Got a new car to drive while the Slaab is getting the 5 speed put in. 2003 legacy L wagon. It's got the dual moonroof and a 5 speed.
Here's how it works on 73-87 AC Delco radios; http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=447435 This radio has an off board amp and, rather than wiring into the tape deck, normally you wire a sitchable aux into the amp. Unfortunately, the only audio improvement is by better quality input and getting rid of signal issues your radio would normally have. It might be your best bet, unless you find an aftermarket you like. [editline]30th January 2016[/editline] Challengers weigh about as much as my truck, with the added weight of my brush guard, tool box, hitch, all fluids full, and me in it. It amazes me how heavy vehicles are lately. My pickup weighed 4500lbs stock, it's maybe 4600 with all I have added.
I havent weighed my truck with the camper on yet, but my best guess is at least 7000lbs. Probably more. [editline]30th January 2016[/editline] but DAT TERK
My Chrysler is 4332lbs. My toyota 4runner is 4530lbs. Holy crap I was not expecting the Toyota to wiegh more than a 50 year old full sized 4 door american car.
Incoming could-see-this-coming-a-mile-away [sp]My Miata NA weighs in the realm of 2,150lbs[/sp] :smug:
My Civic weighs 2040 :v: Integra is 2680.
My XJ is somewhere in the area of 4200 pounds unloaded, the american safety pillow shit adds at least 600 pounds, somehow it still gets about 20mpg with it's Lucas EFI Actually while i'm here, i been thinking about names for it, wondering which people like more. Right now it's a toss up between King Bee, since it's such a unique color, or just Hobbes, since it's a big well mannered cat [T]https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5629/23277108803_2b29b4ca6c_k.jpg[/T] Gonna take the name i finally settle on and make a little nameplate to bolt onto the grille, probably PRR style if it works well
Hobbes. Not Biased or anything.
My super redneck friend just bought an old civic hatch with a 4 speed for 100$. I believe the plan is to slather it with honda emblems, stick a hater pipe out the hood, and make fun of ricers to his heart's content.
My E36 racer weighs in at about 2400~ last time we weighed. It's a lot less now. Hoping about 2200.
My Volvo weighs ~2800 lbs. Hopefully with a little bit of a diet I can get it down to ~2400. Also its rwd with bald off brand tires and I made it up a hill that a 4runner couldn't. Rwd is not good or bad in the snow, just fun.
Does anyone here run a water/meth injection system?
Does anyone here run a water/meth injection system?
I know a group of people who run skylines with that. All I know is they keep blowing apart their engines and curbing their car all over the place.
Does anyone here run a water/meth injection system?
Ask in the drug discussion thread
Does anyone here run a water/meth injection system?
Did a bit of reading on it a cold air intake may be a cheaper and easier solution if you want a bit more power.
Shitty 3d POC doodles at 4am [t]http://puu.sh/mQu4p/b706c6c68b.jpg[/t] the cross was supposed to be the english flag but i don't think it came out too well. I'll try again when i'm awake i guess
you wont be able to machine that if that's what you're looking to do
you wont be able to machine that if that's what you're looking to do
Because of the angle of the letters?
Because of the angle of the letters?
90degree internal angles are just a no go, you'll need to chamfer them off. And the pockets (I don't know exactly how big but I'm guessing this is fairly small) are small, you'll need a small tool to get in there which has the possibility of snapping unless you take lots of small cuts. The back looks angled too but I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks. Whilst not impossible, you'll have to get the order of your cutting operations correct or it can get really messy to clamp
Does anyone here run a water/meth injection system?
That doesn't do anything for you unless you're running a forced induction system.
Does anyone here run a water/meth injection system?
I have run hot side water injection in my 2 stroke but found that it only really helped at the RPMs where I was already on the pipe so it made it super peaky and generally unstreetable
I havent weighed my truck with the camper on yet, but my best guess is at least 7000lbs. Probably more. [editline]30th January 2016[/editline] but DAT TERK
Not too bad. What's the GVWR on your truck? Mine is an oddity for 73-87 Chevy's, it is a 4x4 rated at 8600GVWR. Normally only the 2wd trucks are rated that high, unless they're a 1 ton/1.25ton.
There's an fj55 in the running section of the junkyard near me. So tempted to get it since they're not very common around here. Also they look hella cool compared to a suburban.
you wont be able to machine that if that's what you're looking to do
nah, investment/lost wax casting. I've done it before and it's relatively painless in bronze or brass and very easy to finish well. 3d print your model, put the wax down in casting sand with a runner, torch the wax out, pour the metal, job done. The bronze comes out wonderfully for painting too. brush off the top and it looks lovely Plus it's a super shitty proof of concept doodle done while half awake. To do the final model i'd take measuerments of the actual grille slats and angle at the very least, and i have a few more ideas to try when i can think straight
That doesn't do anything for you unless you're running a forced induction system.
Yeah, I'm supercharged. I know how it all works I'm just wondering if anyone has had experience with it.
Yaaaaay we found a cubeman replacement Just dont be a sperg please Seriously though, noce ride.
The difference between me and him is that I know my car isn't a race car and it's not really even a muscle. A lot of people I know think I got it because they think I'll be racing it. But honestly, I really got it for me and me alone. I really don't give a shit what people think about it. I've already had people try to race and I just let them go, because I didn't get it for its performance. 305 horsepower is better than I've ever driven- but it's still not really "fast." But thanks man, I have driven the shut out of it already!
Hey. I've driven the shit out of my 250 hp Charger, too. If you enjoy the car, that's all that really matters.
Checked out the fj55. Its the most clapped out thing I've ever seen. They did have a fuel injected superbeetle with a fresh interior for 2500 though.
nonononono no fuel injected beetles
What happens if you make an enemy and they pour sand into your oil filler cap?? https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/5422612474.html
nonononono no fuel injected beetles
idk I've been looking for a cheap beetle to stick a fuel injected harley engine in it
