How do you vw guys get used to having the pedals on the floor? It feels so unnatural.
what will get me laid more ONE E92 335i or an E46 330i sedan AND an E30 325i convertible??? (assume all of them are in great condition)
the E92 right???
How do you vw guys get used to having the pedals on the floor? It feels so unnatural.
magic.
The only thing that really bothered me was the breaks, and it wasn't even the pedal design fault it was a 3 pumper car. Gotta pump it 3 times before you got breaks.
Funny story, I had two sets of 60's pop out rear glass and a safari front windshield. But I cant fucking find them. But I did find some very important Audi parts I should have gave the new owner.... ooops. I also started my 60cc Gas airplane today... Kept flooding out. I had to take the spark plug out each time and blow her out to the point I finaly got her to kick over. And I'll be damned the low needle was too rich. NOPE NOT TOUCHING THAT I WILL WAIT ANOTHER YEAR.
Anyone know about R34 Skylines? Like they're illegal and all that, of course, but I've seen some sell on Ebay, etc for $60-70k. Then you have this thing pop up for $33k like it ain't no thing.

That's a tough one but I'd probably go for the E46 330i and E30 225i Conv. Despite crappy window regulators and tearable subframes, I have a big infatuation with the E46, and to a lesser extent E30. Yeah, the E92 looks great but it's heavier and more "electronic".
Both will attract ladies, but thing about what kind you want to attract.
hypebeast asian girls are down with the e92, also i streetpark in the middle of a big city lmfao
ugh im gonna miss my e46 if i do get an e92 though :(
I did this for my room mate! Lit it up with a couple LEDs and hooked it to the dimmer circuit in the vehicle.

Florida.
Basically, the Florida DMV is just about the most corrupt, shady and least respectable government body. Even more so than the EPA and FCC. Want to easily title a stolen car? Florida. Want to title your friend's mom as a car? Florida. Want to import stolen cars from overseas which are illegal at a federal level? Florida of course!
Never ever ever buy a Florida titled car outside of Florida either.

even that's high, you can usually expect to pay 25k for an r34 around here. at least last time I checked. I can't imagine they've gone down any in the last 2 or 3 years. they don't come up much though, usually one every 6 months or so
there were at least 5 registered r34s around here last I checked which honestly has been a while. there's a blue one, a black one, and a grey one that I see every once in a while in my area
[editline]1st February 2016[/editline]
Probably registered as a 240sx or something
usually they register as "nissan 2 dr" so they can't say the registrar was lying about the make and model
[editline]1st February 2016[/editline]
though I know a guy who registered his r32 back like 10 years ago as a datsun skyline last I heard he hadn't had any troubles
[editline]1st February 2016[/editline]
I remember the first time I saw a skyline on the road it was a gold r34 and I almost cried. no plates or anything and it was totally kitted out and driving around the block in a residential area so I think it was probably a legally registered "off road" (ie race) car
I didn't know they were illegal to own at the time because it was like 2000 and I was maybe 10 or 11 at the time

And I didn't realise they had mechanical fuel injection like old mercs...
No, sadly I didn't get to drive it :(

It's great to have a job where changing a part on your own car that would normally cost a fortune, is free and you get paid to do it.
[editline]1st February 2016[/editline]
I put on the wipers too high though, so I lowered them after the last pic

Depending on the insurance you have, some cover windshields. My Impreza was covered, was going to be a $450 job.
My truck, I couldn't find insurance that would let me add extras to it. It needs one somewhat(two chips, very pitted, possibly the original 31 year old windshield.) When it rains, the pits fill with water and it's very hard to see.

In Norway you always have to pay a fee to replace your windshield. The windshield alone is ~$1000 for this car and the fee I'd have to pay for the windshield and the job would be ~$250, but since I work with car glass and body damage, I'm getting it without the normal fee. The insurance company pays the place I work for the windshield and the job.

The start of your post kinda sounds like you think I'm American and didn't know about insurance. lel

Here's 5 hours worth of auto show pictures off my phone. My phone was acting up all day so forgive the quality on some pictures. I'll go through and straighten them all out eventually too.

A neighbor down my street has one of these, along with a Countach and several other classics. Can always hear them a quarter mile away practically. It's always a beautiful sound, makes me run to the nearest window in the house every time!

I know you aren't American, I was assuming that it would be fairly similar where you are.
Many, many people here don't know about windshield coverage.
Why is the windshield so expensive, the location? Here, they are generally $100-200 new.

Windshields cost from 4000 - 20000 NOK from what I've seen. Mine was almost 8000 NOK which is roughly $1000.
I have no idea why they are so much more expensive, but it's Norway. Everything is insanely expensive here.
apparently my neighbour that I just got to know has a buick GSX (i think) under a tarp in his garage.

Also I don't think I ever shared this with you guys (if I did I apologize) but I remembered I have the album of (most of) the cool/fun/interesting cars I got to drive while working as a valet over the summer.

The off road stuff is by far the coolest, I love Porsches but I just can't get excited about one unless it was mine or something.
Why did I have to change my password again?
Why did I have to change my password again?
because they didn't change the setting when that password leak happened

You got to drive an ICON? Tha's awesome! What'd you think of it?
Im looking at getting a subaru Outback.
Anybody had success with Marvel Mystery Oil? I got a quart to put in with my oil next change because I heard it might help my noisy valve lifters. IDK about leaving it in the oil for the full 5k miles though, maybe I'll do two changes in a row.
Yooo guess who's 16 year old shitbucket ford decided to overheat and start spewing ATF while I'm out delivering pizzas? Yup me.
Just changed the water pump 2 weeks ago when the seal went bad and started burning coolant. Yesterday I'm out delivering and I noticed that the half lit temp gauge is suddenly way in the H. I drove it back to the store and popped the hood. Neither fans are turning on, with or without A/C. While trying to figure out if it's a fuse or a relay I notice fluid on the ground, like a lot of fluid. Red tinge, check the trans dipstick and its dry with red goop dried on the end.
Cooling fans I can dick around with and fix, transmission deciding it's trying to kill itself? Nah. Not while I have to work at the hospital 3 days a week. Decided to have it towed to a dealership and see if they can figure it out.
Looks like I'm going to have to brave the (thankfully mild) winter in a miata, on summer tires.

As long as you avoid first gens with EJ25D engines (unless they have new headgaskets), they are great cars. That'd be 96-99 years. Newer ones have the Ej251/253 with much less gasket issues, up until brand new ones with the redisigned engines that I habe no experience with.

Its the magic oil of unfreezing a engine. Onlything it does is clean up deposits in the oil, and truly does not provide proficient lubrication property's. If you run it for more than a few hundred miles I'm afraid you would cause more wear on your engine than normal. Buy some. Open the container and see how thin it is, notice how its too thin to do any lubrication of the engine. This same applys to seafoam in oil. Has plenty of cleaning property's just no lubrication property's.
I end up keeping more seafoam around than marvel. Because seafoam can treat gas like stabil.

Towed to a dealership for transmission issues? HA. 89% of dealerships are just gonna recommend a brand new trans when they probably overlooked the fact once you heated your radiator up past 240*F than the trans decided to puke its fluid because it overheated too. And this is the lovely issues of having trans coolers built into radiators.
