I was in a rush this morning to get to class and I drove 3 miles with my parking brake on... I didn't notice until I parked and thought "hold on, I didn't pull the lever up yet. Why is it up?" Then I got out and noticed my brakes were smoking, so I quick drove around the block to help them cool off.

Now I need to find a hill to see if I haven't worn them too bad.

This probably happens to everyone at least once, but I feel dumb. I'm gonna blame it on these dim 90s dash lights. :v:

Told DP this yesterday as it was happening, but I decided to replace all pads on the rear end instead of only the one side. I go to take off my rear driver's side tire for the first time since owning it and discovered that the god damn previous owners put thread lock on it, then used an air gun to torque the lug to no less than 3 incredible hulks, rounding the thing in the process (I assume).

So I'm like what the actual fuck. Whatever. Pounded a 3/4" socket over it, got a breaker bar, and then put a five-foot pipe over that. Got it off. Too much work for a simple brake pad replacement.

Cannot wait to get a different vehicle.
