader.
I've had these stupid FC RX7 panels since March or so. I finally, finally glassed them last week, then put off starting body work until today. Thank goodness he only wants them wrapped and not painted, otherwise I don't know if they'd ever get done, lol. My arms are real itchy now, as it always goes. The difference? The vehicles actually change :v: [editline]24th August 2016[/editline] I think I'm just addicted to the before and after aspect and ambition as to "what it could be with a little TLC 🎶" [editline]24th August 2016[/editline] @MisterLANCE I had a TJ before that I wanted to turn into a crawler, the further I read into what you have to do, the less I wanted the jeep. Pretty well have to throw everything out to get a decent rig. It was actually cheaper to buy someones already finished rig and go through it than build up one from the start. As you were saying, it adds up quick!!
Yeah they're great fun to do small things with, but if you want to go big, you're basically hacking everything up except the tub. And even then sometimes you gotta cut away at the tub... [t]http://i.imgur.com/UKAJgwZ.jpg[/t] It hurt me deep down inside to do this to the body. Luckily it gets easier after the first hole, and I'm happy with how it turned out in the end.
Hmmmm 150 dollar E36 320i. Runs n drives. Interior + front bumper parts are sold. If the chassis is in good shape I'll pick it up as base for a new racecar.
I don't care about going fast, I'm talking about reliability issues etc. if it can pull 7 passengers then I'm on it.
They struggle going uphill with a empty trailer, if you put 7 passengers in it it might struggle downhill. The one I know about hasn't had any big things wrong with it I think, but it's also used as basically a farm vehicle, so if it runs and drives it's good.

Finished painting Dart last week. Got the stripes on the day after. It's nothing special, we didn't change the color, just reprimed and painted it with paint that won't turn pink in a year. Touched up a few spots on the body that were eaten through, and a bunch of little things that were annoying the shit out of me and my father when we looked at it. Don't have any pictures except for a few after we finished painting, but it did come a long way for us. [t]http://i.imgur.com/OOYH67j.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/aTH4trq.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/1pIuH36.jpg[/t] Excited to be able to drive it again. Had to park it for a bit when gas got expensive, and haven't been able to drive it for a while even though it has been cheap. Gonna change, now, though. I don't care if it's 200 degrees outside. Next step is tailpipes and mufflers, $350 all around for them, I think. Then seat covers, I don't even want to think about that. Dad wants a set of Cragars for it, but I really like the wheels on it. It won't win any awards, but I'm not afraid to drive it, which is always good. Still turns heads :v: Red muscle always does.
Those wheels look great. If you want spoked wheels, go with classic American Racing wheels, not Cragars.
I don't want anything, really. My father likes them, but doesn't have anything to put them on. His Cordoba... no. If we put them on the Fury we'd look like Cholos. His 'Cuda has to stay all original. My car is the only one it'll work on. I might put them on considering he spent a lot of time and money himself on the car since we've had it. They might grow on me.
