Alright, my friend and I have been driving the red Daytona around, even though it has a 3-speed auto and an only 100HP, it's fun as hell to drive. [t]http://i.imgur.com/QVV4gUz.jpg[/t] I'm getting really ansty about my blue Daytona. I really want to finish the motor so I can get it running in mine. I can only imagine how fun it will be with a 4-speed and a torquey V6 making more than twice the HP and torque.
I bought a L33, trying to decide to put a T56 or 4l80e behind it. I guess that all decides on what I put it in.... 500$ and a weekend looks promising.
Thoughts on the Mazda5 wagon (microvan) for our grocery getter-gf's daily driver? It's one thing after another with her old jeep.
Thoughts on the Mazda5 wagon (microvan) for our grocery getter-gf's daily driver? It's one thing after another with her old jeep.
I was looking at that before I set my sights on a Ford Focus Wagon. It seems decent.
I attempted to drive a car in Bali, Indonesia, time to never try that again! Also holy hell the amount of riced up buses with the F1 style brake lights are hilarious. At least fuel and car parts and cheap as hell, shame I can't take any back to Aus D:
F1 cars dont have brake lights
F1 cars dont have brake lights
Didn't realise that until just then. The wet weather light in that case, except they come on while braking.
Ok, there is visible white/grayish smoke coming out of my exhausts is that normal? It's not even that cold outside?
Ok, there is visible white/grayish smoke coming out of my exhausts is that normal? Found a pair of rad fans for just over $100 seems like a steal considering most places want $80 for the fan motor and $40 for the fan itself http://www.1aauto.com/ford-taurus-mercury-sable-radiator-and-a-c-condenser-cooling-fan-assembly-pair/i/1arfk00004?f=852906&y=2000&utm_campaign=gb_csv_br&utm_content=RFK&gclid=Cj0KEQiA0Na1BRDlkqOcyczng5cBEiQAnEDa2OIu1CVjdLhbaG3hounOkl123PTOm048sDzhiB0C6SUaAuCZ8P8HAQ
Update on my Saab, I replaced all of the ignition coils but the engine lights was still on so i took it for a test and still the same :c Also the car turned it self off while test driving. I'm still waiting for the camshaft to arrive so probably on monday. If changing the camshaft does nothing i guess i'll have to take it to a proper workshop and let them fix it.
Your ECU remembers the fault, so that you can read the fault code even if it's an intermitent problem. Disconnecting your battery for about a minute should make the CEL go away, but the code might still be stored in the ECU until you hook up a code reader and clear them.
Ok, there is visible white/grayish smoke coming out of my exhausts is that normal? It's not even that cold outside?
Is it continuous white smoke or does it go away after you've driven for a bit
So i need to clean the code first before i can see if the problem is fixed? as in the problem might actually been fixed when i replaced the ignition coils but i need to reset first?
Yup.
Is it continuous white smoke or does it go away after you've driven for a bit
yeah, it gets worse as soon i hit the gas. My exhausts becomes like smoke machines.
yeah, it gets worse as soon i hit the gas. My exhausts becomes like smoke machines.
Does your car feel bogged down? Has it overheated at all? Does the oil look like chocolate milk?
yeah, it gets worse as soon i hit the gas. My exhausts becomes like smoke machines.
Does it go away after the vehicle is at operating temperature?
Does it go away after the vehicle is at operating temperature?
Ok let me try to explain the problem with the car right now. Firstly the generator failed and i got a new one. So the mechanic put the new one in and it was good to go. The car felt fresh and full of "Life" So the next day i took it for a wash and afterwards i drove and suddently i heard a "bang" and when i hit the gas the car felt weak and it wont go further than 2000 RPM and the car was stuttering forward, Hit the gas again and released it and the car got " Pushed" forward. So i was trying to find a spot where i can stop and examine what the hell is going on and when i was making a left turn the car turned off and i had trouble to steer. So i called a friend and we towed the car. Fast fowarding, my mechanic became an asshole and told me to get it to a Saab workshop because he dont know what is wrong it but he told me it's a 1340. I googled, asked here and people responded with Cam shaft positioner. So today i bought a new positioner and 4 new Ignition coils because why not. I changed the 4 coils and took it for a drive but still the same. I'm still waiting for the positioner to arrive. So the car feels and behaves like it's suffocating. I'm sorry for being so shit at explaining it.

After what the police did to it, I can understand how it can easily have that much rust
Is that really a 6 year old car ? Which car is it ?
Thats the floorboard of a CVPI
a what
Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - P71
So, in a year or so time I will more than likely have the money to obtain a project car, one that will gofast and be cool and stuff, most likely import from japan, but I'm too indecisive on the two RX7 and DR30 Skyline Turbo RS-X I love the 13B in the RX7, and parts won't be too hard to get and not too expensive. But the DR30 is so damn unique and great looking, but parts are rare and expensive. I want to go with the skyline more but if I get one I'll probably regret it financially, but if I don't I'll probably regret it emotionally, the RX7 is more of a fallback choice I want to get the decision down soonish as I can start researching either one of them sooner rather than later. Decisions are hard, I want both
Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - P71
P73* mnyeh I spose after 280k miles in canada and rustbelt america its resaonable to have some rust, but not the entire damn floorpan. Fabrication makes me cranky.
I had to rip the rear seats and bench out of the RSX today just to get to a fucking lugnut (why?) that was rolling around under there.

Look what I came across today boiz:
