Heres a neat video i found on the production of the Fiat Punto 176 (93 - 2000) As you can see, many parts were actualy assembled on the factory line itself, but in current factories many modules come pre-assembled (i.e dashboard). Kinda interesting on how Fiat worked back in the 90s
the engines really are good, they pull well and there is room for more power out of them since the Zetec S Red/Black come with 145hp standard compared to my 125. And mine is more powerful than the 100hp bottom of the range 1.0 turbo. That's the reason I'm considering the map. [editline]4th February 2016[/editline] did he drive like a penis the guys I'm looking at provide a warranty for their map, so if anything goes bang as a result of the map within a year they'll pay. my car is out of the Ford warranty this year anyway so if the engine went bang I'd be fucked anyway v:v:v
I suspect the oil system was not up to the job. It was an 07.
I smashed the trailer hitch on my Saab into my dad's shed in the garage shortly after I got it. Had been driving his auto Opel/Buick, got in the Saab and turned the key, backed right into the shed.
Almost destroyed my Pontiac, Wasn't my fault though. I just went to move it and it turns out the brake line from the fluid reservoir was so rusted it fell off so The car had no brakes and started rolling down our slanted driveway that was leading to the road and another house. Put it in reverse to get it to slow down and had to have my dad come and throw a few blocks under the wheels while I backed it back into the garage. gaining momentum down a hill with no brakes is some scary shit.
I suspect the oil system was not up to the job. It was an 07.
mine's a 63. the oil in mine is 5w20 so it's seriously lightweight.

My Carbon Miata hardtop and spoiler arrived today finally. Initial order was placed end of November...not that I expected any sort of fast delivery, but the damn import broker did hold it up a couple weeks! Went through some BS with them in short....still kinda sorting that out. I'm really happy it's here, and the quality is pretty nice, but little did I know zero hardware would be supplied. Nor would I expect the lexan window would still need to be installed! I need all the latches plus the window seals, which could cost me even more $$$ ($200-$300 potentially). I truly know what a money pit car is now! I also got some "seatbelt extenders" which hopefully work really nicely, and some rain rails in just plain fiberglass. Another annoyance is they are unpainted, but I can get paint cheap and possibly do an acceptable job on them. Considering painting them same red as car. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/gvsPZS6.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/3hsdm1A.jpg[/thumb] Surprisingly the only real "damage" sustained in transit during it's nearly 7,300 mile journey to my cozy little Southern NH town!

I finally got a chance to dig into the starting issue on the Talon I bought.. at 10pm in the dark and cold. But I got it fixed!! The NSS plug was just danging under the car instead of being plugged into the transmission. That'll do it. So check that off the list. Now I have... -Fix janky deck install -Fix FL speaker, inoperative. -Fix broken trunk latch -Fix dangling cig lighter -Look into engine mount bolt being possibly loose -Replace 1 rear running light -Tighter clamp on trans line -Flush out heater core, seems to be plugged-ish -Remove rust from rockers, seal metal that is still good, and reinstall side skirts to cover massive holes. -Fix rot hole on P-side strut tower -Re attatch FR turn signal marker So far so good. One of my buddies wants to buy it next pay day.. I said go for it, then it all becomes his little stuff to fix, except I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the one fixing it whether it's his or mine anyways, lol.
Well my crown vics all sortsa fucked all kinds of up. I let my mom drive it for the past few weeks while my dad and I are replacing the clutch in her mini, and today she comes hope and tells me its acting a little funny, so I go out to check it, open the door, and this rancid awful smoke billows out the door when I open it. Turns out that 4 inch rust hole in the floor pan 2 months ago turned into the entire fucking front half of it is gone, and the catalytic converter melted a big ass hole in the insulation and rubber floor. [t]http://i.imgur.com/QEKZUyc.jpg[/t] And then on top of that, I started it up to see what "funny" means, and the damned thing starts up fine, but sounds and feels like some decrepit old engine that just got pulled out of a lake, its chugging and blubbering all over the place and took a pretty good pedal stomp just to bring the rpm up to 2500 idling. [t]http://i.imgur.com/zIJjzGE.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/yGipfMH.png[/t] And then she tells me at one point she saw sparks coming from behind the car like something was dragging. http://imgur.com/a/sNdEH More pics of my 300zx! Don't worry about the bumper/blinkers, I don't have the quick release on the other side cause I was under it earlier to install the blinkers, I have to say, this car is LOUD and when I mean loud, I mean...like...no idea. But it doesn't sound awful at all, in all honestly, it sounds like it has a 1000hp v12 ferrari motor in it. Just no ass to back it up. If I can get a good video to capture the sound, I'll show you guys what I'm talking about. Also, what do you guys think about these wheels?
http://imgur.com/a/sNdEH Also, what do you guys think about these wheels?
They're pretty round it looks like. I see tires too. That's a good sign. 5 lug nut holes, so that gives you the option of having just 1, or 3, or 5 lug nuts. I kinda like that.
Hoping to install the tripometer in my truck today, making it possibly the rarest/second rarest gauge cluster of all. Tripometers were never standard in 73-87 trucks. Very, VERY few of the later years had them. In 88-91, some K5 and Suburbans got an electronic odometer with trip that doesn't swap over. I ended up getting my hands on a correct tripometer cluster for cheap to swap the trip into mine. This would make it a Diesel cluster, with factory clock and tripometer, with everything working properly. Only thing rarer is the factory tach, which does not work on diesels.
bah I thought I was going to see a Z31 in that album
Nope, sorry. Z32 it is! Funny story about wheels though, back when I got my first car, my 95 Integra and had a new set of wheels come in, I was all excited, took my old ones off, put my new ones on and drove around the block, when I started driving down the road, a weird clunking sound was coming from the back driver side. I was really confused, did I put one on wrong? So after going around te block and pulling back in, when I got out, I felt something in my pocket, reached in, pulled it out...a lug nut....all 4 of them....whoops!
Guess what works again ? Fkn emergency brake :O Aww yeahh Also no more wobbly shifter. New transmission mount :weeb:

Installed the tripometer, haven't had a chance to drive on it yet. Will have to tear my cluster apart again, to replace the voltmeter and clock (i have spares of both.) Voltmeter needle partially broke off while cleaning crud out of the cluster, clock that's in it turns out to be missing enough threads to not accept the knob. While I was at it, I; Found my missing A/C control bulb socket, was dangling behind dash Installed the RCA - 3.5MM output on my radio. Not sure where to have it, though. Its an iPlug thing Cleaned contacts on fuel gauge Polished cluster cover Cleaned cluster reflector Found out that VSS was removed. Unable to install new one without removing dash cover, will do some other day. Few other misc things. Hopefully everything works good. I didn't plan for this to be a big project.

So...I bought another e38 [t]http://puu.sh/mXnId/9a917d43de.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/mXnJk/41f4ef1fbb.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/mXnK4/4755af640d.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/mXnM0/bc93ee1184.jpg[/t] Bought it on eBay. Current owner is loaded and fixing a few things found on the PPI for no added cost. I'm fucking stoked. Selling the '08 750Li too.
What... am... I looking at here? Its like someone painted a car on canvas and then streaked it with an aircan before it could dry.
What I do know is it's a 3rd gen eclipse with a shitty, broken wide body kit that was painted over and that its wheels don't fill out the flares that are still there. What I don't know is why anyone that wasn't from 2003 would purposely do this. :v:
Totally thought that last pick was a screw driver ignition, though... Just saying.
