What signs does it have of being done before? 114k miles is early for a head gasket set failure, if it was already changed out, they would've had to have done something off somewhere - Once it is done, it is usually set for life if done right. I would save up, and be prepared for if it gets worse. Some people drive for years on the external leaks without issues, though it's not the best thing to do. When you do have it done again - don't skimp out on doing it right. Get the heads machined, get the updated gaskets that are much better. If you don't do it yourself, make sure a reputable shop does it.
I won't be doing a job like that, I have a friend whose boyfriend is a mechanic and he does all of the serious work for any of my cars. I forget what he pointed out to me but he said he's positive it has had head gaskets replaced before and they're on their way out again now that it's externally weeping on the passenger side and driver side (but the driver side was just a TINY bit of weeping, passenger side was worse). Ah well.
Well...there comes a moment in every man's life for there first accident I guess. It's like 70 here in February, last year it was like -15 here last year. So of course, I'm just cruising around on back roads, doing about 35, turn was a bit sharper then I thought. Hit a patch of gravel, roads were a bit wet and shitty tires Sorry if picture is big, mobile phone.
Thats really not too bad for a first accident. Pull the caved in part out, stick a blinker in there, clean off the scuffs, and I bet it wont look too bad at all.
a bit of t-cut and it'll be good as new
Its snowed 6" in 6 hours. Highways are closed. Drifts are 3 feet deep. Safe to say, I have nowhere to be tonight...and my hockey game is cancelled :(

Got my Toyota looked at for no charge. My strut has gone bad but balljoints are fine.

So, on the way through Christiansburg today for work, I got stuck in traffic for an hour and a half due to a vehicle fire. Got through the multitudes of morons ignoring the 'This lane ends in x feet' signs plastered two miles away from the actual issue and the illuminated billboards VDOT has that warns for miles and miles away of issues. Get to the vehicle fire, and expecting some truck that overheated and ignited, found the shell remains of a 50-foot-long steel-body scrap truck which had the rear wheel housings and the steel bed and body completely melted off for about seven-feet. That was not how I expected to start my six-hours of driving today...... E: Oh, hey, they actually had a news article on it. Supposedly the load was milled corn and the rear axles overheated causing the fire; but all I know was it was weird looking over at a dangling trailer bed that looked steel that had melted and burned away above the housings. Snow in WI here, too. Bout 5-6" or so in 6 hours as well (same storm). Woke up at noon, not snowing. Got dressed and went outside 10 minutes later to work on the Talon, snowing like mad. Bleh. But took 10 minutes and got the started back in and jumped the solenoid connections to start it, which worked. So now I just gotta fix the breakdown between the key and the solenoid, which should be easy. Running Talon for $600! After that I spent the day at a buddy's house building another studded ice racing tire. Only pics can describe the misery. I have to say, I was actually happy that I was able to get out of the rut I was in, the scruffs are already gone, I pulled on it a bit, I think I'm going to take the fender off and hit it with a rubber mallet, should make it look brand new, a fresh coat of black plasti-dip and it be good as new!
I called customer support on a site i usually order my car parts from and as soon as i told him it's 1340 he told me it's the cam shaft sensor and he helped me with the translation and all. He even opened up his web browser to help me look for the problem. So he told me it could be the sensor or the ignition coils. What a totally shit mechanic, a fucking customer support told me the problem. I know the ignition coil in cylinder 3 broke so i changed it so i guess i will be getting a new sensor and 3 new ignition coils and be done with it. But the site did not have it in storage which was for 499 SEK so the cheapest one i could find in the nearest car part shop is 998 SEK Now i also need to order me some new screenwipers because they were stolen while the car was outside of the workshop lol. That car is fucking my wallet in everyside.
Cam sensors are common on Saabs, there's one failing pretty much every day in the STCN facebook group.

This happened eight days after I bought it, admittedly it was my fault and was declared a write-off. Remember when I spoke about being desperate to find an Isuzu Vehicross? Well, I found one. It's got less km than the one I was trying to find, has the leather seats and looks to be in far better condition. At this price it's a steal. ...It's a great thing that I don't have either the money or a job to support a purchase, maintenance and rego. Even this cheap.
Cam sensors are common on Saabs, there's one failing pretty much every day in the STCN facebook group.
You know if it's easy to change the sensor by your self?
Sold the Merc and got this instead: [t]http://puu.sh/mUoJY.jpg[/t] What a beast [sp]No I didn't. Borrowing this from work for a day[/sp]
second generation yarises / aygos / smaller toyotas of the mid-2000s are actually quite cute and nice I just wish they stuck with it instead of becoming all edgy for the new decade [editline]3rd February 2016[/editline] really considering a second generation yaris for my next car in replacement of my honda fit cause of how silly cheap and cute they are
You know if it's easy to change the sensor by your self?
You had a second gen 9-3 right? What year is it?

Hmm, I can't find anything in the WIS about a cam position sensor, but the crank position sensor is simply remove the top engine cover, unscrew the sensor and screw the new one in, at least if you've got the 4 cyl petrol engine. And no, it doesn't matter. YS3 means it was made in Sweden, and the F means it's a 9-3.

Because the code i got was a 1340 and according to people it could be the cam position sensor.
Turns out the B207 doesn't have a cam position sensor, it actually uses the coils and park plugs to sense the compression in the cylinder. So you need some new Saab/Mitsubishi coils, and you should be all good.
lmao so the shop wants $600 to replace the fans (if the fans are even the issue, and not a temp gauge or fuse or relay or something else) and $1500 for a new transmission seal. I paid $2000 for the damn thing in 09. At that price point I might as well just buy a crown vic interceptor
